The crew from Smokin' Performance will be deciding sometime this week on a family to adopt from the Angel Tree network, which is families that are in need and can not provide a Christmas for their families.  I will be going to one of the locations within the next week to select a family in the metro area, most likely in the Garland area as that is where most of SP is located.

We will select a family, and then we will use SP funds and private funds to purchase gifts for the children and at least one dual gift for the parents, such as a dinner and movie or something in which they can enjoy by themselves. We also will be providing a fully home-cooked meal and on the day that we choose, we will get a caravan of our mustangs and drive to the home, where we will give them the gifts and serve them the dinner. Our hopes is to make this Christmas at least better than what it was going to be. We are also looking for a Santa costume so that one of our crew members can play the role and make the day all that more special for the children.

If you would like to donate anything - money, toys, food - we will gladly accept it and it will go a long ways in making this day special for that family. Smokin' Performance is in a state of constant growth and we are always looking for new members. By joining us on the site www.smokinperformance.com, you will experience a very laid back and family atmosphere while also witnessing some really nice cars and some great forums. These forums entail everything from simple "small talk" to a political forum to events and more.

We have been a club since 2003 and have just recently made some changes to the club and it's operations. We are genreally very active in race events across the metroplex and also have plans in the works for a cannonball run and a cruise to Mexico!!! As the member list grows and we get more paticipants, we will work on bigger and better future events.

Smokin Performance (SP) is a realatively small club compared to most but has some of the best people as members, and it is a very family style atmosphere. We are actively seeking out new members especailly for the SP Crew, and would love to have any of you come out and join us at the weekly gtg's we hold every Thursday night. This week we will be at Cedar Creek on Staurday night for a night of friends and fun. We will also be attending the RKC meet on Monday November 2 so come out and find us there... The SP server is down and has now been so since late Friday night. I have contacted IdleServ by email (cause they have no phone  number) to resolve the issue and am awaiting a response. I hope to have the site back up Monday morning.....
