SDT will be be back at Zoo Southside this year performing two shows on separate nights. On 18, 19, 22, 23, 27, 28 Aug SDT will perform LUXURIA by Liv Lorent.
LUXURIA, a signature work for SDT,
was performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005, winning a prestigious
Herald Angel Award. LUXURIA explores a desire and our search for fulfillment.
Visually arresting, cinematic and with haunting music, LUXURIA is a feast for
the senses.
On 20, 21, 25, 26, 29 and 30 Aug SDT will perform A Visitation by Ina Christel Johannessen.
A Visitation is the first commission for SDT from
Ina Christel Johannessen, an influential force in Norwegian contemporary dance.
The work is inspired by the vivid descriptive writing of Bruno Schultz and The Street of Crocodiles, a collection
of his short stories. A Visitation features 5 wooden
mannequins, 5 ghosts and 5 people, in an evocative setting created by Ina’s
long-time designer, Kathrine Tolo. Haunting work - literally.
