Mr Ian Finley/HRÉOWSIAN/Fintroll from Wodensthrone/That Hideous Strength fame has joined Dawn of Chaos.

The band is extremely happy Ian has agreed to join and after one practise we are certain this is the correct appointment. Ians style has brought a new dimension to the band and its suits the new direction of the band more appropriatly. Ian also adds more depth to the older songs bringing gravity blasts and some of the craziest fills to add to a more technical death metal drumming sound.

Make sure you come and check Ian out when we perform with Wodensthrone at Rock the Barn.

Ellllllllllooooooooo! just giving every one an update on whats happening in the world of Dawn of Chaos as we dont do these often enough. We are not dead quiet yet and hopefully should have a drummer auditioning very soon which will hopefully enable us to get back onto the gigging front if everything goes well.

Whilst we are still without a Drummer this has not stopped us working hard at the planned debut album. 11 tracks have been chosen for the "yet to be named" album which will consist of 5 re-recordings and 6 brand new songs. Dan.R has been hard at work and has recorded the demo tracks for the album along to a drum machine. Here is the track listing for the album (titles may change):

1 - Bitch Died A Virgin
2 - Butchered By Retards
3 - Fisted
4 - The Dead Shall Walk The Earth
5 - Force Fed Embryonic Slurry
6 - Muffocated
7 - An Austrian Nursery (C)rhyme
8 - A Fitting End (Ohh Goody Its Dead)
9 - False Messiah
10 - Guantanamo Bay
11 - 10'000 Maniacs

Cheers

Dawn of Chaos are happy to announce that Ken Turner has returned to the band. We are extremly happy about Ken's decision to return to the band as we never wished him to leave in the first place. Ken Turner is the only original member left in the band and was instrumental to creating the Dawn of Chaos sound.

Ken had this to say upon his quick return "Dawn of Chaos has been my lifes work for the best part of a decade and I hastily walked away from this due to personal reasons. Having some time to reflect upon my actions, I have come to realise just what Dawn of Chaos means to me. I am not prepared to hang my guitar up just yet"

We would like to welcome Ken back with open arms and we believe no stronger chemistry could be forged with any other members. We are thankful to those who enquired to joining the band and we look forward to building a stronger future with Ken.

It is with great regret we announce the departures of original member and guitarist Ken Turner and drummer Ben Alldred. Both members have found themselves on a new path in life which unfortunately does no coincide with the band. We would like to wish both of the lads the greatest success in all future endeavors as without there contribution the band would not be were it is today. Both members last show will be at the O2 Academy, Newcastle on May 1st.

Paul,Dan.R & Dan.J will continue with the planned recording of DOC debut album. We are happy to announce that for the recording of our debut album our good friend Steve Powell from Anaal Nathrakh/Detrimentum/ex-Theoktony will be recording drums (Watch Video below of Steve). Steve is an exceptional drummer and we are pleased to have him among the ranks for the recording. As for live shows the three remaining members will be trying to recruit the right members in which they feel can help with the growth and progression of the band.

If you would like to audition for the band on either drums or guitar please contact Paul at jimihendrix_is_god@msn.com or Dan.R at youth_gone_wild_91@hotmail.co.uk

First of all we finally have our paypal up and running! You can now purchase our new EP via the myspace for £5 plus p&p, woo hoo!

After a busy beginning to the year including two tours with our good pals Dead Beyond Buried and playing many shows up and down the country with amazing bands such as Anaal Nathrakh, Man Must Die, Trigger The Bloodshed, Madman is Absolute and many more we are finally taking a break in Dawn of Chaos. Well not really we are just taking a break on the gigging front.

The rest of the year will see us concentrate on writing and recording for our split with Scouse scumbags Neuroma aswell as our debut full length. Writing for the split is almost complete and will feature 5 brand new songs (3 which have never been played live before). As for the full length it will combine a bit of everything from the old, the ugly and some new stuff aswell.

Last but certainly not least we have finally found our new second guitarist. Mr Dan Rochester has been jamming with us for over a month or two now and has nailed everything put infront of him aswell as helping write towards the split. Dan is an 18 year old prodigy whos writing style is helping push us forward more in terms of technicality and groove and we are glad to have him join the ranks.

Cheers and Beers

Review from Turks Bar, Reading 21/06/08
Taken from BBC Berkshire

Going one better still than their gig mates, Dawn Of Chaos are a death/grind band of a decidedly rare breed nowadays.

While they are aggressive and blisteringly brutal as one expects of bands of their ilk, a breath of fresh air comes in their wilfully self-deprecating humour; not many groups would turn their hand to writing a poser-baiting song entitled F*** Off, You're Not Death Metal and granting it a distinctly catchy anthemic edge – it literally is all you can do not to growl along to some of the memorable belters these boys, well, belt out.

Ones to definitely keep an eye on there!

Just like to say a big thank you to every one that came out and made this another memorable tour. Biggest thanks go out to the Dead Beyond Buried boys especially John who gave us a floor to crash on and plenty of booze to abuse. Dead Beyond Buried are the best touring buddies a band could ask for and am sure we be tearing up the stage with them in the very near future.

A big shout out goes to the boys in Trigger The Bloodshed who where all top guys and the kind words they said on stage where much appreciated. A lot of respect goes out to them as even though they couldnt play the Reading show they still showed up anyway for a beer and a laugh . We also wish all the best to Charlie there vocalist and hope he gets well soon.

I have just found this review while searching through the net. Pretty cool lil write up,so........ enjoy!

Sunday 1st April 2007, Cerebral Effusion, Septycal Gorge, Putrefy, Kastrated, Dawn of Chaos @ Satan's Hollow, Manchester .. ParagraphTitleEnd -->
.. ParagraphBodyStart -->

Despite being less than three years old, Hartlepool's DAWN OF CHAOS make a fair effort of opening proceedings as the brutality-hungry crowd intend them to go on. Football-shirt clad vocalist Paul Hartburn growls and pig-squeals impressively over his band-mates death-thrash carnage. Offering free demos as they go (The Dead Shall Walk the Earth- self-released), this tour is sure to do the band no small amount of good.

On the back of the impressive recent split-cd with fellow north-west brutal death acts Ingested and Crepitation (North West Slam Fest- Grindethic), Burnley brutalists KASTRATED are one of the handful of bands currently defining, for the first time, a powerful UK brutal death 'scene'. On stage, they come across even better than the aforementioned record, gripping the entirety of the small venue with a ferocious slam-death attack that leaves little room for subtlety. A band to keep your eye on. Despite the fact they had to stop half-way through one song as the bassist answered a call, seemingly from his mum asking him whether he'd be home for tea.

Northern Ireland's PUTREFY don't fair so well due mainly to the frankly downright annoying use of massive echo on the vocals. Whether or not its ok to use such effects to achieve the Devourment style vocal splurge is a matter of opinion, but when the music is reduced to a down-tuned sludge of unidentifiable riffs, its just not enough. Strong tracks such as Mutilated Slutfuck go some way repair the damage, but inevitably this doesn't match up to the previous act.

SEPTYCAL GORGE get things moving again with their Suffocation via Disgorge (US) blasts, raising the tempo in Satan's by several notches. The Turin based band unleash a barrage of guttural slam-death with a modern technical groove, whilst vocalist Mariano Somà makes the most energetic front-man performance of the night. By the close of the set, there is a palpable sense that what comes next must surely provide a fitting end to this supreme brutality-fest.

And CEREBRAL EFFUSION do just that, with a devastatingly powerful sound that rumbles somewhere deep in the gut, covered by gargling vocals that almost resemble a burping-frog. Celebrating ten-years in the business, these Spaniards know exactly what they about and what they do best, and that is this rumbling behemoth of a death metal band. Excellent stuff, and a perfect end to a great gig.
