I know I’ve kept this a bit of a secret but my new album ‘Canon’ will be released at a private party and barbeque on Sunday the 6^th December. I’d like you to come along and join me and my guest band as we perform a few songs from the new album, and then relax with all the usual barby sophistication.....

I’m going to be joined by a number of special guests, Rohan Kay, Tim Warmington, Sonoko Nishio , Nevil Schultz, Dave Mcdonald, Stuart Naylor, Gretchen Anderson, Lizzy Walsh, Lynette Rayner and a couple more still to confirm.

Tribute To Tony?

Why Tribute To Tony, is it some obscure reference to the Pixie's. I guess the tune does share a similar musical device, one time against another, but the details are for the geeks.

It could be a reference to drummer Tony Williams, ok it is a reference to drummer Tony Williams, a working title that survived a late night attempt at re-baptism. The connection between the title and the song, and the Pixie's to that matter? I dunno.

Big Daddy Funk ain't about that, Big Daddy funk is about gettin it orn. Let's get it orn.

It's been a few years since I wrote something that has really taken me by surprise. Precious Heart has REALLY taken me by surprise. For me theres more going on here than 2 minutes 30 of tennis racket air guitar . . . .

Ok strikes again is an exaggeration. Strikes, would be more accurate.
