First and foremost I want to say that I love Myspace and Facebook and a number of online communities because I can connect directly with the fans that can't see me live.

On that note, I want to ask all of you for your help. I love to perform. I love to play and sing for people that enjoy to listen. At this point, I am playing shows mostly in Canada specifically in Ontario and Alberta.

BUT- I want to play for YOU! I want to play for you in Australia and I want to play for you in Sweeden, and I want to play for you in the United States. If you want to hear me anywhere in the world, I want to play and sing for you.

So no matter where you are, please tell me about your venues or your promoters, or your agents, or anything at all that can lead me to you. Send me any info you like and I promise I will do my best to come and play for you.

Also - I recently found out that my Myspace settings were automatically accepting friend requests. So unless you've sent me a comment or message, I might not have noticed your presence. Please drop me a line and say hello!

Happy February 2008!!!!

I'm based out of Toronto and I find that too many Canadians seem to complain about the heat all summer long and the cold all winter long. I think that upon turning 16 as a Canadian Citizen, one should have to choose which season you're going to be allowed to complain about for the rest of your life. Aside from some fun with the occasional winter sport, I find the cold is pretty tough, so I hereby choose... the cold! What do you think people?
The weather in Toronto this week has been unbelievably beautiful. This makes it tough to stay in the studio, but here I am today working on finishing touches for the song "Athabasca".
Athabasca is a small town about a 100 miles, or 160 kms north of Edmonton Alberta. I saw the most unbelievable moon and sky reflecting over Baptiste Lake. Absolutely unforgettable!

...still working on my CD. Today I'm touching up vocals on a song called "Big Crow Rising". I'm also adding some very cool but subtle synth parts made on my original Moog Prodigy along with a Virus B which I'm borrowing from my good friend Dany Kane. (More about Dany later.) I've written lyrics for the majority of my album, but this one comes from an old friend Danny Stonagle who now lives in Calgary, Canada. Danny is a real poet at heart. I love his work. He comes across to me like somewhere between Leonard Cohen and Earnest Hemmingway. Does that seem rediculous??? -hahah. Anyway, the music is mine and I'm happy to take a backseat on the lyric for a change. I've recorded live strings on this one which sound amazing. They were arranged by the incredibly talented Chris Dedrick who is based out of Toronto now. Chris actually arranged strings for James Taylor and Peter Paul and Mary back in the day. Also of note, there's a wicked key change after the bridge which leads to a stirring Flugel horn solo. It came as quite an accident really. Originally I did a demo on my computer and I was changing the keys to find the best place for my vocal. The bridge was accidentally left unchanged and sounded amazing. I hope you all love this song as much as I do!

so a few people requested that I start this blog, so you all can know a little bit more about me.

I recorded a new record with the wonderfully talented Grammy nominated Canadian Brass this week. What a great experience sitting along side multiple Grammy Winner Dixon Van Winkle. After the Brass sessions were over I asked Dixon how he would record Piano for that early 70's Elton John sound. He turned to me and said I'll show you how I recorded Elton in the early 70's. This completely blew my mind. I knew he had worked with Paul McCartney and Wings, Sinatra and some other big stuff but I had no idea about Elton. SO... I recorded piano on a new song called "No Sun" with his set-up. How sweet is that? I can't wait to show you!
