During June - July of MMIX the second VALKYRJA album was manifested in Necromorbus Studio, namely "Contamination". This artillery of disaster and repulsive madness shows the most vicious work to date. The 10 track of morbid Metal, whose violence has branded the bands signet since MMIV, has reached new peaks and descended further down into the deeps.

*The 22nd of June VALKYRJA will begin the recording of the second album in Necromorbus Studio. The procedure will span throughout the summer and be available in printed form in late 2009 / early 2010 through Metal Blade Records - if no greater harm is done to the schedule. As for now there are no further details available. Nothing more will be written until everything is completed and an entry including all information and alike will follow..

*The re-release date for the debut album "The Invocation of Demise" has been set to July 17th. Pre-orders are taken in Metal Blades web store, as promised with new cover artwork which will be uploaded in the near future when the time does allow us.

*VALKYRJA has inked a deal with the veterans Metal Blade Records. Forthcoming aural offerings and merchandise will be released under their banner.

*A re-release of the debut album "The Invocation of Demise" will be released 19th of June via Metal Blade Records including new artwork. The Northern Silence version is thereby no longer in pressing and the remaining copies at the labels store are the last to be delivered to the masses.

*A new homepage will be up and running within a near future on new webspace - WWW.VALKYRJA.SE. Update your links and alike.

*Last, but not least - note that the only information concerning VALKYRJA is found on this MySpace and the upcoming webpage. Several sites carrying the name of the band include false or incomplete information and should therefore to be neglected completely. This is what happens when you let idiots maintain unofficial band sites.

*Mikael A. has filled the bass position - a being in this covenant to recognize in the future. Former 5-string maniac Lindgren is no longer between the borders of Svea and therefor left a blank.

*Our collaboration with german label Northern Silence Productions has ended due to label change. Now is not the time to reveal what label we've inked a seal with, but it's widely known one who will not only be responsible for future releases but also - due to the cut with Northern Silence - handle a reissue of the debut album "The Invocation of Demise". The artwork and layout will be completely remade and appear in the middle of '09.
