Hello, Motel Motel is officially taking a break from Live shows until the new year, we will be writing and recording our next record! so please stay tuned....

So we settled back into the city after our travels to Egypt and England, and we have also increased the intensity of the writing and planning of our next record (we are heading into the studio in December).  Therefore, we will not be playing too many shows the rest of the year.  However, if you would like to see us, we will be participating in the CMJ music marathon, which just so happens to take place where we live.  Shows so far are:

we are back from Egypt and have taken a bit of time off but are now getting ready to play with These United States at Mercury Lounge August 27th in NYC.  Please come by, the show starts at 10pm.  Here are some  videos from the tour in Egypt.

Dear Paper Magazine,

Here are some videos taken of our last tour, thank you everyone for coming to the shows, we will be back on the road soon.

The rest of the tour was canceled. we are home taking care of some family matters.  Sorry to the venues and everyone who was planning to see us on the remaining 5 dates.  We will be back on the road soon.  For now it is important to take care of what is considered to be the "glass ball"...family.   We will be playing at the bowery ballroom with the harlem shakes!

Due to a family emergency Motel Motel will have to cancel part of its tour from June 23 to June 30th.  

Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft...what a splendidly surreal ditty of seasonal surrender.  But seriously, Motel Motel- there's doins afoot.  This weekend is the Northside festival in Brooklyn, and we're playing it! Saturday, 4:45, Public Assembly, be There!

Then we're off on a tour through the eastern third of the country- because there's nothing better than spending the summer months in a smelly van. No, I kid, it's going to be awesome and if you live in the USA, you have no excuse for missing us play. (New Songs??...)

Also, we've recorded some performances for some blogs that should be surfacing in the near future, including daytrotter.com and our good friends at hoovesontheturf.com .  Look for them in your bookmarks soon.  This internet thing is really taking off beyond the band's wildest dreams and we're happy to be on it.
