swampglow vocalist Josef Motley has been busy finishing off his collaboration with american beatmaker / producer dCABB, which is finally available to play and download free from right here... the album features most of swampglow (yasson, abe normal, mr.ostritch AKA wilberforce malaise), along with AOSR, jamesphoney, jamesreindeer, tenchoo, torin glock & the owl taylor experience....



Another trans-atlantic collaboration between Motley & beatmaker Faux Poser was also recently released, with trumpet from Alice, and can again be obtained right here:



swampglow are currently considering working on new songs and twiddling their thumbs a bit. Bujuben has been moonlighting as a DJ at Udy's popular kiss my bass nights, playing some sort of dance music, or whatever the kids call it these days. Yasson as ever is beatboxing round the world, teaching workshops and dressing funny. Abe Normal is beginning work on a solo album and continuing to dye his hair silly colours. Wilberforce Malaise is currently soundtracking a montage of film clips for a future instrumental based show commissioned by the one Rusty Sheriff. Motley is beginning work on collaborations with portsmouth based electronica act LIGHTS & texas based weirdo Evil Steve, inbetween working furiously on the first proper album-based episode of the Tortoiseshell Male story.

swampglow may have almost disintegrated on their feet but our last gasp is a good one nonetheless. featuring the songs from our ill-fated showcase 2007 gigs, mostly a collection of reworks and remixes of older, pre-band material, however these songs bear barely any resemblance to the scrappy lo-fi efforts of swampglow's first two albums, and are instead fully polished walls of noise that I personally am pretty proud to have appeared on. you can download the whole thing free via the link in the player below:

please help Yasson out by employing him and his beatboxing workshop based expertise anywhere you feel beatboxing may go down well with "the kids". weddings, hospitals, schools, birthdays, bar mitzvahs.... all i'm sure will be considered, and anything to stop him getting bored enough to do this again!
