What up family, fans, friends!?! It’s December and as they say, it’s the season for giving. So I would like to give you all a gift! My first and unreleased full album titled Love’s Pain. Yeah, I know some may say, “I’ve already purchased Love’s Pain” and if so, thanks but this is the FULL 13 song project before I cut it down to a five song EP.

So here’s the deal…I will be posting a few songs every week here on dae-lee.com for you to listen to and download for FREE.  By Christmas eve you will have all the tracks to make the project complete as a exclusive gift from me, Dae-Lee.

Aight my people, lets try to show someone who may be hard to love some love this Christmas season.
Peace, Godbless

I don't know about yours but mine is Crazy GREAT!

Over the weekend my lady friend and I were introduced to Louie Giglio by a couple of our friends. He's a speaker on the "How Great is Our God Tour" and Yooo he broke it down and had me broke down by the end of his sermon. If Christianity is truly not a "Religion" but a "Relationship", I believe most of us would be shamed by the end of his sermon entitled "How Great is our God".

You can watch it on youtube for free. It's broken into 5 pieces.
I pray that the Lord would use this to draw us all closer to him!

This is actually a note from my Uncle O (got me started in my music) on Facebook but I had to co-sign this puppy... (believe, there's a lot more that could be said...)
"In the wake of such a historic occasion where a black man has become the leader of the most powerful nation in the world after being either denied the right to vote, taxed to vote, or met with physical violence on his way to the polls less than 200 years ago, I think we would all be wiser to temper our political criticisms of the man at least long enough for our country to reflect on how far we have come as a nation and hope we go much farther in much less time in the future."

We all know what HATE can do, lets see what a lil LOVE can do!
(even if you don't agree with someones policies)

We all know November 4th is quickly creeping up on us and if you haven't been blessed to vote early, the lines are getting looooooooooonger by the day. I've never been a dude that's crazy into politics and actually I may get a little heated when I feel others trying to impose their opinions on me (Lord Help Me!). As I get more seasoned in age I have been trying my bestest to pay more attention to ALL the politics that will be effecting me and my family in the future (thanks to friends that have been in my ear). When voting in the last 2 elections I've kind of had an "I can care less" attitude towards whoever believed they were the better candidate or could be the change that would change the change! LOL! Even now in this election I still kind of feel that way. Don't get me wrong WE NEED to examine the candidates as best we can and make the best educated vote which is not that great being that we don't REALLY know these people and what they will or can do. We tend to get caught up in what they SAY they will do for me as a low class, middle class, high class, black, white, male or female and take our eyes off what Christ Jesus wants for us as a people (and I know a lot of people don't care).

Ok...I say all that to say...

Man can't be trusted but we can trust GOD!
Man can't change ANYTHING but GOD IS change!

Knowing GOD is truly the one in control I can exercise the 3 R's (Rest, Relax, Rely) and not fret about what the days after the 4th of November holds.
I pray we would all experience that PEACE that passes all understanding as we elect our next president.

Psalm 27:1-6: Some word that helps me as I lean on The Christ.

If you haven't check out the song that goes with this blog, Check It Out then read. Trust it will make more sence that way.
Cool? Cool!

Hook:
If you love life
Then you'll be scorching in hell
Or if you hate life
That's like asking for bail
See I'm gon tell ya'll
It's black and white to me
Like a referee
So you make the call
(Repeat 2X)

Yeah, I know the hook may have thrown you off the first time around like what are these dudes talking about. Honestly when TWyse (check him out http://www.myspace.com/twyse) was recording it I was saying the same thing. HATE LIFE, man I like living and I hope my dude's not suicidal!!! LOL! Then when we recorded his verse (DING!) the light bulb came on and I could see where he was going. Once I started writing it didn't take me long to finish my verse because everyday we face situations where we must choose "This Life" or "Christ". Feel me? I believe TWyse did a great job painting the lyrical picture of hating the negative things in life like pain and sufferings. I think we all do a good job at that because no one in their right mind love's those things and ultimately those are not the things God originally intended for us. In a portion of my verse I speak about the "good" things in life (in the eyes of fallen man) like money, the opposite sex, success and these are the things that can really be a challenge when choosing between Life and Christ. Come on, we all wants to be successful, cool, wanted/needed, attractive, educated etc..., right? Those matters of this Life aren't in and of themselves wrong but if God were to ask us as Christ followers (as he does everyday)...CHOOSE who/what you will follow???

Would I/You choose Life or Christ?

I Hope and Pray that these Journal Entries will be more than a quick listen and read for you but that God would truly CHALLENGE who we are and better yet who we are NOT!

Be Encouraged!
Peace, Godbless

What up Famlay!?!

Check out a couple sentences on Faithfulness which is part of a larger study I am going through about Understand and Applying Faith. Then ask yourself the big question, Am I Egocentric?

"Faithfulness is the fruit that we give to God so He can change us—inside and out! It is the ability to take what Christ has done in us and, with loyalty and trust, be a blessing to others. Faithfulness goes against modern psychology and the thinking of society, as it requires us to move beyond ourselves. Psychology tells us to be egocentric, putting the "me" first, and rearranging the world to suit our needs, which creates self-destruction and broken relationships."
- Dr. Richard J. Krejcir

EGOCENTRIC!!!

  1. having or regarding the self or the individual as the center of all things: an egocentric philosophy that ignores social causes.
  2. having little or no regard for interests, beliefs, or attitudes other than one's own; self-centered: an egocentric person; egocentric demands upon the time and patience of others.

 Man…
I may be going out on a limb by saying that most of us would agree that an egocentric person is a VERY unattractive (and God don't like UGLY! LOL!) and almost sickening person but the funny/sad thing is we ALL have tendencies to act that way at times. I guess that's where the first sentence from Dr. Richard J. Krejcir comes into play
"Faithfulness is the fruit that we give to God so He can change us—inside and out! It is the ability to take what Christ has done in us and, with loyalty and trust, be a blessing to others."

Lord, please please please help us all to step outside of our Egocentric boxes and put your will and others before ourselves!
