October 17, 2009 - Saturday
Due to circumstances out of our control, the show tonight at The Electric Cowboy was canceled by the venue. We were not informed of this until 2 a.m. last night. We apologize to all of the fans who made the trip to the venue, and paid to get in, expecting to see us. We put up some signs at the front door, and at the register to announce that we had been pulled from the show. We don't know if they were tore down after we left the club.

Once again, we apologize. We live to play for our fans, and this was completely out of our control.

Cheers,
10K Flames

April 16, 2009 - Thursday
Since there will be 4 total bands on the Rehab show, we have set the date for the video shoot for Sunday, May 24th. It will be at The Electric Cowboy, in Johnson City. Doors should open at 2 p.m., with shooting scheduled to start around 3. It will be free to get in, but please sign up by sending in your information, either by replying to this blog, or e-mailing us through the myspace site. We are collecting names, and making a special e-mail list to keep everyone posted. You can also sign up at the front of the Electric Cowboy.
After the video shoot, we will also be playing a live set for the upcoming DVD, complete with all of our original songs.
So, tell everyone you know to sign up early. We will only be able to take the first 300 through the door.

Thanx, and look forward to it!

Current mood:  excited
We are shooting a music video for our single, 'Can't Get Enough,' from the upcoming CD. Currently, the plans are to shoot it when we open for Rehab on May 7th at The Electric Cowboy. But, if that day turns out to not work for the Video Company, then we are going to go in on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, where we have more of a controlled environment.

If we do it on another day, we will need 300 to 400 extras for the crowd shots. We plan on doing a lot of close ups on the crowd, so there will be many of you that will have significant shots in the video. So, we need some rabid, crazy fans for this one.....

If interested, shoot us a message with your name, number, and e-mail. We'll compile a special e-mail group to keep all posted about future developments on this. We are really excited about the video. The company shooting it won Videomaker Magazine's 2007 Music Video of The Year.

Get on board. This is going to be fun........

February 12, 2009 - Thursday

Current mood:  high

We just completed a new song, "Rhythms Of Pain," that is up on our jukebox. The recording is from our 2 hour stint on 94.3, The X, out of Knoxville, TN. Oz, the dj who does the Local X, had us down there, and we debuted the song for the first time on the air. So, the quality of the recording isn't exactly up there with the other songs, but we really dig it, and wanted to put it up for you guys to check it out. We have worked up the song as a "full-band" version, but will probably record a acoustic version of it, as well, just to have.
The lyrics for the song, for the most part, have been around for over ten years. But there had never been any music written for it. But sitting at the computer one night, the melody was in my head, and for something that was never written, but had stuck with me for that long, it deserved to be completed. The version here is the first time is was ever played, so it is a little rough, but it will be a staple of our future shows.

Check it out, I'm sure a lot of you can relate to the lyrics.......

Later,
Brad/10K

September 15, 2008 - Monday

Current mood:  satisfied

We just got finished with majority of the tracking for "American Drama." We only have a few vocal trax, some percussion, and a few things here and there. After that, mixing and mastering are up, with an October release date in sight. Most likely, we will attempt to release it on Halloween night. Seems fitting.

We are extremely satisfied with what we have in the bag. Gene Hughes and Mike Stephenson at Sonic Design done an incredible job, and it is turning out better than we expected. This will definiately be an album you pop in at a party, or driving down the road on your way out on a night on the town. It's going to pump you up until you pass out. Everything sounds huge, over the top, and exactly what you'd expect from 10K.

So get ready, we're going to unleash a monster very soon.......

August 6, 2008 - Wednesday
Just decided to post a blog on the site. Everyone's been e-mailing and asking what's going on with the band. So, here is a little update, to bring everyone on board the crazy train that is 10K.
First off, we want to thank everyone for the support at the shows during the Spring/Summer 2008 tour. It was a crazy, amazing ride, and not without it's share of casualties. We lost a lot of good men out there, along with most of our sanity. But, it's time to regroup the troops, and lay out some fresh battle plans for the CD and fall tour.
As some of you know, the original drummer, Aron Nelms, is back with us. We're estatic to have him back in the fold, as we get ready to hit the studio to record the upcoming CD, "American Drama." We are currently fine-tuning the songs, getting them the way we  wanted them. We are also re-vamping the whole set list, adding a lot of new tunes.
Speaking of the new CD, we have 6 songs picked for "American Drama," and can not wait until we can put it in your grubby lil' hands. Here are the tracks we decided on:
1. Fuck With You
2. Can't Get Enough
3. Yesterday
4. Bottom Of The Barrel
5. Unfaithful
6. Burn

and there will most likely be a ghost track at the end, an acoustic song penned by Rusty, titled: Thanks For Nothing.

We'll keep you posted on future shows, we have a couple of good ones in the works as we speak.
