Pearl Diver, presented by Lemongrass (compilation)
The
new "Pearl Diver" continues with compiling the biggest and most shiny
pearls of lounge music on CD. This time Lemongrass dived into the clear
blue sea to pick up an outstanding collection of pearls. Lemongrass
alias Roland Voss educated himself in music in three decades. After
playing drums in rock bands, funk groups and jazz ensembles during the
seventies he explored the possibilities of electronic instruments in
the eighties. Before signing at Mole Listening Pearls in 1999 for his
first album Lumiere Obscure he went his way through diverse musical
styles like Drum'n'Bass, Lounge, Jazz, Trip Hop, Jungle, Hip Hop and
Ambient to figure out where he could find his place in the electronic
music landscape and released his very first album "Drumatic Universe"
on Incoming!. Until now he has released more than ten Lemongrass albums
on Mole Listening Pearls and made his timeless soundart to an
institution in lounge music. In 2008 he summarized the best tracks of
the late Lemongrass albums ("Fleure Solaire", "Ikabana", "Filmotheque",
"Pour L'Amour") to a best-of-album called "Beach Affairs". But now it
is time to have a closer look the collection of "Pearl Diver": Starting
with Kevin Yost's breezy "Otherside Of The World Remix" of his own
track "Habla Mi Corazón" the collection takes off with some jazzy und
funky house rhythms in the tracks of Dr. Girlfriend and Tafubar. Then a
moody and smoky phase of jazz-infected downbeat tracks take place. Miss
Kay Dee, I Am Sam, Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, Northbound, Banda Dalai Lam
and the Weathertunes create an erotic atmosphere with dirty basslines
and beautiful voices. Now a phase of very deep ambient tracks begins
with lifting up the emotions with the tracks of Eskadet, Rencause and
nor elle. Lemongrass finishes this with his Deep House Mix of "Lose
You" by JetTricks feat. Ade Funk & Faye Houston. Finally the
compilation leads out with very warm downbeats of iëlo, Karen Gibson
Roc, Faro, Five Seasons and arrives at the highlight of the record:
Audio Lotion's "Arabesque" where melancholic spanish guitars are
expressing the hope and romance of the lonesome. With this beautiful
collection of laid-back tracks Lemongrass expresses the wishfulness to
the warm months and invites his audience, to open up the mind to the

Aubiobiography


After 2.5 years working on his new studio album, Paul T has got signed to Warner
Music. The album-AUDIOBIOGRAPHY is a double disc set with one disc
focusing on a more dance vibe and the other disc on a more downtempo
vibe.

This album is a special collaborations with some
friends from around the world-Scott Tibbs(L.A), Celcius 7(San
Francisco),Madison Park(Atlanta),Iëlo(Paris), The New Law(Seattle),
Christine Sham(Singapore), Tweeky(Sweden) and GXR(UK)

COOL MILLION REMIXED
Cool Million... Moulton mixes


One of last year's best modern soul albums was Cool Million's Going Out
Tonight'. The Expansion release was critically acclaimed, and, more
importantly, its unashamed retro beats found huge favour in the
country's modern soul rooms.
The new mixes will be available from January 29th as a double A side
vinyl maxi single… the label is Sweden's Deep Play. And to prove that
FRANK and ROB can do contemporary soul too, another of the album's cuts
– 'Everything Ain't Everything' - gets a fresh tweak from French chill
out maestro Iëlo. He comes up with a tasty 'Nu Soul Remix' on the PACE
featured song, and the result is an ultra-cool urban cut.
 
That one will only be available as a download and on the forthcoming Japan release on Columbia Records (JP).

Finally it's here Another Yesterday the New Album of Madison Park !

With the recent attention from their track placement on the wildly successful, "SEX AND THE CITY" Soundtrack, Madison Park's new album comes out at just the right time.
