Synthetic Division will be playing again on Saturday, July 11 at Outback.  It's going to be with Silent Muse, and the evening is going to start at 8 and end at midnight.  The all-ages show is an HIV/AIDS benefit, and MAC artists will be on hand to provide make-up touch-ups... not a bad deal!

As most of you know I've been HIV positive for most of my life.  So this is a special show, an opportunity to raise some money for a good cause (the AIDSWalk Washington DC, where HIV statistics have been sobering as of late) and have a great time.

Hope you can make it!  In the meantime, check out the new Synthetic Division website: http://www.synthetic-division.com

Yup, if Beyonce can do it, so can I.  From now on, in reference to Synthetic Division, please do not call me Shawn Decker anymore.  No, as I embark on a new batch of Synthetic Division tunes, I must change things up.  Find new inspiration in a body that is 30-plus years old isn't easy.

But Shawn Fierce?  Mark it: he was born today.  And he is born of the same musical DNA that helped create the Synthetic Division you know and love.

Stay tuned, things are about to get... fierce.

Shawn...

Fierce

Be sure to tune in to Subculture Shock on WNRN tonight (91.9), starting at 10 pm. They are doing their fundraiser, and have been spinning Synthetic Division tunes for ever. So I say support them, since they support me!

If you call in and donate when I'm there, you can win a copy of My Pet Virus, my memoir. Or a Synthetic Division t-shirt, or CD... I'll be on the second hour.

Come out and see Synthetic Division opening for Bella Morte, who will be having their CD release party this Saturday, Oct 4, at Outback. If you tune in to WNRN tonight, you MAY be able to win a copy of their latest CD...

Here's what DJ Patrick Allen says: "So how do you get this stuff? Listen to WNRN (91.9 Charlottesville, 88.1 Staunton/Waynesboro, 103.1 Richmond, 95.1 Harrisonburg, 95.3 Lexington, 94.7 Lovingstong, and Wnrn.org everywhere) tonight from 10pm - Midnight EST. Give us a call: (434) 979-0919, TOLL FREE 1-877-967-6762, or *NRN on your Ntelos wireless phone and make your plege! You can also pledge online at wnrn.org, but be sure to mark your pledge as being a SubShock one in the comments section, or you won't get any of these awesome premiums.Remember, most importantly, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY TONIGHT. Make you pledge, secure your stuff, and then pay when you can and get your premiums once you've paid! Your contribution will keep the music you love on the air for another 6 months! Just got the news that Girlfriend in a Coma broke up and won't be playing the Gravity Lounge show on September 6.  I guess you could say they took the tribute a bit too far.

Would be awesome if an Electronic cover band emerged from the ashes of Girlfriend to play the Gravity Show, but I don't think that will happen.  As far as I know, the show is still on!  Stay tuned for late-breaking details.
