"Shark finning" is when fishermen cut off the fins of the shark and throw the live animal back into the ocean in order to save space on the boat. The shark drowns or bleeds to death on the ocean floor. Shark fins can sell for over $300 per pound due to the demand for shark fin soup, an Asian "delicacy".
Some species of shark populations have plumetted by 99% in the last 20 years and are in danger of becoming extinct, due mainly to the practice of finning.

HERE ARE 8 SIMPLE WAYS TO HELP STOP SHARK FINNING:

1. Don't eat shark fin soup! Don't eat in restaurants that serve it until they stop.

2. Support organisations that are fighting to save marine wildlife such as Sea Shepherd and Wild Aid.

The SPCA is turning out to be an absolutely worthless organization. I have a neighbor who has been a hoarder for years. I never liked the fact that she kept animals locked in cages all the time, but they were fed and cared for. Her income dropped big time because her husband died a year ago. Now the animals are starving, and uncared for. The dog and cats are running and breeding like rabbits. She has about 400 cats, 300 dogs, at least 50 goats, about 25 horses, plus sheep, rabbits, and who knows what else. She had ducks, geese, and chickens, but her dogs have eaten all of them. The dogs are running down and killing deer. The are bothering my horses and dogs. They killed one of my barn cats. One of the starving horses died last week.

What has this got to do with the SPCA? They were called by several people, including power line workers. They wanted pictures. I took pics from the road of the horses, and her collasped barn. They said that would be enough. Now they want me to go on her property and take pics. They won't take the word of the people who have seen this. They claim the pics of starved horses aren't enough to go in. If they went in they'd see for themselves the horrible conditions. This woman has one other neighbor than me. She is crazy. I've told them this. She has guns, and signs everywhere about shooting trespassers. She has vandalized other people's property and threatened others with guns. I can't take the chance that she knows who it is. I wouldn't put it past her blowing away my family when I was gone. Or, the neighbors if she thought they did it.
I can't believe the SPCA would rather let theses animals die! But they are! Where does all the money sent to them go? I won't send them any more!

Local law knows this woman, so they won't help. I fact they have tipped her off in the past. The local humane society won't help, they keep giving her more animals. They are adding to the problem! No one cares! and I'm getting pissed. Anyone who can help me light a fire under the SPCA or anyone else that can help please contact me!!!!
