Lo Friends!

We've been asked by the folks at Fruits de Mer Records to send some demos for the possibility of being included on a Phased Psychedelic Covers Compilation to be released on colored vinyl. How marvelous! I've been granted my request of Nazz/Monkees songs to choose from and we're very looking forward to putting our noses back to the grindstone after the Holy daze wears off.

Wishing you all Good Health and Happiness!
2010.........tic...tic...tic

Peace.

Lo!

We have had a tremendous response to our psychedelic version of 'The Little Drummer'. It has garnered airplay on a few stations already, FM and streaming, including Chicago's local 93 WXRT. We have been working our snaky fingers to the bone trying to finish up another track....an original Christmas track....for your pleasure and hope to have it wrapped up and posted by tomorrow evening. Look for 'Wonderful Red Stockings'.

Happy Holy Days to ALL.

Lo friends!

We finally, after many illnesses and wounds, put the studio back together and have started recording! What fun it is! The initial tracks sound fantastic and I can't wait to post the finished product. Slated to be recorded are songs entitled:

All Of Her Seasick Parties
Jupiter
Complicated Mind
So She Said
Syn
Silly Girl
Undertow
The Saints And Miracles

Plus more.

I've been in contact with our old friend Eric Remschneider, who played cello on Belladonna Marmalade, and The Luck of Eden Hall is looking forward to some live shows with him. Mark's 'Babylon Sonic' book and music project is nearly complete and I recently returned from Nashville where I started recording tracks for a side project with my long time friend Dean Madonia. Seems that this Holy Day season will be a musical one!

I hope your Holiday Season is musical as well!

Peace.

Lo Friends!

Beat Kitchen was .....surreal. As I announced at the show, I left my home that evening with a fever of 101. It was nice to let my fingers do the talking when my voice finally gave out. Mark and Joe swooned superbly. Thanks again to all who attended. It made giving myself pneumonia worth while.(???)

Some video should be posted soon.

Have a fantastic day!

Lo friends!

Thank you all for attending our performance at The International Pop Overthrow Festival. It was truly a gas! Time stood still.......for a moment. Paul Chabala, a long time friend and fan, who recorded one of The Luck of Eden Hall's first studio projects, right after finishing up one of the first Smashing Pumpkin's sessions (My Dahlia), was there and it was so good to catch up with him. Another highlight of the night was listening to 'The Wall Clocks' from Detroit play!

Thirty hours later we honored National Record Store Day with an in-store performance at Vintage Vinyl, one of the most fantastic record stores you'll ever dream of! A marvelous ritual. I purged many demons. Movie cameras, journalists, photographers. Thank you so much for all who attended! Another highlight of the day was looking out into the audience into Billy Corgan's eyes. It was great to catch up with him after the show as well!

The fire has been lit. The clock is starting to wake up.

The Luck Of Eden Hall. Just the name of the band begs you to
investigate further (google it and find out more about it's origin), add to
that an album calling itself 'When The Clock Starts To Wake Up We Go To Sleep'
and everything starts to become unclear.....fuzzy....and psychedelic. This
latest album follows on from 2002's 'Subterrene' which heralded a return to the
fray for the band after a ten year silence.
....

 ....

The band's take on the psyche experience draws on classic
sounds mixed with the work of latterday bands mining the same rich seam to
sometimes give you a dense rich tapestry of trance like songs that both drive
and drift along at the same time, like  'She's Using All The Colours' and
'Sister Strange And The Shuffled Furry Things' and then a more straightforward,
but gentler take on acid rock with classic psyche overtones like 'All Else
Shall,Be Added Unto You' and 'Mary Ann's Dressed In Peace' is also evident.
There are also some darker musings on 'A Child In A Mine' and a song like 'Old
Man Realize' almost steps outside of the genre completely.
....

 ....

The Luck Of Eden Hall offer an interesting and absorbing
journey into their psychedelic world. They arrange and layer some songs
carefully, but also make a point of using simpler musical motifs elsewhere so
that the sonic experience is varied and not ever tiresome for the listener.
'When The Clock Starts To Wake Up We Go To Sleep' is a successful mixture of
old and new psychedelia very capably written, arranged and played, with careful
production and crystal clear recording adding to a very satisfying listening
experience.

The Luck Of Eden Hall – When The
Clock Starts To Wake Up We Go To Sleep

Myopic Records (2009)

(13 Stücke, 45:10
Minuten Spielzeit)

Da flatterte mir vor
ein paar Tagen eine CD von der aus Chicago stammenden Band The Luck Of Eden
Hall auf den Tisch.

Die CD trägt den ungewöhnlichen Titel „When The Clock Starts To Wake Up We
Go To Sleep”.
Stützpfeiler dieser Band sind Gitarrist Greg Curvey und Bassist Mark
Lofgren.

Jane’s Addiction, Porcupine Tree, Screaming Trees, Pink Floyd, Hendrix
Experience vergleichen. Das machte mich schon mal neugierig.

„All Else Shall Be Added Unto You“ lautet

The Luck Of Eden Hall ist mit ihrem neuen

I recently finished a 7 second fanfare for the kids cooking show 'Spatulatta'. The website has won some prestigious awards and it's a great way to introduce your children to cooking!

Check it out.
