Hey guys,
Nate here. I'm moving across the country and I won't be able to take my
rig with me. Both brandon and I had the same rig, a crate blue voodoo
that followed us to all our shows. I'm being forced to sell mine so I
can survive financially in Orlando. It's on craigslist:
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/msg/1482737853.html
Please give me a call or text me asap. Thanks again. Much love.
-Nate

It is a roughly a year after I (Nate) and the rest of the band got together for our photo shoot to promote our Holiday 08' Single "Christmas Could Be Better". Days later we released that song to you free online. As our pictures were being taken, we laughed together (mainly at Dan as he lay on the floor embodying the ever-so-cliche glamour shot pose of the 90's). That photo shoot was one of thousands of similar moments we had together enjoying this make shift band that had some how come together and been blessed with modest success. But ultimately this would be the last page in the Streets of Rage story. With careers and life moving at the radical speed that it does, it's amazing to look back and see how lucky we were to have crossed paths for those 2 years. Now I speak for myself and hopefully the others when saying Streets of Rage was more then just a band for us. It was truly a family. I write this final blog entry to thank you, our fans, for the support over the years and for being apart of our SOR family. Just a few shout outs to some of the folks that were really there for us: Thanks to Tara (for starting our first SOR street team), the kids over in Australia for making us feel like champs with the Australian SOR Street Team, Vanessa and gang (especially for those brownies and pizza). Thanks to that trashy rehearsal studio in Reseda we used to practice at for hours. Tim Metro (Mr. White), Tim Mito you guys made us. And of course to everyone else out there who came to our shows and voted us on to Warped Tour in 08'.
It was a blast. We miss you all. And keep in touch. Thumbs up to zippers down dammit. ;)

Current mood: busy
Hey Ragers,It's been a while so I thought it best to update you on what's happening with all of us. First off, Streets of Rage is NOT over. We are still very much a band. But we beg you to understand that we are in fact human. Despite our massive commercial success, big parties, TV specials, and visits with royalty we lead very normal lives as well. In fact it has been this way since day one, but of course our hunger for the music and for our WONDERFUL fans has allowed us to play quite a few shows. That is why we've gotten to a point where we feel a little vacation is needed. Now this isn't just some sit back and relax on a beach sort of vacation! No sir. We're all keepin busy. Here's a little update on each of us:Addy- Continuing to follow his artistic passion as a graphic artist Addison is working with a high profile design firm in Hollywood. For more on Addison and to see a little of his work check out http://www.kqeda.com for his portfolio. Addy also released an AMAZING solo album in August under the name of "The Ay Cad". You can check out "The Ay Cad" at http://www.myspace.com/theaycad .Dustin- Another lover of art, Dustin continues to paint custom vans shoes as well as other pieces of art under the name of 8crayons. He also keeps busy as an artist of the "drinks" at a local Moorepark coffee shop that he manages. Dan- Dan keeps busy recording new artists and helping them mold their sounds while he continues to grow and build his portfolio as a producer. From rap to rock Dan is one talented dude!Brandon- As head producer of Red Van Pictures Brandon continues to pursue his passion for the music industry along side director Shane Drake. Brandon's worked with a wide variety of artists such as Panic at the Disco, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Forever the Sickest Kids, Flo-Rida, Daphne Loves Derby, Say Anything, The Almost, and others. He's even sportin' a MTV Video Music Award for producing Panic at the Disco's 2006 Video of the Year. To focus on his work full time Brandon has made the decision to bid farewell to SOR. Though Brandon may no longer be joining the rest of SOR on stage he remains close friends of the band. You can keep up with Brandon at his website http://www.brandonbonfiglio.com or at his myspace.Me (Nate)- As for me... well I've had my hands full with two jobs. I work at both a bank and, of course, the place that I first met my bandmates, Disneyland. Between my graveyard shifts at the Disneyland Hotel and my weekday shifts at the bank I've been able to squeeze some time in to work on my solo project July Rewind. With Dan producing the tracks are exceeding my expectations and I hope to share more of them with you soon. You can check out a few old demos and a NEW song called "Close Your Eyes (Happy Birthday)" at http://www.myspace.com/julyrewind . I hope to release the album on itunes in early 2009 so stay tuned. In conclusion, Streets of Rage does in fact have new material. Enough for a new album in fact. We are working hard on these new songs to make sure they make the best possible album to follow up to our EP. And of course what would we be without all of YOU? Thank you sooo much for standing by us and coming to our shows. We all look forward to playing for you again soon.
WE LOVE YOU!!!!! I know every band says this, but seriously our fans are the best. Whether it be the brownies at shows, the clothes you throw on stage during "Thumbs up", the after show dance parties, or the countless myspace convos, you guys seriously are the best! SO THANK YOU!!!
See you real soon!

Big thanks to Cristal over at Big Smile Magazine for this review of our July 5th HEADLINING show with Brave Citizens at the Glasshouse in Pomona, CA. Check it. If you have pictures or videos from the show, this would be a GREAT place to post em. :)
"On Saturday July 5th, up and coming Indie Rockers, Brave Citizens, took stage at the Pomona, CA venue, The Glass House, one of their stops on their first summer tour up and down the West Coast. Just releasing their debut EP, "Revolutions", available on Itunes, Brave Citizens hit the stage with popular songs such as, "The Same Way" and "How Much Longer". Even though the guys started off with a little feed back from their equipment, they came back with great sound and an incredible line up for the entire crowd to enjoy. Headlining this great show this night were love-able Pop/Electro stars, Streets Of Rage, who I previously had an interview with earlier this year (check it out!). This was a big night for the guys of Streets Of Rage since it was their very first headlining show with a great group of openers backing them up with full support. One thing that I loved was during "half time", front man Addison Kowalski and guitarist Nate Huckabone, performed an exercise segment showing off their new merchandise which included a blue headband sported by Nate. This is the first time in several months that I had seen Streets Of Rage perform live and I must say they've come together, are much more professional this time around and this had to be their best show as of yet. Definitely a thumbs up to Streets Of Rage"CLICK THE LINK ABOVE TO GO TO BIG SMILE MAGAZINE's SITE AND RATE THE SHOW!!!! :) <3 SOR

Lets Flip a Coin
Here we go now. Our bodies touching, but you're fighting it, and you know that I know you're into me. Stop fighting it. The sweat running off my palms has me kicking at the gravel. You give me butterflies, and it's me you're impressing. It's your heartbeat I want to dance to, and it's you're song that has me singing to you. My heart is racing. Five inches from your lips, but now you're backing up so quickly. I better recover. This is how I always act, and I know you know me and when we're close it's never too close. Solution; Are you the gambling type? Lets flip a coin; heads we'll be together and tails we'll flip again.
Knot Together December all over. Maybe you're the one to make this winter better. It's the foggy streets that have me running back to safety. But then this feeling of new company has me leaping for your smile. I'm optimistic, but it's the fact that I'm realistic. Just picture; tie our trunks and knot together. I picture our pictures, we're close together. Allow me to describe this situation that I'm hunting. I'm simply eager for feeling content. Simply over feeling empty. Say that this is it. That we'll never look farther than each other from here on out. Our noses now they collide. This is everything I've wanted. We're weightless. We're so in our own world. So tell me why we're lost and not together. You're making this so worth it.
Thumbs Up Hall passes and at first glance, emergency personal break. Blinded by greeting signs, she locks the doors; squeezes me against her hips. We're touching behind locked doors. I never thought she could be so sexy. Thumbs up to zippers down. I want to see your clothes on the floor. I never wanted to say that I wanted this. Now we can hear them passing. I find us breathing heavier, heavier, and heavier. You make love look so easy. She's got ways that will make you change. She's got a voice that will make you listen. She has the scent that an angel should. She's got me in her.
I Hope This Wins Her Over Shaking hands had never been so intense. Our fingers meeting, missing puzzle pieces uniting. But I remember feeling your soft hands blanketing mine. I wouldn't waste our time. Yeah, I'll say it. I think about how swell it would be to say you're my girlfriend. Your hair-tie wraps around my wrist like I want you snug against my hips. Waking up had never been so perfect. Will you remember my soft lips blanketing your neck. You give me a feeling that I want everyday. I'm trying to gather the cutest words that I could say to ask if you will be my girlfriend. Let us sing I'm your boyfriend. We'll let her know.
Me to Offer
I wish that I could talk the way that they talk or give you those looks that have you begging for more. I'm sorry, but I have me to offer and it's all that I got. I'm not part of the in crowd. I don't have tight jeans or band shirts. I'm just the boy who sits next to you on the bus. We trade glances. It's so easy to play up a conversation, but you will always sit over there. Without a number on your back you're nothing, but a six foot elitist who has nothing new to say. You're nothing.
For Every Button There's a Home
Don't listen to what they say. They're jealous, but it's ok. It'll be me you wake next to each day, and when they're shaking their heads just turn away. You're the reason I wake up. They're so jealous.
