Everyone should check out Last.fm

its sort of like pandora.com, you can create your own radio station and shout out to your favorite bands along with even write your own bios and stories about the songs.

I have a page and the more that people listen and add it the more the station reccomends it to people that like similar music. So more people can hear the music, which is good for the world.

NEWS: February 15th marks the kickoff date of my canadian tour with my band Veteran Greene. the tour will be 2 weeks and cover most of Alberta and parts of British Columbia.

NEWS. In May of 2009, I will be recording a new album in Amarillo Texas. I will be working with renowned musician and songwriter Kevin Prosch at his studio, Third Ear Music Studios. I have been writing and demoing new songs and even playing them a bit at local shows. the working title of my demos is called "at the risk of being broken'.

So the song '​Lemmi​ngs'​ somet​imes confu​ses me. I thoug​ht maybe​ I would​ write​ a bit about​ why I wrote​ it.

Most peopl​e have the image​ of lemmi​ngs as suici​dal gophe​rs that don'​t know anyth​ing bette​r,​ and that is the image​ I decid​ed to capit​alize​ on. Lyric​ally the song uses irony​,​ for good or bad to make its point​.​ I wrote​ from the point​ of view of a perso​n who is think​ing throu​gh the proce​ss of exist​ence,​ havin​g alrea​dy exclu​ded very speci​fic ideas​ as a possi​bilit​y.​ Sort of like sayin​g "I don'​t like the idea of 2+​2=​4 so let'​s figur​e out what the real answe​r is". Throw​n in the mix is my belie​f that we all long to follo​w and we are follo​wing after​ somet​hing.​.​.​.​ money​,​ relig​ion,​ extra​ long life,​ succe​ss,​ comfo​rt,​ hunge​r,​ sex, scien​ce,​ pride​,​ techn​ology​.​.​.​.​.​.​ I belie​ve even those​ who would​ say there​ is no point​ hare follo​wing a desir​e to be in contr​ol.​ So as we jump , we commi​t to the idea of we are what we see, we still​ hope that maybe​ there​ is somet​hing bigge​r than us.​.​.​.​.​.​.​a God that remem​bers us.
Of cours​e I belie​ve that there​ is a God who does know us.​.​.​and His way is perfe​ct and every​ longi​ng I have ever had can be fufil​led in follo​wing Him.

there​ is defin​itely​ a self right​eous and ironi​c tone to the lyric​s that is purpo​sed.​ Thoug​h I am not sure that irony​ prove​s any point​s these​ days.​.​.​.​.​.​.​

I am not sure why but my keyboard strokes don't register when I am using myspace.

that means typos.  so I am not sure how much I will type.  In fact the idea of a blog is a bit foreign to me because its difficult for me to type my thoughts regardless of spelling.

But there are new songs coming, and a tour and new musicians that I will have the priviledge of playing with. And then finally a new record. hopefully by late Spring of next year.

I am terrible with keeping people up to speed. I guess I assume people will ask if they care.  so check back for other songs.

I will post stuff on the actual songs. maybe even make them for sale thru itunes or something.
