So I saw Mike Birbiglia the other day and as exspected, he was great. I'm a big fan of Birbiglia and it was great to not only see him live, but do jokes I had never seen.

Then the trouble started. While Mike Birbiglia was saying something about Bush (kinda) some one screamed out, "DIE!"What he was saying got lost in the drunken mumble, but DIE was a part of it. Mike trying to recover trys to say that not supporting the Prez, is not the same as not supporting the troups, but before he could get this out, the drunk yelled, "I'm a pearatrouper, you just disrespected all of us." This lead to an argument in the crowd that ended with, "How many attacks has thier been since 9/11?" and everyone moaning.

At one point it seemed like Mike Birbiglia was going to walk off and come back when things had calmed down, but he hung in there, and some how recoved. What really shocked me is that it acctually made his act better. Mike Birbiglia really is one of the best around.

And if you want to know why I keep writing his full name, it's because everytime his name is writen on the internet, google sends him an message. So he is reading this right now, so if you don't mind...

HOLY CRAP AN UPDATE.

It's been a while since I have been on but I've been doing a bunch of stuff. Here is a quick recap.

1. I am in the finals of the New Jersey Comedy Festival. If you want to see me it is at Monmouth University at 1:30. Me and my CSWcomics partner in crime will be compeating for $1000, a comedy scholarship and a trip for 2 to Mexico for spring brake. Cheer for me damn it! If you don't come for me come for the host TJ Del Reno, by far the funniest person I've ever met in person.

2. I am also compeating in the funniest college student compatition at William Patterson on the 30th of November. Me and my team of killers will fight to be the funniest school in the state and also go for the top prize, a chance to preform at Gothem comedy club in NYC.

3. I don't just do comedy compatitions I win them! I won 200 best buy bucks at Stockton's Last Comic Surviving. Sure there was only 2 people compeating, but I still won damn it!

4. CSWcomics.com has not been updating as much as I'd like, but I am working on it damn it. Go there and enjoy.

I have not updated my blog this week due to the Chris Benoit story. I understand that I don't know the guy, and he never knew me. I also understand that my ideas on how to handle such a matter mean nothing. Yet I present them anyway because I believe that hey will help make dealing with this event easier.

First Here are some flat facts that need to be understood:

1. Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and his son Dan are dead. It is believed that Chris killed his wife on friday, his son on Sat, and himself on Sun.

2. Steroids and other drugs were found on the scene.

3. Track marks were found on Dan's body. This is because he had a rare disorder that causes strage growths. (Long jaw, swollen balls etc.) Please understand that it is not fair to assume that Chris injected his son wrongfully.

4. On Monday Night Raw that night a 3 hour tribute show took place. Please understand:
     -The tribute was created BEFORE the details of how the death happened were known the the WWE.
     -The show was planned to be 3 hours A WEEK BEFORE Benoit was found dead. It was not changed to a 3 hour show for the tribute.
     -Once Vince learned the details he publicly apologized on Tusday's WWE show ECW.
     - The trubite was pulled so it would not be seen internationally.
     -The tribute was for 3 people, not just one.


5. Chris Benoit was a great wrestler with many fans. One of witch is currently writing this.

Now to make this easier I will talk address diffrent groups of people. 1st to the world of non-wrestling fans:

Wrestling is unlike any other form of entertainment. The WWE puts on 3 brand new shows a week airing Monday Tusday and Friday. At least once a month a fourth show is aired on pay-per-view on Sunday. There is also no off season. There are no reruns. It is always moving and growing. So while we don't know these people, we are attached to these people. We have watched them work thier asses off, watched them get hurt, watched them grow and become better performers, watched thier lows and highs. Yes this is entertainment. Yes it is scripted, but a true fan can see when a person will grow into a champ. Not because he is the greatest fighter, but because they are willing too work to  become what we the people want to see.

In the case of Chris Benoit, I have been watching Chris wrestle, every week for 12 years. I am 21 years old. More of my life has had Benoit in it then without him. I watched him grow. I have cheered him. I have booed him. Most of all I always respected him, because he was one of those guys you could tell loved wrestling and loved the fans. We the fans were as big a part in his life as he was in ours.

Then this happens. To a wrestling fan this is heartbraking. This is a guy a grew-up with, and I can't believe he could do this.

Now don't get me wrong. I hate what he did. What he did is unforgivable, but just because of that us wrestling fans will not distroy our memories. If we want to remember him as the great wrestler he was, please let us. It is not like we don't know what he did, it just hurts to much to think that one of our favorite wrestlers and that killer are the same person. Believe it or not there are people who remember OJ Simpson as a great football player. Let us Remember Benoit as a great wrestler. It is not our way of forgiving him, justifing what he did, or saying that it was okay. It is our way of morning.

Look at it this way, and I am sorry for putting this so harshly, but think of a person you love, like your mom, or wife. Now out of the blue she kill 2 people and herself. Would you not morn her? Sure you would hate what she did, but that dosn't mean you forget all the good things she did for you, the reasons you loved her. So I understand you all have your own takes on the things that have happened, and you can voice them if you want. If you hate Benoit for what he did go ahead and yell it out, but remember that everyone has some one who loves them. Let us morn the loss, as we feel we need to.

This brings me to the MEDIA:

I understand this is a huge story, and you want the inside details. You want to be the 1st to get the big scoop, but again remember that WWE is diffrent from any other company. A co-worker didn't did. A friend died, and to some a brother. We all want to know what happened, but please to remember that the people you will talk to are in morning. Respect them. The Vince you all know is a hard ass bastard. I'll say it, but know that he did lose a friend in Chris Benoit, and now he must stand infront of the wrestlers, his friends, his family and watch them morn and ask him what to do now. I know that Vince is a target. I know that if you get him to flip out it means higher ratings, but show some class. There is no reason to point the finger right in his face right now. I'll be realistic. Steroids are all over wrestling. So are pain killers. This may have something to do with why this event happened. I'll even say that Vince my not be doing everything in his power to shot it. In turn I ask you the media to admit that you don't know shit about wrestling and are trying to make the best story without knowing everything.

I point the finger 1st at the Today show. That show made me sick. Vince was actually asked. "Do you think the WWE has a part in creating monsters?" WHAT! How many other wrestler/murders are there? Also during the interview they talked about a list of 60 some wrestlers that died under the age of 40. They made mention of Eddie, Mr. Prefect and the British Bulldog, and there lied the mistake. When showing the details of the Bulldog's death a picture of Owen Hart was shown. Again please, get your facts together.

Owen brings up another point. The list of dead wrestlers that was talked about on the Today show included Owen Hart and Yokozuna.  The list was ment to show that drugs mucst be making these people die. For those who don't know Owen Hart fell to his death and Yokozuna had a heart attack because he was over 700 pounds. Nothing to do with drugs. Please, you are the news, give us true facts.

Many are also pointing a finger at Vince for having a tribute show for a kill. Please don't make me say it again. HE DIDN'T KNOW THE DETAILS. Also think of the backlash from us fans if Benoit died and Vince decided to carry the show on as if nothing happened. A tribute show will always have been the right choice if I had be in the same spot, without the power of forsight. Again, do not degrade us for morning.

Next to the fans:
This sucks, huh? What should we do. Well I don't think we are all going to agree so here is my plan. Talk to each other. If it hurts let it hurt, but if you go to a show, put it in the back of your mind. Weather you want to go to a show with a RIP Benoit sign or and Burn in Hell Benoit sign, just don't. Please think of the wrestlers. Think of the other fans. When we are thier we are trying to get over it. Don't remind us in anyway. It's just better this way.

To the Wrestlers:
I'm sorry. I am really hurt by this event, but I know that I am not in nearly as much pain as you are in. So here is what I ask. 1st off as I asked the fans, please don't talk about it. We remember when Eddie died and it was used for a story line. Please don't. Simply, if you say something pro or con Benoit, we will not know how to react. You will not get the pop you think you will, so don't.

Also remember, we do care about you guys. Yes some of us see you as God, Heros and huge stars and will not act the way we should around you. We know that you need your space sometimes, and we don't give it to you in the airport. But undersand on monday we saw many of you cry. This kills us inside. We do truly care about you. So know that we feel for you. And know that when we do happen to see you, and we ask if you are okay, we do care and mean it.

All in all. No one knows what to feel right now, so I ask you not to tell each other how to feel. I don't mean to tell you how to feel, I am just saying to to hurt each other. What happened is awful. It's not going to go away. Just be there for each other, and don't judge. This is a new day for wrestling, and we are all hurt and scared and pissed and sad and lost all at once. So please, morn and let morn. Do what you feel like you need to do. If you need to call a friend call them. If you want to watch some Benoit matches do it. If you just want to forget about Benoit all together, then do it. Or if you are like me and you need to just write out all your feeling and see where it leads you, do it.
