In equal measure we are both pleased and sad to announce that the last two shows on our current UK tour in Glasgow and Newcastle have been unavoidably cancelled.
This is due to the fact that we'll be flying out to LA to spend some time recording and filming. This opportunity has come around at very short notice and we'd be stupid not to accept given the finer details which we'll tell you all about very soon.
We're hoping to reschedule both shows as soon as possible so will let you know when we have dates confirmed.
Thanks to everyone who has come down to the shows, the people who've helped us put them on and all the bands we've played with.
We'll be back on the road very soon with our new chin implants, brow lift's and chihuahua's.
X.

Hedge, Hope you are splendid, First night went really well, Preston was very kind to us and was good to see some familiar faces again, thank you for the kind beard comments, i know realise mine is known as a "sugerloaf" i haven't checked this yet just in case i was being had, so i chose just to trust you. Birmingham next and was a good laugh, everything went well until Guy decided to say into the mic that he wasn't particularly fond of a part of the city that we failed to find on a 40 minute walk after soundcheck. LEAD BALLON. All good though, people seemed to enjoy us and we look forward to going back to play again. The first pictures from the tour are up on facebook so if you haven't already please become a fan of us on there. We've also added a downloadable live version of '12' from the opening night in Preston. We'll be adding a track per show so look out for the next one from the Academy 3 in Birmingham plus more pictures and videos. Tickets are still available for the Manchester show on Friday 27th November... https://secure.ticketline.co.uk/tickets/13236568/the-paris-riots/manchester-academy-3/2009-11-27Also, last chance to get your name on the cheap guest list for The Highbury Garage tomorrow night... guestlist@theparisriots.net Much love and hope to see you at one of the shows, hopefully Manchester cos we need your money...just jokin...no seriously..honestly Scottie Sugarloaf McKnight x.

The term ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ definitely came to mind as we flew out to Spain in one of the tin can death traps that are collectively known as Ryan Air. But the beautiful sunshine at the other end made it all worth while, and this was just the beginning…
Our gracious hosts David, Nick, Dave and the lovely Beth from Supajam greeted us at the airport and took us to the pure hedonisim that is the Benicassim festival. With a backstage that makes Glastonbury look like a shanty town, we knew we were not gonna want to leave. For a start, the bar served beer by the litre, and spirit measures to suit however suicidal you happened to be feeling at the time… Sorted.
After the first night we arrived back from the hotel for sound check. Another luxury afforded to us as the festival only opens throughout the night because it’s just too hot during the day. We’d never played in that kind of heat before, so by the time we’d finished, it felt like we’d already done the gig!
As the evening approached, we were all just itching to play, the festival had opened and we could hear the crowds from our dressing room. We strolled on stage at around 7.45pm to a near full tent, and by the second song the place was full - around 4,000 people. Fucking sorted.
The atmosphere of the show was just blinding as the crowd really took us in as their own. People were trying to sing the songs back to us even though they didn’t know the words. It was such a great party vibe and it definitely set the tone for the rest of the weekend. However as we walked of the stage a hurricane hit the festival, resulting in ours being the last complete set of the evening…. Does that mean we technically headlined Benicassim???
The rest of our time there was partially a blur and partially should stay behind closed doors ;) but we will say that it was a time we’ll never forget…
We’ll be streaming a series of videos and photographs soon that might fill in a few of the blanks, but to all who came to see and support us, we love you x x

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Following the good news that the band have been chosen to perform at this year's FIB Benicassim Festival in Spain we have booked a small warm up show/celebration for the week before.
This will be at The Canteen (Abode) on Wilbraham Road in Chorlton on Saturday 11th July. Other bands on the bill include The Unstoppable Team, Daybreakers and The News.
Admission is free and the band will be performing before the headlining band who are The Black Knights.
We are yet to know a stage time but as soon as we know so will you.
Hopefully see you some of you there.
X.

Thank you to everyone who took the time out of their lives to vote for us on the Supajam website to play at this year's Benicassim Festival in Barcelona.
We're more than happy to let you know that out of the 1700 bands involved we've now reached the final five and will be travelling down to London next Tuesday 23rd June to play in front of an industry panel at the particularly stylish Pigalle Club in the West End.
www.supajam.com/fib-2009/fib_entries www.vpmg.net/pigalle/
The other 4 bands include Manchester's very own 'Lost Knives', 'Suds and Soda', 'Polly Mackey and The Pleasure Principle' and 'The Doups'.
We're thinking of taking a coach down for anyone who'd like to come with us for a day out. The only snag is we'll be arriving in London for midday so it'll be a bit of an early start.
If you'd like to join us please email benicassim@theparisriots.net and we'll get back to you with details.
Anyone else who'd like to come to the final but doesn't need to travel with us please email your name to the same address and we'll make sure you're on the guest list.
Once again a huge thank you for all who voted. If you can't make it we'll let you know how we get on.
X.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have been fortunate enough to be hand picked from over 1700 bands for the final 40 of SupaJam's "Fast Track To FIB 2009" and now have an opportunity to perform at the Benicassim Festival in Barcelona this July.
The 40 bands will be reduced to 5 for a showcase in a London final on June 23rd at the legendary Pigalle Club.
We would appreciate all who would take a few seconds to login to the SupaJam website, scroll down to a Natalie Curtis picture of Toby's oversized head, which will reveal where you can cast a very important vote for The Paris Riots.....
If those few seconds can be turned into a minute and you're feeling particularly sweet towards us, please script a comment about the songs or the band, or something else that's been great about your day...
You can visit the main site at...
www.supajam.com
or go straight to our little space within and vote at...
