I'm going out to Burning Man this year, for my first time, as part of a film crew. The working title of the film is called "As the Dust Settles". I will be posting some clips here and there of the trip and production.

Which films do you think are awesome?

If you're not a major studio film or and 'indie' film with a serious budget behind it the onus is on the filmmaker to find their audience. This festival is place for truly independent films to find eyeballs. It's an exciting place for movie lovers to find content that is truly original.

So our film is actually going to be on television starting tonight. It's premiering at 9 PM eastern time. We will then do a virtual live Q and A from our website after the film at 10:10. If you'd like to send us in some questions go to

http://foureyedmonsters.com/live

the film will also re-air at: @ 4:30A E eastern / 1:30A pacific.

In other news our DVD is being re-released with 5 new episodes and a bundled music CD and will be on the new release shelf exclusively in Borders starting next Tuesday April 29th.

We might only be in stock for 1 week so if you want a copy, Tuesday is the best day to come out and pick on up. It's supposed to be only 20 dollars for the two disc set and has some brand new really cool artwork, menus and extras.

Thanks so much for everyones support in the project and for bringing us to this finish line!!!

On a personal note I'm totally amazed to have finally reached this point. I'm not really sure what to do with myself. I'm looking forward to working on some projects a few of my friends are putting together in front of and behind the camera. I always work best in collaborations. I really hope everyone gets a chance to see the new episodes. I'll be interested to see how people react, up to a point and then I'll probably want to crawl into a hole and die. I hope everyone is having a great Spring.

So my friend Dorian is in a dance company that is pioneering some awesome tools for sharing art. Vote for their idea and they will win $10,000 which will go towards them continuing to create dance pieces and build the tools for connecting people through creativity and sharing in the creative process.

Go here to vote:
http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/906-Impact-the-arts-Enable-perform

Read below for more details on their proposal:

Misnomer is in the finals to win $10K from Ideablob to build free web tools for the performing arts. We request your vote for the first time or, if you voted already, a new and last vote for the finals round.

In addition to creating dances, Misnomer Dance Theater has put together a proposal to build online tools for the dance world. Please take two minutes to vote for us on IdeaBlob so we can win $10,000 toward building these tools to share with dance and theater artists with the aim of helping them increase bookings and revenue and give online audiences more engaging experiences. The web has created new opportunities for artists and we are asking you to help enable us to build these resources for the arts. We are in the finals so we need you to support our idea on IdeaBlob before Dec 31! With your vote and this $10K, we'll be working to create exciting ways for people to discover the arts online! Thank you.

What will Misnomer do if we win $10,000 for this idea?
Your vote will help us:
1) BUILD web-streaming capabilities for rehearsals enabling audiences to "attend" live rehearsals online and interact directly with artists.
2) CREATE an online theater in which visitors can watch and direct performances from multiple perspectives including back stage views, and performers' point of view via body mounted cameras.
3) DEVELOP tools to request and display the geography of artist's online audiences. Venues in new cities can then have ready-made audience bases.
We hope these online tools will help transform artist's websites into sites of participation. We anticipate this will create great impact in the arts world!

When you get off the bridge take a sharp right on Broadway. Then take your 2nd right on Bedford Ave. Go up Bedford for a bit past all the hipsterness. Then when you start to get to a more no-mans -land-looking-area, look for a left on Manhattan Ave. Then take your second left on Meserole St. Then drive past lorimer, Guernsey, Clifford and then turn right on Banker st. and the address to Studio B is 259 Banker, you can't miss it. From lower east side in manhattan the cab should be 12 dollars or so.

I have a couple drawings I'm selling on ebay. I'm setting the price pretty low. I may start letting Arin handle my art sales for a % of the cut but if he starts selling them, he will sell them for more. He's pretty business savvy and can probably work my stuff better than I can. I guess what I'm saying is, get em' while they're cheap.

This first one is 9"X14" I believe, mixed media drawing torn from my sketchbook. Maybe one of my favorite drawings I've ever done. It just seems like everything good and fantastical. It's pure love and joy. Not something I'm used to expressing. I was shocked when it came out of me. The bidding starts at $12.

This next one is 8" X 11" piece of yellow graph paper. It's made with pen, ink, pencil, some marker. It was inspired by kissing. The bidding starts at $10.
synapse kiss:
-the pure sensual pleasure
-the searching/ yearning for a meaning behind it.
-the mingled pain/pleasure of having and wanting

So Arin and I are taking a break from working together every day for a little bit. We need to get our finances in order and give each other some emotional breathing room. I'm looking for work of any kind so I can feed myself and pay rent. If anyone knows of any work of any kind that is of course paying let me know. In the interim I'm going to make videos that are sort of like those youtube videos we did for Sundance Channel. Videos that are very immediate, give a quick look at some of the emotional highs and lows of recent activity. They aren't intended to be the mega high concept high drama dry comedy masterpiece theater epics that the FEM episodes are. The video I'm posting below is simply a friend visiting from out of town. The good times we had, and the inevitable sadness that comes immediatly after good times.

Want to see an awesome video? My friend Isis made a video with her dancer friends of each of them pole dancing on NYC subways with tons of people on the train. It's totally hot and hilarious. So far their video has the highest score, if they remain in the lead by tomorrow they'll win $10,000, a portion of which they're giving to a fund for blind kids. Go vote for their video on darejunkies.com Click on the video: Pole-ite girls. Vote 10 and if you really want them to win vote 1s on the videos that are just behind them in score.
