Well, all my final day of deer hunting didn't turn out quite the way I had planned.
I was trying to cross the levee this morning around 7:30 & didn't quite make it. I got all the way to the top of this sheet of ice and the truck decided it would rather go backwards instead of forwards and I slid all the way down the hill and right into a telephone poll.
I was not hurt and the truck is drivable, but it's totaled.
A guy I know came by and was going to pull me out, since the road was so slick he decided to drive into the field where he thought he'd have better traction, but ended up tearing a small hole in his driver's side rear tire. When he drove back up on the road to fix it he decided to drive over the levee for some reason & on his return trip over he started sliding and slid right into the front of my truck!
Luckily there was no additional damage to my truck and only a small dent in his.
While we were trying to get the trucks un-stuck, another truck comes over the levee from the river side trys to maneuver around us and hits the telephone pole on the other side of the road, totaling his truck as well!
Then a snow plow comes down the road carrying the sheriff's deputy who was taking the accident report and he slides off of the road and into the field!
