The North Gate Tavern March 23, 2007 CD is available.  I've added a few songs from the recording to the SUC profile.

I posted a video of a sizeable portion of Astronaut from our opening show courtesy of Andy Venuto. Enjoy.

We had a nice first show last weekend.  Thanks to all who came out.  I've posted some photos courtesy of Andy Venuto.  It appears the audio recording did not come out, however we are planning to play (and attempt to record again) one more show on March 23 at North Gate Tavern.  Due to personal reasons this is planned to be the final SUC show.

I was excited about the song I posted last night so I worked out an instrumental remix of Astronaut too. Hope you'll enjoy. I didn't even make the connection of how fitting the title was for the song I posted last night; since there actually was no other song at that point it was entirely perfect. Thanks Nic L. for pointing out that serendipity.

Keep standing up, citizens.

I went ahead and posted an instrumental version of Right Now There Is No Other Song.  It'll at least give you a taste of what Stand Up Citizens is about—sorta at least.  I hope you'll enjoy.

Also we have some righteous stickers on the way for your enjoyment.  They should be here within the next two weeks.

Peace.

Monica and I played a duet show on Friday at Café Chi Alpha in Baton Rouge. It is slightly confusing because it was not a Stand Up Citizens gig—instead Monica and I played each other's solo compositions as a duet. We picked up this show a little over a week ago so we could have a Stand Up Citizens show at Chi Alpha in February. We each chose five of our solo tunes to do together. It was a fun show and refreshing to prepare new presentations. I pulled out a tune I haven't publicly presented (at least to my recollection), and Monica performed a special song (and a quite excellent one I should add) for her boyfriend Chris. I think the whole gig went nicely. The feedback has been positive; thanks to those who have shared kind words. Monica has a lovely voice; I'm fortunate to be working with her. I am excited about our debut in almost a month! Yikes—we've got to get ready! We have about eight songs in the works. Hope we can see you there on February 23 at Café Chi Alpha in Baton Rouge (3321 Highland Road.) Peace.

Monica and I had our third Stand Up Citizens practice on Tuesday night this week; it went very nicely. We worked on some new tunes, took photos, and polished off some of the tunes we started last year. We've got over half a dozen songs in the works. I'm excited about this new project!

Today I posted SUC photos on this site and our PureVolume page. Also we confirmed our first Stand Up Citizens show at Café Chi Alpha on Friday February 23. In the process we picked up a Monica Filgo + David Loti: We Don't SUC Yet show at Café Chi Alpha on Friday January 19 during which we plan to play duet versions of our solo compositions.

Hope to see you out there!
