V for victory!

First off, the two new tracks have been online for some time and the response has been great. Secondly, the track Inner Stigma will be released on the upcoming "Downtown Metal Compilation", whereas both the new tracks will be released on "Uprising - A Collection of Itä-Uusimaa's Finest Metal Cuts". The latter on being a independent release featuring up and coming metal bands from the Itä-Uusimaa region in Finland. Good shite.

The release date is on April 24th along with the Porvoo Heavy Metal Weekend. Trident will perform on that night along with other Itä-Uusimaa metal acts.

P.S. Don't miss out on Trident's next gig on April 11th at the Emergenza semifinals at Gloria! Tickets: www.tridentband.com.

Kii-ai!

Done with the studio. Out came two tracks; "Inner Stigma" and "With Burning Hearts". Quite different in style, one a nod to the oldschool yet retaining a Tridentesque touch, the other being a more straightforward hardcore-piece with twists and turns in both groovier and sodden swamps. Interested?

Well, they'll soon be here for you Satanauts to enjoy. The tracks were recorded in Cut Circle Studios in Vålax, Porvoo by Roland Nordström. The mix was done by Andy Bomberg in Temple Lane Studios, Dubli, Ireland. In the same facilites Dave is on the mastering duty, so we're 96% complete.

Studio diaries and shit like that were left out this time, but all our focus has been on the near future and the escapades awaiting.

These tracks will not be released separately, but will be featured on two compilation albums. More on that soon...

Long time, no hear, but yhat doesn't mean that nothing would be going on at Camp Trident. Last week we were at Cut Circle Studios in Vålax fucking Porvoo recording some raw hardcore metal for ya Satanauts to consume.

The result was an sort of death/thrash metalish nod to the oldschool and a wink at the Brooklyn side of the hardcore. Right now these two beautes are in Dublin, Ireland in the hands of professionals to get their mixing and mastering done. After that these fuckers will be shipped to the States and to Porvoo for separate releases at two compilation albums. I'll hand down more info on these later, but expect some serious BRG HC to maul down your ears..

Gig-wise we were pretty active the whole of 2008, but now we took our sabbathical for February recording these songs. The next time you'll se us conquer the stage is 4.3.2008 at Semifinal, Helsinki as a part of the Emergenza showdown. In april we'll once again check out what Porvoo's "wild" audience says about our new material. Then, let's see... 2009 might be a year of releases, then again, doing gigs and getting wasted is pretty fucking hilarious, let's see...

P.S. Satanauts, we are coming back for ya!

Charge!

Trident is on the run. Now are the last moments to vote for Trident in the Slayer warm-up band competition at radiorock.fi. Help Trident by following this link and writing the security code. Thank you!

The next step to help Trident on its path to world domination is to follow this link and vote for Trident as best demo band at the Finnish Music Awards 2008 ballot. You can vote for bands and events in other categories as well.

That's it on the voting front for the moment. Thanks to all of you who have voted for us in earlier occasions!

News on the gig-front: three new dates added to the calendar, including 29.11 local band competition in Grand, Porvoo, 5.12 Heavy Metal Fest in Donington, Kouvola with Coprolith and Madness Co. & 6.12 in Donington, Porvoo with the same line-up. Welcome!

In February 2009 we will head on a mini-tour with Skulldriver & Tribal War doing 2-4 cover gigs. Trident does a NYHC-set including bands like Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Sick of it All, Biohazard, Pro-Pain, Merauder, etc. Skulldriver will dig in to the depths of grooving southern metal with Pantera, BLS, etc. and Tribal War will take on the Cavalera classic and a couple of new ones. The Ravintolalaiva Wäiski-gig is confirmed, but more is to come. Stay tuned for more info!

A lot is bubbling underground, but I'll let you bastards in on that when the time is right. This much can be told already; more gigs, new songs, a compilation album and a ton of grooving action.

Hello kosmonauts! Get your greasy asses off the sofas and launch yourself towards this site: mikrofoni.net. You don't need to understand the language, but please click on the star by Trident's song. This will help us on our path to world dominance and enslavement of mankind!

In other news, there's a fresh review out there at stereokiller.com which ain't exactly too pleasant for us, but there it is. Check it out.

You might have noticed the new gig in December. This far it is the only one confirmed, but there's bubbling underground. Stay tuned for info on where to catch us next time.

Over and out, -M-

I got a message from KjellHell the other day and it appears as if the legendary punkrathole Factory is closing doors... The last gig is on the 27th of September. Another one to put in the line of places that will be missed. Fuck it. Bar Mary in Porvoo died, NightLife in Kallio died, Factory is almost dead. R.I.P. The sad thing is, that left alive are the places that ain't worth the visit. Fuck.
