So I posted up free mp3's for people to jam to, but what I really wanted to happen was for peeps to download the tracks and make their own songs via rapping or singing... Well, life can be very interesting when you open yourself up to it. I met this dude who rhymes by the name of Endolbeol (end all be all) by randomly adding folks to the page... yada yada we get to the point where he wanted to flip one of the tracks I had up.. I said by all means just give me a shot out and thus ending in the creation of "5th floor"

When I heard the track It blew me away. The joint I had created my mindset was totally in a different place than his, he flipped it his way and through the complex variations of the track coagulated a memorable song about a dark time in his life. I believe that there are blessings just waiting for us if we just let go of what we fear most... homie didn't know me, didn't know to trust me as well as I but we came together on a unified front and created something worth while...

So all I gotta say is peace to those that do less hating and more creating... Big up to endolbeol for blowing me away with the track "5th floor" and lets keep the train moving...

There are very few albums that I can consider "perfect." For me, an album has to have texture, be consistant and an a to b. Sounds simple but most albums sound like a compliation or rushed or any other numerous flaws that can come into play. I recently was going through the many many stacks of vinyl I have and I pulled out Bjork's "Vespertine." When I first got the record, I was flabbergasted by the angelic tone and the overall bareness of the lyrics, melody and harmony. Listening to the album is like listening to someone's diary, it's almost too honest, too open hearted to be put out in such large quantities as it was by the record company. With my rediscovery of the album, there are avenues that I've forgotten and some never explored. With any art work that stands the test of time such as Mile's "Bitches Brew" or Curtis' "Superfly" or Pablo Picasso's "Guernica" or Frida Kahlo's "The two Frida's" ; enjoying just once is a fools game, in order to take it all in, its necessary to re visit and re visit to gather the full spectrum of the piece.

Current mood:  amused

My favorite maury show of all time was this dude who was cheating on his girl and lied to her about doing it, (your know the usual) but what sets this one apart from all the rest is he told the girl that he was kidnapped each time he slept over the other chicks house (which was on multiple occasions) and each time they would leave him miles away from home so he would have to stike it back to the house. And it gets better...

He starts reiterating the story to the crowd and they're having none of it. They're all laughing including maury! The dude starts cursing and crying and yelling that its the truth! Maury brings out the results and shows that dude is a complete liar and he storms off the stage.

Genius.
