Over the past few days the members of Stealing Jane have discussed and agreed upon taking a brief hiatus.  Now first things first, WE ARE NOT BREAKING UP. In fact, a majority of this time will be used to write all new material. It will also be used to take care of more personal things such as working full time jobs and finishing school. The past few years for Stealing Jane have been amazing and we have no intention of ending that anytime soon. We just feel that now is a good time to do the things that we individually need to do.  Every single one of our fans mean the world to us and we know that you will all be there to see the great things Stealing Jane will bring to everyone in the not so distant future. A Long Island show is possible every few months so keep checking our MySpace as we intend to keep you all updated through it. Below is the list of our remaining shows for 2009. We ask that if you can, please come to one of these shows. Your support means a lot to us! Keep in touch with us and we will do the same. See you all very soon!....

Brett, Bryce, Bunce, Jesse, dave, and I(Matt) have sat down and discussed what we would like to include in our goodbyes. I am writing this statement on their behalf, as well as mine.

As One of the original members, I have seen about 16 members part ways with this band, and every time it sucks. I remember the first day Pat came down and jammed with Bryce, Bunce, Dave and I, it was the worst sounding music you have ever heard (collectively) but we all felt it was nothing short of amazing, and so our journey began. Pat has been a huge part of helping us get to where we are today, and we will never forget that, and always be thankful.  We have all learned a lot from him, and look forward to seeing what amazing things he will accomplish in the future.

Andrew made his way into this band by setting up Cano’s and Vito’s Drums. He worked just as hard as all of us but never got the credit. We finally brought him in to the band when Bunce switched from trumpet to bass. Andrew has been the source of lots of laughter for all of us along the way; from getting him to drink the nastiest stuff we could buy, to hooking his nipple rings up to a car battery via jumper cables, to all of his one liners. His lighthearted spirit will truly be missed.

As For the rest of us, we will continue like we always have. It’s a long road to travel and we are remaining strong through the hard times. Like=2 0so many times before we will be reinventing ourselves, and we look forward to the challenge. We are confident with the way we have been writing lately and plan to continue on that path.Though this is hard on us, I know its just as hard if not harder on all of you.  We are proud to say we have some of the most amazing fans a band could wish for. You guys have stuck by us through the great, and the terrible times. You have gotten to know all of us personally and I know its hard to see sections of us break away. We urge you to support Pat and Andrew on their Journey, and show them the love that you have for the past few years. As for us we hope you will stand by us through this and help us get through our next transformational period. This band has and always will survive on your love, support, and enthusiasm.

Thank You All,
Matt, Jesse, Bunce, Bryce, Brett, and Dave

Pat:
How do I sum up a journey that I have been on for almost 6 years? A journey that I devoted all my time to, put everything aside for, and put 100 percent of my heart into. There really are too many words to describe the best years and too too many words to describe the bad ones, but for this message I’ll keep those out because this isn’t for me or for the remaining members of Stealing Jane but, for you, the fans. The people that traveled far and wide to see us play, the fans that spent countless amounts of money on tickets, gas and merch. I wanted to write this message to thank you for the love and support you showed over the years. There was no greater feeling then showing up to a venue miles away from home and seeing cars painted with Jane Pride with multiple licenses plates representing the various states you have all traveled from. It was you that gave me pride in the work we did and it’s you I wanted to make my final statement to.

As of last week I am no longer a member of Stealing Jane. I won’t go into any details because at this point I feel the reasons are irrelevant. I was fortunate enough to have had a good friend advise me on how to go about leaving with the right final words and I am extremely grateful for his wise advise and open ear.

I also would like to take this time to thank the long list of people that made my life so rewarding as a manager from 2003-2008- the crews at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel, Webster Theater, The Sad Café, Club Hell, Mulcahy’s, The Crazy Donkey, Old Knapps, Higher Ground, The Vibe Lounge, The Sherman Theater, The North Shore Youth Council (Cedar Beach), The Living Room, The Knitting Factory, Jeff McCoy, and many more. To all the bands along the East Coast I have befriended and made memories with that will last me a lifetime I can’t say thank you enough and I hope to k eep in touch with all of you.

It is often said that all good things must come to an end...And I do feel that this is the end of what Stealing Jane and myself had going, but is definitely not the end of my musical journey. I have had the privilege of working with several bands/musicians in 2009 and am looking forward to the release of some of the material we worked on as well as look forward to the unavailing of my new undertaking. For complete updates please go check out my personal websitewww.neoadamslife.com

So for now I say goodbye, thank you and I hope to see you all at the place we make the most memories … on the road.

=0 A
Much Love,
-Pat

Andrew-
To My Family, Friends, and Most of All Fans;
I want to thank you all for your continued support. After 4 years with Stealing Jane as a roadie and of course the trumpet player, I have decided it is time to part ways. There are many adventures that are still in store for me and I feel it is time to close this chapter. There are many amazing bands, people, and venues I have encountered along the way and I want to say Thank you for everything and that this is definitely not the end of my musical journey, but the end of the road for me and Stealing Jane.
You have all been so wonderful and supportive of me over the years and I cannot thank you all enough for that. I will carry the memories we have created with me for the rest of my life and share them with everyone I meet.
So to all of you thank you for an unforgettable journey. I will miss you all very much. Remember to ALWAYS “Stay Positive and Love Your Life”, keep those who are close to you in your heart forever, and never ever let anyone compromise who you are. I hope you all enjoyed the ride as much as I did. I never like to say Good-Bye, So Thank You and Until We Meet Again.
