Hate Gallery, which feature current Warrior Soul members Rille Lundell and Janne Jarvis, will release their new six track E.P 'Dead Celebrities' on 23rd November.

The title track is a modern day fairytale about a 'fictional' amoral British celebrity who  epitomizes the Cult of Celebrity and who earns the disgust of a nation and it's media yet is considered a saint at the time of their untimely death.

"Were not pulling any punches with the title track and it's pretty easy to figure out who and what it's about." Says vocalist/bassist Janne Jarvis.

"We're sick of the cult of celebrity and appalled at the media saturation and Mooney-esque brainwashing that goes with it. Live like a pig, die like a saint?"

As well as celebrity culture, other tracks such as 'Liberation' dealk with the slow but steady destruction of freedom in modern society.

"The two subjects are closer together than you would think." Continues Jarvis.
"We obsess over and covet the banal, tedious excesses presented to us by the tabloids and choose to ignore what's really going on. The two are inextricably linked."

'Dead Celebrities' is a much needed wake up call and a celebration of telling the establishment to fuck off.

"They make us look the other way. Hopefully this is like pre-revolutionary France. It's only a matter of time before they drag them out of their houses and hang them in the streets. I won't be doing the hanging myself. I'll be watching it all on T.V. That's what it's all about, right?

Hate Gallery will release their second album "Viva La Resistance!' in Febuary 2010.

'Dead Celebrities' is that rare commodity: A truly modern rock record.
It's a collision of distorted bass lines and razor sharp guitars underpinning songs for the disaffected masses of the 21st Century.

'Dead Celebrities' was recorded in Stockholm and was produced by bassist/vocalist Janne Jarvis and mixed by Jarvis and Chris Rose, collectively known as Binary Audio, as a continuation of their latest collaboration on the latest Warrior soul album-of which half of Hate Gallery are members.

"It's passionate and relevant, particularly in a time when there aren't any great rock bands left. Rock'nRoll is meant to be irreverent and visceral. In the times we live in, that's definitely good for the soul. If you've still got one."

As single 'Dead Celebrity (Queen of the Damned)' will be available as a free download on Monday 26th October exclusively from this location:

Current mood:  excited

Warrior Soul is cancelling all activities this year due to some major changes of plans that involve the  European release of ”Destroy The War Machine” - an updated and better version of the album with added tracks - and a major European tour to follow early 2010.

Our apologies to those hoping to come and see Warrior Soul in November, but we promise to come back stronger, louder and better than ever at the start of 2010. We're all extremely excited about what the future holds for all things Warrior Soul.

In the meantime, enjoy some Warrior Soul classics that have been uploaded onto our myspace site and check out the young and sickly talented Jason Heartless from Shram and his great video for “The Fourth Reich”, taken from the new album "Destroy The War Machine"

See you – on the most vital and dangerous rock and roll tour in the world – soon!

Transcend Records announces new signings

Transcend
Records announce a clutch of exciting new signings to bolster their
already impressive artist roster. New deals have been signed with the
following acts Cinders Fall, Idiom and Warrior Soul.

Transcend’s
main man Rob Ferguson said “I am really excited about the prospect of
working with these three awesome bands.  They represent the continuing
development of our Rock and Metal music stable which is brimming with
talent and quality product.  Our roster reflects our policy of blending
legendary established talent with the best of fresh and breaking acts”

Warrior Soul:

Iconic
frontman Kory Clarke's vision permeates the proceedings: The band he
created, Warrior Soul, which started from his spoken word performances
on New York City's Lower East Side. From the trippy Doors-influenced
debut to some of the punk-oriented and metal material, Kory is a man on
a mission, combining tradition with avant-garde creativity. We have a
sneaking suspicion that the best may be yet to come...

Cinders Fall:

It’s
always good to see a British band with so much promise - and Cinders
Fall has that in spades. For a young band, they spew forth one hell of
a cultivated sound that could easily be confused for In Flames or Dark
Tranquility when they were more metal and less progressive. They really
understand what makes a great song, and they know how to use a great
riff and garnish it with all the right harmonies and solos...these boys
will go a long way.

Idiom:

This
band is a breath of fresh air for the Metal scene in fact it’s more
like a hurricane! Exeter four-piece Idiom is at the forefront of the
welcomed 2009 rock-rap revival. Formed in Devon in 2005, the
hard-working collective take influence from bands as diverse and
eclectic as Incubus, Rage Against The Machine, SiKth, System Of A Down
and Deftones

With the East Coast of America and the UK thoroughly rocked in 2008, Warrior Soul have now set their sights on Europe.  The band will kick off the tour in Greece, playing Thessaloniki on the 19th February and Athens on the 20th.  This will be followed by a quick return to London, for a performance at the eagerly anticipated Hellfire Festival on the 22nd.   The 27th sees the boys head to Sweden, with shows on the 27th, 28th Feb and 1st March.  Germany next stop for a show in Essen on the 7th, and the 8th sees a visit to Belgium.
Full details of all of the above shows are on the Myspace page.
These shows will also give you the chance to see the new drummer, Billy Williams display his furious pounding beats!!
Hope to see you there!

Saturday, January 24, 2009

We are happy to announce our new drummer Billy Williams. Billy has been chosen as Warrior Soul's new Drummer for many reasons, not the least of which is that he is insane. Having been on Kory's solo tour in 2003 Williams proved to be a stand out performer on and off stage. "This Guy's Fucking Nuts" say's Warrior Soul frontman Kory Clarke. " He fits right in, knows the material, and can rock with anyone I've ever played with. He'll be a blast to hang out with again!"

Check out Billy playing on Punk And Belligerent with Supragod featuring Kory Clarke!

Billy Williams

WS would also like to send out a big thank you to our old drummer Stevo for all his hard work on tour, we wish him all the best and good luck with any future projects!

Warrior Soul are pleased to announce that Almighty front man Ricky Warwick will be appearing as our special guest on the forthcoming Warrior Soul UK tour.

Ricky will perform a purely acoustic set, including stripped down versions of classic Almighty songs, and some brand new Ricky Warwick tracks.

We hope it will come as some compensation to the Almighty's fan base, who will sadly be unable to see the full line up perform, due to the late cancellation of their late December UK dates (through no fault of their own!) www.myspace.com/rickywarwick

We are also pleased to be helping the best young UK rock and metal acts by introducing the awesome Sacred Mother Tongue, who will be appearing as extra special guests on our LA2 headline and Nottingham Rock City shows. Metal Hammer favourites SMT have just finished recording their debut album with legendary producer Scott Atkins and have recently supported such luminary names as Lamb of God.

www.myspace.com/sacredmothertongue

Our main tour support guests, at all shows, as previously announced are London hot shots Zen Motel, their incendiary live show is the perfect compliment to this frankly awesome (if we say so ourselves!!) bill.

www.myspace.com/zenmotel

New York Rock Gods The Stoned will also feature on all shows, (UK immigration permitting!!)  The Stoned line up features a moonlighting Kory behind the drum kit.  Have you seen 'The Stoned' Rockumentary? You should!

We humbly suggest that this Warrior Soul plus friends line up is the best early Christmas present that you could treat yourselves too...

See you at the shows........
