Hi Folks, Jonny 5 here, on behalf of the Flobots. I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us. Wondering why? Well, we’ve been working hard on a number of new things. To name a few: a new album, a new show, and a new plan. Add it all up, and it’s a new movement. A movement, of course, requires people. People who are not satisfied with the world as it is. People who have a vision of how the world could be. People with time, talents, and tools to invest right here, and right now. Are you one of those people? If you are, then we need you! In the next few months, we'll be finishing up our album. Meanwhile, Fight With Tools Street Teams will be meeting up all over the country and learning how to make change on a community level. It’s called the “Activate Tour*”, and this is your official invitation! To register, go to FightWithTools.org Create a profile letting us know how you want to change the world. Then click on the big Activate Tour button on the main page. And do it soon! There are only 45 slots for each gathering. While you’re there, take some time to check out the site! You can join a Street Team, meet other inspiring folks and help out with this month's effort to get better food for school lunches…. Thanks for reading this message, and for being a part of this movement. If everything goes as planned, then next time we're in your area, you'll be describing to us how you and your street team are working to make real change! Sincerely, Jonny 5 Flobots *Just to be clear this is not a concert or a band appearance. It's a chance to organize for something much larger!

Flobots and The Fray

The Bring it on Bowling
Ball

2009, 6-11 pm
Lucky Strike Belmar
JULY
28, 2009 --
Homegrown bands Flobots and The Fray are thrilled to announce the
first annual Bring it on Bowling Ball, coming to Lucky Strike Lanes
in Belmar on Friday, September 4. No ordinary fundraiser, this
evening of fun, food, cocktails and gaming will be topped by a
no-holds barred celebrity bowl-off to determine who really rules the
lanes in D-Town.
Proceeds benefit Flobots.org, a non-profit organization that works to
create positive change by harnessing the power of music and those who
love it. Inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of Flobots fans,
Flobots.org develops community engagement among thousands of young
people across the country: From leading voter registration drives to
planning community gardening and school art programs, Flobots.org
equips young people to be leaders, builders and changemakers.
ABOUT FLOBOTS.ORG

Hey everyone. We're hard at work on our new album right now, but wanted to let you know about something... Did you know FLOBOTS have a WEBCOMIC? Yes we do, and we want you to read it, bookmark it and spread the word. It's bold science fiction written and drawn by our friend D.J. Coffman (creator of Hero By Night). It's inspired by words and ideas from our music, but at the same time is just as much a surprise to us as it is to you, as the story twists and turns through an alternate dimension that we hope to avoid in our own! The main comic story updates for free on Monday Wednesday and Friday at http://flobots.net/tales And to help support the comic and the non-profit FightWithTools.org group, Mr. Coffman has volunteered his services in creating unique one of a kind "Flobot Art Cards" that come with unique Flobot Numbers. Up until now these special numbers have been limited to our close family and friends, but we're now opening up to our extended friends and supporters in the Flobots fanbase. Check it all out at http://flobots.net/tales/flobot-art-cards/
