Razorlight played a storming set last week alongside a host of Britain's top comedians in aid of ‘Friends of the Earth's’ Food Chain Campaign.  The gig which took place at HMV’s London Hammersmith Apollo included a surprise appearance from Jimmy Carr who helped deliver an evening of edgy humour and great music. Long-time Friends of the Earth supporters Razorlight played an exclusive set to the enthusiastic 2000 strong audience with Johnny commenting:

"Industrial farming contributes massively to climate change and it's important to put pressure on the Government to make changes on a large scale. We did it with The Big Ask campaign and it was successful. "Just send a petition to your MP which takes about 90 seconds."

Razorlight will make a special guest appearance at LIVEstock 2009, a barnstorming one-off event that will see a host of Britain’s top comedians perform alongside the indie rockers. Tickets are now on sale for LIVEstock 2009 which will take place at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in support of Friends of the Earth’s campaign for planet-friendly farming.

Chris Addison, Dan Antopolski, Marcus Brigstocke, Richard Herring, Russell Howard, Francesca Martinez, Stephen Merchant, Lucy Porter and Mark Watson will perform in aid of Friends of the Earth’s Food Chain Campaign at the comedy gig, being produced by the green campaign group and World Famous Promotions.

LIVEstock will take place at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London from 7pm on Thursday 12 November 2009.

Many people don’t know that the meat and dairy industry produces more climate-changing emissions than all the planes, cars and lorries on the planet – and that a hidden chain links animals in British factory farms to rainforest destruction in South America. Friends of the Earth’s Food Chain Campaign is calling on the Government to fix the food chain for thriving farms and a healthy planet.

LIVEstock 2009 tickets are on sale from £25 from Friends of the Earth’s website - www.foe.co.uk/livestock and from Ticketmaster on 08448 44 47 48
