Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes
We are now having tryouts for a lead singer · Must have a vehicle to drive to shows and band practice · Needs to be flexible enough to practice at least once or twice every week and able to play random shows · Needs charisma We want to try out as many people as we possibly can. Then call back the person we like the best. We just want to make it clear that we are very picky about this decision. So please don't hate us if we don't think you would fit. We've had bad luck in the past with adding/keeping new band members and don't want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Send us a message if you are interested

Cheers to everyone who came out to the skate park benefit last night. It was a jolly good time despite the violence towards the end of the night. I haven't felt the need to write one of these in awhile, but the brief incident last night was so infuriating that I have to get this off my chest:
I have been to well over a hundred punk/metal shows. I have seen bloody noses, bruises, cuts, blood... hell, even a broken leg, on one occasion, as a result of the dancing at these shows. And it makes sense, y'know... dancing is one of the purest form of expression, so when the music is aggressive, then the dancing will reflect that. But what separates us at hardcore shows from drunks in a barfight is a sense of camraderie and respect for those around you. We're all at the show for the same reasons: to get away for several hours and listen to the music we love, releasing energy and frustrations and to be apart of something with people with like interests. For these reasons, this common ground that people have when they pay at the door, you respect each other. When someone falls, you pick them up. If someone gets a cut, you pat them on the back and praise it as a badge of honor (and maybe show them to the bathroom). You treat each other as human beings and as friends, even if you have no fuckin' clue who they are.
So when a malicious brawl breaks out like it did last night during Common Enemy's set, it just shows that those involved had no sense of respect... no respect for those around them, no respect for those who had worked hard to put on the show, and no respect for the music.
It sucks that the only two violent altercations I have in recent memory occured at Front Royal shows. Benefit shows, no less, in a venue run by the county. It endangers the possibility of more shows at the Rec Center. Front Royal will have lost it's only alternative venue AGAIN, and the fundraising that these shows provide for the skate park will be no more.
So what I'm getting at here is this: If you don't want to respect other people, don't fuckin' show up. Keep that shit out on the streets where it belongs.

Yo.
Been recording a bunch, some of it turning out to be good stuff, other not so good, but hopefully we oughta have an EP done sometime soon. We've been in the process of writing new stuff and practicing, and it's goin pretty good, I'd say. Unfortunately, every show we try to play gets cancelled, so that sucks. If you know of any open spots, help a brutha out.
We tried recording a new song and re-recording "Ice Cream & Shakes" today, but things didn't turn out too well. So they've been discarded.
uhm
If you want to record with Dale's stufff, he records for cheap. Jus send inquiries to this myspace, or to the Cirkus Child myspace.

HEY yea it's been awhile. how's life? yea? that's great
It's been awhile since Dale left for school, but we've had a few sporadic shows since then. Thanks to anyone who came out and didn't mind our unpracticed, sloppy playing. Cool things have been happening during our hiatus: Front Royal got a venue, new/old bands have formed/reformed/broke up, and lots of shows. Have you seen that one that's comin' up? Yea, that's the one. Fuckin-a.
Anyways, Dale graduates and returns in March, so we're starting back up then, presumably. Now you know.
During our separation that left me as an emotional wreck, we've each started individual projects. You can check out these little fiascos by clicking the TOP friend links. Or these links here. Hopefully it'll hold you over til March, eh?
Cirkus Child www.myspace.com/cirkuschild Dale's been recordin down there in Florida, and he's got some awesome beats down as Cirkus Child.
onlyoncepall www.myspace.com/onlyoncepall Rob changed his personal myspace into a music profile so he could post some instrumentals he's done over the past few years.
Spring-Loaded Twatshot and Foi Est Tout www.myspace.com/springloadedtwatshot www.myspace.com/foiesttaut I'm still goin' at the SLTS crap, but I also joined a new band that plays some groovin stuff.

And finally, go to these sites and add them as friends to stay up-to-date on local show listings!

The show last night was fucking awesome, we had a great time and the other bands were tasty. Thanks to everyone who came out to our last show, we appreciate it, as we appreciate anybody who has ever patronized a show, bought a CD, or supported us in anyway. We are forever in your debt.
Good game, good game...

Well, we missed the Punkapalooza on Friday 'cause of the drunken happenings of Thanksgiving night... next time anyone sees our guitarist Dale, kick him in the shin and/or nuts.
The show last nite went pretty damned good, though... thanks to Matt for settin that up and thanks to everybody who weathered the cold to see the bands (who were fuckin awesome)...
We are gonna try to record an EP's worth of material before splitting, so hopefully that works out. Anybody who has a studio for cheap should hit us up. Also, we oughta have some cool shows in December, leading up to the final show on Jan. 1st (NATIONAL HANGOVER DAY)... the show listings will be up soon, so come on out.
alright, that's about it

Yea, I haven't done one of these in awhile, so I figured I oughta let people know what thell we've been up to and all that jazz... so... ah
The show on Sunday went pretty well, despite my voice giving out half-way through the set... maybe I shouldn't yell so loudly, eh? Maybe pace myself... or whatever. Anyways, the show was fun, lots of good music, weird noises, cool folks, etc... have to do that again sometime. Thanks again to Matt for hookin' us up, and to the other bands for being cool.
Oh yea, this Saturday night we will be playing a Halloween show at Joel Pinto's house, so get a costume and come on out, it should be cool. Crazy shit happens at Joel's, you don't to miss this week's new episode of Warren County's most watched reality drama. Britton will be rejoining the line-up, and we will be playin lots of stuff we haven't played before, so it will be "ROCKIN'", as the kids would say.
Also on the agenda, a benefit show in Hagerstown in November, me or Rob'll post the details soon. Come out and support those poor people who got royally assfucked by the government. I believe the cover charge is a donation of some sort...
Now, about the future of Kill The Car... well, to put it bluntly, we are going to split probably after Christmas, 'cause Dale's going off to Florida to go back to school, and Rob might be going to Atlanta to do the same. So either the band will end then or go on an extended hiatus... probably the former, so if you haven't come out to a show, you definitely should. It would make us happy.
That's all for now.
