Okay there kids

Whether you first loaded this page when we were Sabutamol or you were with us since we were the Ducks, you may have noticed a complete stand-still in activities lately. Sorry for this, but we kind of broke up again then re-formed again and then broke up again in very rapid succession, so I forgot to tell you.

This time we've broken up for good [seeing as I'm the only one left I really should use first person, but anyway...] and it seems VERY VERY VERY UNLIKELY that we'll be getting back together again, or that I'll be able to find another french horn player to play drums at short notice [semi-inside joke].

But anyway, I've moved on now, into a new project that I've called Kipuka and which you kids can view at

Please check it out, if you liked the Ducks or Sabutamol, you may very well like this project. Hope all goes well with it, but if not, oh well. I tried, and I had fun. =D

Okay, Duckwits- Listen carefully- this is only coming once. The Blue Ducks died shortly before our frontman, Pucci (Who's still referring to himself in the third person) left for King Island. While he was away, he developed a sort of follow-up to The Blue Ducks, named Sabütamol [It's a misspelling of a chemical listed on his Ventolin inhaler]. This project has headed down a VERY different road to the one The Blue Ducks forged, and we're pretty happy with the results. We've got Pucci on vocals and lead guitar, and Michael on french horn/drums. The result is an avant garde, hardcore, anarcho-punk noise machine with a leaning towards Crass-like punk poetry. Very soon, we'll update the profile with all the details ('cause as of today, the fucking thing's out of date!!!)

Greetings Duckwits! It's time for yet another Blue Ducks blog and this month it's an absolute CRACKER!

First item: Stuart Kerr has just announced his departure from the band, after nearly a year of faithful unquestioning servitude. While this news may look rather grim (as Stuart and I are the only proper members of the band at the moment), I've decided not to let it worry me and see if I can attract interest from other nutcases out there in the general community who might want to fill Stuart's shoes. While no actual reason has been given for this yet, I have heard from the man himself that he was simply "bored" and "sick of" the band, and wanted a change. Fair enough.

Second item: Now here's the one that may redeem our dwindling membership... Sam Clarke, who has, up until this point, seemed rather perturbed at any suggestion of singing for The Blue Ducks, instead offering us various other forms of support and assistance is returning to the mainland on Thursday the 27th of June. Tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be tired and weary and we can con him into replacing Stuart. Gotta love sleep-deprived decision making, eh?

Third item: I've started recording a song that Sam and I co-wrote which just may be the basis for bringing The Blue Ducks into the world of guitars. But rest assured we will never stop doing Pun'k'apella, it's too damn fun!

Unusually Dangerous, I trust you'll agree!

Just noticed how very long it's been since The Blue Ducks have posted a blog. In short: aaaaages. In long: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Either way, I felt the need (out of it and fucking tired as I am) to update the blog... which is funny because very little has happened since the last time we blogged...

Well, last week Stuart and I went to a LAN, that has nothing to do with the band but it was pretty funny- among the mindlessly cruel things Stuart did were to stand above me while I lay on the floor and tip salt in my eye- PLEASANT, and he also got some spray-on Crisco oil and lit the spray while pointing the can in my direction. Luckily he was far enough back that he couldn't have got me, but I didn't know that.

What else... perhaps something relevant? ummm... we're pretty fucking bored right now and haven't done any work basically since the last time we blogged- sorry, we've been busy, doing important things, like sitting down.

PS: oh, and we've decided to resurrect our podcast project of last year sometime in the near future so we'll let you know how we go with that.

Okay, people- we've got a new routine worked out and have decided to move into a bit of vocal improvisation.
We have a lot of material that is being perfected all the time and some recent themes that we've managed to improv on successfully are:

Hopefully we'll get some ideas down soon and we'll be able to get a gig and show you all the wonderful work we're doing!

In other news Will's guitar playing is coming along slowly but surely and he has to start getting lessons soon according to his family- this may accelerate the process slightly.

Unusually Dangerous, I Think You'll Agree

It's been a while since we updated the profile, so we thought we'd do that now. There are currently two new pictures available for your viewing pleasure. The first features Pucci giving a slightly diagonal peace sign to the camera while The Blue Ducks' friend Michael stands behind him and looks slightly confused. It's a good photo... The second is a photo of Stuart... being Stuart... odd shit but check it out...

Ummm... what else can we tell you? We still haven't landed a gig... okay, we haven't really been looking very hard but still, we haven't found a gig yet... Slowly, we're getting back into the routine of having a creative process and being a band/living performance art piece/thing so we're coming up with more and more new ideas daily- problem is, we're a live band/performance concept so we kind of need to perform for any of our ideas to make sense. Hopefully, someone will get off their arses *eyeballs Pucci menacingly* and organize some sort of gig at which we can BLOW. YOUR. MINDS. Okay? Good.

Will got bored and tired and decided to upload a fuck of a lot of photos of us and organize the ones we already had uploaded in an anal-retentive manner. Weird son-of-a-bitch isn't he? Anyways, there's about five or six new photos up and all the others are now neatly filed away. Ciao for now my ducky comrades!

We're kind of bored SHITELESS here in Blue Duck world this week, cause it's holidays and nothing's happening. If you've got something exciting going down- pleeeeeeeeeeease invite us. We would be ever so grateful.

That's right, Samuel Clarke is leaving The Ducks for the unparalleled nuisance that is King Island. We wish him the best of luck in his endeavours and hope he brings us back some stuff. Lots of stuff. Barrels. Of. Stuff.

Ok, listen up because we're only saying this once: Stuart, "Him," himself, has returned. And he ain't going anywhere this time!
In other Ducks-related news, Will has decided he will eventually have his guitar repaired but he still hasn't got the cash together (he gets paid this sunday but intends to waste all his money on a trip to Melbourne, mwuhahaha!)
