I'm making my big comeback to the entertainment business! No, I'm not talking about playing guitar with The Jones-Miller Band (although I'm doing that too...) Some of you may know that I led a double life as I portrayed the world's most famous hamburger clown for a major corporation for 27 years up until December 2005. I've recently gotten back into performing magic shows - not as that red headed clown - but as MYSELF! I gained an unbelievable amount of experience working with audiences of all ages - and particularly kids - during my McCareer, and I was also on the national writing teams that created the magic and educational shows that the "clown" did in schools, restaurants, festivals, and fairs all across the country. Now I'm writing them for myself. So if you are looking for something REALLY DIFFERENT and FUN for that next birthday party, consider hiring me. I'm currently giving a big HALF OFF discount to anyone hiring me through MYSPACE for the next several shows! For $150 you get a great 40 minute magic / comedy performance plus up to another half hour of doing balloon animals / hats / etc! For the grand finale, someone from the audience will appear to FLOAT IN THE AIR! This is a professional show that is guaranteed to make your kid's party one they'll never forget, and will be a super treat for friends and families. These really are cool for about any age, but works best for a birthday for ages 5 thru 15 or so.  It is clean and and appropriate for all ages. There's something for everyone. So if you are interested in scheduling an event or want more info, just hit me up on MySpace! Magically Yours,

Sadly, another member of the Savvy's Nightclub family passed away last night. Trina was a bartender and manager at both the Ft. Worth - and Waco Savvy's Nightclubs, of which her family were owners. She was Savvy drummer Rick Miller's niece. No matter where we played, Trina was always there to cheer us on. Even some 20 years after Savvy disbanded, Trina was there to cheer Rick and I on with our new group, The Jones-Miller Band. She came to our band rehearsal / jam parties every Saturday night and was always encouraging us to keep on playing. Trina's favorite song was "I'll Come Alive Tonight." She told us the song used to give her chill bumps back when we played it with Savvy in the old days. I'm not sure if our new version gave her chill bumps, but we knew she loved listening to - and hanging out with us every weekend, and we loved having her around. Trina had gone through some difficult times with her health over the past few years, but she didn't let it keep her down. She called me just a few days ago to tell me how much she enjoyed the Savvy DVD I gave her for her birthday. She said she played it almost all the time because it reminded her of the old days back at Savvy's. Trina had a wonderful spirit. And while she may not be there physically bringing us shots and calling out song requests in person, I know her spirit will be with us from now on, no matter when or where we might be playing. I'm working on a song in her memory - "TRINA'S SONG" - one we can play each time we get together so we can take a moment and remember our biggest fan and greatest friend. Trina is finally pain and worry free and probably somewhere with her mother and uncle and grandparents listening to a band of angels. I can just imagine her shouting out a request for "I'll Come Alive Tonight" - and warning them that it had better be GOOD! Sleep well, dear friend. We shall miss you dearly.
