What’s up! I’ve been very busy, so it’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post a blog. I’ve been out on the road with Jason Aldean opening his “Wide Open” tour! It has been a blast!!! I couldn’t ask for a better act to be out here on the road with. Jason’s just a great guy to begin with, not to mention the shows have been incredible, and sold out every night! It’s an indescribable felling to look out over the crowd and seeing them all singing along to “Stuck”!! Being out here playing every night to these kind of crowds, has really given me and my band a great opportunity to polish up our live show! I will be back on the road with Eric Church opening the “Young and Wilder” tour again, Dec. 2nd – Dec. 15th out on the west coast. We’re getting very close to breaking the top 40 with my first single “STUCK” so thanks again for all the support from radio, and from all the fans calling your stations and requesting it! Check out the tour dates @ ashbowers.com and I’ll see you on the road!!! God Bless!

Stoney Creek Records' Ash Bowers Hits The Road
Opening for Jason Aldean and Eric Church

Debut Single "Stuck" Is Sticking to Country Radio

Nashville, TN (October 19, 2009)-- Stoney Creek Records’ Ash Bowers is taking his debut single "Stuck" out on the road with newly added dates on Jason Aldean’sWide Open Tour,” as well joining in on the fun with Eric Church and his "Young and Wild (er) Tour."

“I am a huge fan of both Jason and Eric,” says Bowers.  “These guys both put on an awesome live show.  I’m really looking forward to joining them out on the road,” says Bowers.

Both Aldean and Church are known for bringing their high-energy performances to fans each night, which makes Bowers a perfect fit. His ability to affect audiences grows directly out of his love for what he does and the realness of the songs he sings.

Bowers’ has a knack for turning working-class dreams and realities into stirring and highly relatable music. His debut single, "Stuck," is a shout-out to blue-collar dreamers everywhere and is currently climbing up country radio charts at the #45 spot on the Billboard Country Charts and #46 on MediaBase.  The music video, shot in part on a helipad atop a 28-story building in downtown L.A., has been added to CMT Pure and CMT.com.

With so many new artists trying to break through onto country music's mainstream radio right now it all comes back to the song. The song needs to have certain degrees of catchiness to grab the listening audiences attention upon first listen and combine it with a lyric that is relatable to most everyone that hears the song. With "Stuck," Ash Bowers brings a mid-tempo, rock tinged effort to the forefront with a lyric about feeling like it's time to get away and get out of the rut that you essentially have found yourself in. In this case with Bowers as the narrator of the song, we find him talking about a very relatable situation that involves his everyday job on a warehouse line. Into the chorus we see him make the realization that he needs to get away from the mundane rut that he is "stuck" in and comes to the conclusion that he in fact "isn't staying stuck" as he shouts out in the hook of the chorus. Into the second verse we see him explaining everything that he is going to do upon leaving the same old job and boring town behind as he looks for his restarting point. Relatable enough for ya? We have all been here before and most of the blue-collar, country music listeners are there right now, making this a perfect anthem for them. The rock laced guitars are everything that the current landscape of country music is about and with the crisp voice Bowers presents and a lyric like this one, "Stuck" will surely hit home for pleanty of the everyday folks that hear it.

.. .. .. .. .. .. ....

What’s up everyone! I have now officially been on the radio tour for nine weeks! I’ve met a bunch of really cool people out here in radio land, and I still haven’t made the rounds to all of them yet. A lot of airplanes, rental cars, Cracker Barrel, handshakes, and hotel rooms, but all is good though. I have had a blast!!!!  ....

 ....

My new single “Stuck” has been at radio for 3 weeks now, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I want to personally send out a special thanks to all the radio stations who have been so supportive and also to all of you who have been calling in to your local radio stations and requesting it. I’ve been all over the country in the past few months, and it is really cool to see how people everywhere can relate to this song.  ....

 ....

After the radio tour, me and the band will be hitting the road pretty hard and heavy for the rest of the year so keep checking www.ashbowers.com for the latest news and tour dates on the calendar and hopefully we will be in a town near you! Don’t forget to find me on MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter. Thanks again for all your support! See ya on the road!

Realizing that their ability to promote more than two or three artists at a time was stopping some of their artists from getting the ability to get their music to the masses, Broken Bow Records opened up a second label to house some of those ‘neglected’ artists.  One of those artists was Ash Bowers and after one listen to this debut single, here is an artist worth starting a label for.  With not only the voice and photogenic look required of today’s artists, Ash Bowers can pick and write with the best of ‘em, even if he didn’t write this song.

Written by well-known songwriters, “Stuck” is the kind of raucous, up-tempo song radio and country music fans have come to expect from some of country music’s bigger stars, particularly MontgomeryGentry and Jason Aldean.  The thing about this song’s writers is that they’re not the writers of either of those two artists’ big hits.  This is not a song penned by Jeffrey Steele or John Rich. “Stuck” is written by Frank Myers and Billy Montana, writers with multiple #1 hits to their credits (and former artists in their own right).  What does this mean for Ash Bowers? “Stuck,” while familiar, comes from writers who haven’t necessarily been down the southern country rock road before (they’re known for their ballads like “I Swear” and “Bring On the Rain”) and it brings a fresh prospective to the airwaves.

Ash Bowers is singing lyrics, over a banjo-led country/rock production from Buddy Cannon, about a blue-collar, assembly-line workin' man who feels stuck in a rut in not only his job but his life as well and uses the well-known metaphor to showcase a man who is ready to leave the past behind and that rut and “Get these boots out of the mud” and into a new situation that is more favorable.  As somebody who got out of a sleepy no stop-light town, I can understand the message that Myers and Montana were going for here and Bowers passionately sings a lyric he likely has felt before too.  He sounds invested in the message of the song and that’s what makes “Stuck” so believable.

Radio and the average fan will definitely enjoy getting “Stuck” listening to Ash Bowers sing this song as it speaks about the listeners and their daily lives.  Even if somebody doesn’t leave that hometown they feel ‘stuck’ in, they certainly can use this song as a weekend party anthem about getting out of town and to a lake or ocean or river somewhere for a party.

What’s up everybody!

Just spent a great week in California visiting some my radio friends on the west coast! It was an awesome trip. I haven’t had a chance to go back to Cali since me and the band were out there shooting the music video for “Stuck” back in May. The response we're getting out here has been incredible.

It was a very busy week, but Thursday morning me and my buddy Bill hit the road early enough in L.A. to go hunt down a few houses we remembered from T.V. growing up. We found The Mansion from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” in L.A., and the original house from “The Brady Bunch”! LOL!  In San Francisco we made it a point to go by and check out “Alcatraz” and “The Golden Gate Bridge”.

I got to meet a lot of new people in Radio that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting before now.  I can’t begin to thank all the radio stations enough for taking the time to hang out, and listen to my music.

Don’t forget August 17th is the official release Date for “Stuck”!
