The Synthi Group is back for the second installment of their ongoing Electronic Music Studio (EMS) instrument centered compilations. With the popularity of Vol. I, downloaded over 41,000 times, it was made clear that an interest exists for the unique sound of EMS machinery. Vol. II continues the DIY ethic of the first, encapsulating a diverse array of sounds from ultrasonic frequencies and spring reverb howls to rubbery logic sequences and colliding inverted ramp oscillators.

The members presenting their own manipulations and interpretations of the Synthi. Encompassing elements from vintage analog, ambient, glitch and experimental, both beginners and aficionados of electronic music alike will find interest in the varying styles presented here. Available through Clinical Archives, the Synthi Group: Vol. II must not be missed. Bleep.

Hypnotic and charmful journey to the mystery of ancient tropical rainforest, filled with nostalgic melancholy. A breathtaking masterpiece!
'Lanscapes' was written and recorded by Maxim partially over his trip to Cambodia and Thailand, during July-August, 2008. The jungle atmosphere was an important influence in these pieces, as they helped him to capture a tremendous beauty of nature. Additional piano, vocal and guitar recordings was made at his home studio in Moscow. Cover photograph was taking during the trip by Maxim.

Silence Drift is an dark ambient/drone project formed by musician and sound engineer Maxim Komov in late November 2007. Artist: Joxfield ProjeX
Title: Phantastique
#ca343
Date: 2009-12-17
Keywords: progressive; psychedelic; experimental; jam; space-rock; electronic; rock
Tracklist:
01 - Side A 1 - Into The Intro - 1:22 (320 kbps)
02 - Side A 2 - Another Realm With Accompany - 7:11 (320 kbps)
03 - Side A 3 - On The Opposite Corner - 3:23 (320 kbps)
04 - Side A 4 - Intrinsic Matters Matters - 9:.04 (320 kbps)
05 - Side B 1 - Deep Within Organs - 4:57 (320 kbps)
06 - Side B 2 - Oriental Flip Flop - 14:55 (320 kbps)

"Phantastique" is a virtual LP. The intension was to make a straight, plain and simple jam record based on some repetitive patterns, at least in Joxfield ProjeX’ terms of what is straight, plain and simple. Not to get too much stuck into the spacey jams the tunes are separated by some short experimental pieces. Look at these moments as opportunities to get some good, fresh air.
Even though it’s maybe not heard in the music, the main inspirational sources for these recordings are some albums by Acid Mothers Temple, especially Kawabata Makoto’s mixing style, but also some funky grooves from Miles Davis’ ‘On The Corner’ period.
This album should be played LOUD, in excitement and full awareness.

Recorded at Camps Anna & Batang 2007-2009
Produced by Oax & Yan of Joxfield ProjeX
Powered by Tin Can Music

Yan: Keyboards, percussion programmer
Oax: Guitars, bass, voice- & percussion samples

This is Joxfield ProjeX fifth Clinical Archives release.
ThanX Alex for majestic support!

Tracklist:
01 - Eurasia I - 5:31 (320 kbps)
02 - Eurasia II - 9:35 (320 kbps)
03 - Eurasia III - 3:04 (320 kbps)

06 - Eurasia VI - 17:20 (320 kbps)
07 - Eurasia VII - 11:55 (320 kbps)

"Magical music on "Eurasia" is full of apprentice's patience, unruffled cal and Buddhist leniency towards all living beings. We hear insisde ourselves what is there and take it as it is". Simply speaking, they are playing the air and aren't being in a stew. The most important discipline of The Winter War In Tibet is the lightness and naturalness - the lightness and naturalness of running water.

Band THE WINTER WAR IN TIBET was formed in 2008 in Minsk, Belarus. This is collaboration of musicians from Minsk groups BOGOMATER’ CVETOV (FLOWERMOTHER), URLA MAKABRA, INSUMTHINMAGMA, CHILDREN OF ISHIZUKE TREE, THE SHAPE, SANGIITA SHUNAKA and SNEZHINKI. A distinctive feature of the band’s music are the sound experimentation and improvisations at the junction of ethnic, rave and rock. Band’s name comes from the similar book written by Swiss writer Friedrich Durrenmatt. THE WINTER WAR IN TIBET has made its debut at the opening of the international festival “Kamen” («Камень») in Minsk in October 2008, accompanying Damo Suzuki, the world-known vocalist of cult German kraut-rock band CAN. In 2009 the band recorded about 20 improvisatory releases.

Date: 2009-12-08
Keywords: free jazz; improvisation; sound manipulation; avant-garde
Tracklist:

02 - #2 - 17:30 (320 kbps)
03 - #3 - 18:03 (320 kbps)

This album contains five improvised pieces of music recorded at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, in August 2009.

Artist: Evgeny Grinko
Title: Cold Spaces
#ca339
Date: 2009-12-06
Keywords: electronic; minimalist; melodic; melancholic; experimental
Tracklist:
01 - Infinite approximation - 3:14 (320 kbps)
02 - Cold space - 3:05 (320 kbps)
03 - Venus waltz - 3:27 (320 kbps)
04 - Singing machine - 2:30 (320 kbps)
05 - Scrap and tear me my robot - 4:00 (320 kbps)
06 - Separation - 3:40 (320 kbps)
07 - Afterword - 3:29 (320 kbps)
08 - Bored in heaven - 3:08 (320 kbps)

I've been writing this album for 2 years - from 2007 to august 2009. different ideas of the sound of the type were born in my mind during this time so now it's difficult to say if it helped this album to sound complete or not. Also it's hard to name the style of the album - it could be electronic, IDM or techno mixed with the orchestral instruments (the second part of album is full of monotonous rythms mixed with melodic pictures of orchestral instruments) it's not so easy to speak about these records... I've just wanted to make music.

Evgeny Grinko aka is best known for his work as a drummer for several Moscow-based underground bands, namely Magical Unicellular Music, Monroe's Pills, and WOGULOW TAROUTZ VERMO.

Artist: Anders Lindsjö
Title: Dry Body, Dry Bones
#ca338
Date: 2009-12-02
Keywords: improvisation; experimental; other
Tracklist:
01 - Forget, memory - 4:02 (320 kbps)
02 - Pap on the floor - 3:14 (320 kbps)
03 - Hereby (in Heby) Part one (w/ R. Strid) - 5:52 (320 kbps)
04 - Broisse - 7:57 (320 kbps)
05 - Hereby (in Heby) Part two (w/ R. Strid) - 3:10 (320 kbps)
06 - Eros Poli - 2:48 (320 kbps)
07 - Hereby (in Heby) Part three (w/ R. Strid) - 4:52 (320 kbps)
08 - Unlame - 3:03 (320 kbps)

Introducing Lindsjö and his guitar, it would seem unjust to posit them in one corner or the other, even though his playing without apologies takes cues from past decades of string plucking. Old idioms are picked up, domesticized and wrapped tightly before pulled to a neck twisting uttermost – even venturing into the blues.
Just listen closely:
...koeeeeng...kttanngg...koiiii..tkk....
– Reichel? Bailey?
...badibadabibee//bu//ba//bú//bubebo...
– Al di Meola?
...kbjaa..e(x)......schrrm......baoiii...la-la-le(y)...
– Burkhard Stangl?
Possibly, but I'd say the whole lot of them – arguing about the same precise motion of finger against string. So where does this leave us in terms of 'style'?
The more I’ve seen Anders perform live, the less I am prone to think in terms of style and genre. Instead, listening to Dry Body, Dry Bones I just hear the familiar sounds of what I’d like to term Andersmuziek: le jeu de Anders – die Musik von Anders Lindsjö. This is the recorded output of an artist negotiating a number of improvised modes, having more to do with mapping out a distinctly personal, emotional expression than of securing a certain position within the diverse field of contemporary music.
This is a hint at the white spaces still scattered over the object and landscape commonly referred to as the guitar.

– Peter Henning, Malmö 2009

Anders Lindsjö made his first appearance as a free improviser on the legendary double album”SOUNDS” together with Mats Gustafsson and Raymond Strid in 1989. A result of the first music festival presenting swedish improv music. Lindsjö would continue to work with numerous musicians in the field of free improv music up til 1996, and then retire from the scene as he had started to investigate desires in visual art. Raymond Strid, who appears on this release, early became somewhat a mentor and a source of inspiration. The music presented here, recorded 2007, is the first meeting between the two in nearly twelve years, and one of the first recordingsessions after Lindsjös return.
