My friend Stew McKinsey, a very good bass player and extended range innovator, has made it safely out of New Orleans after staying behind with his dog Jaxon.

Unfortunately, he just found out on Sept. 10 that his apartment was flooded to the ceiling, so it is presumed that his dog is dead, and his equipment destroyed.

He's good friends with some of the manufacturers, and I believe a couple of them may be able to help him out by donating gear.

In happier news, I'm employed again.. working for a publishing company as a SQL Server DBA/Developer, so that should be interesting. In kind of a nerdy way. I need a new pocket protector. I've already got the glasses.

Heard some gun shots about half an hour ago. I was inside, so I couldn't tell which direction.. you'd think someone would call 911, but no sirens.

I just don't know how to turn a neighborhood like this around. It's not always bad, but there are a few bad houses with all the trouble. So we're thinking of converting to nuns and living in a convent.

I'm curious to see the reviews on the movie Four Brothers. Judging by the ad crap on Yahoo's home page, they should've called it "Four Really Pissed-Off Brothers", 'cuz they be lookin' real pissed-off!
