I want to give sincere shouts out to the core group of fans who have supported this project even though there have been few public appearances by us and little new material on this site. Tigger, Ingo, Randy, Ronnie, Bat, Sherry, Rick and a few others...I just wish we had more to give you, because your loyalty and kind words deserve it.
The Mustang Brothers has always been a studio recording project that wished it could play live more often. Unfortunately, that pesky personal economics thing can get in the way of you doing what you might ultimately want to be doing. Since Bernie and I were cut from the Animals, it has been an interesting experience trying to recreate a career in music that would also meet our family obligations. It takes time to build a local base of gigs and we are all slowly getting back in the scene. Most of the gigs aren't the ones we want all our fans to be showing up at, but that will change in time. Also the Kings of Classic Rock, will give us some much needed breathing room . What I'm heading towards is, once there is a financial base to our lives, we can devote more time to the Mustang Brothers. We have great plans for this band. I still say, our best foot forward will be our live gigs. So my advice to all of you who would like to follow our efforts is...stop by from time to time...make a comment if you like..and remember that we see all of them everyday. Bernie or I will try to respond to any communications you have....Thanks guys, you're the best...and you WILL get a chance to see us soon....Dean
