Yes Tuesdays are my "long days." I use quotation marks because I work long hours every day but Tuesdays just seem longer because Adrienne comes in and the work just seems more official. When I'm at my office alone or doing work at my apartment it just seems relaxed and easy, but unfortunately I do not get nearly as much work done. Oh well.

Ugh, I haven't had much time to blog lately. I've been putting a lot of effort into my new client's campaign and it is definitely taking a lot out of me. I wish I had more time to write blog entries but frankly I just don't. In the next few months when I can increase Adrienne's hours I hope to be able to focus more on blogging, but until then it will likely remain a struggle.

Hello everyone! Today is Tuesday and I'm honestly glad it's almost over. I'm sitting in my office right now but I just want to go home and relax. I'm still recovering from being so busy on Sunday. I can't wait till this weekend so I can take some time off and relax.

Soooo… what's new with me? Not much. I had a pretty relaxed day so far. I did get the agreement from a new client which translates to more work. Lol, but I can't complain. Oh, and yesterday I went up to Roseville to help Heather get her domain name purchased and her PPC campaign setup. I was not really looking forward to it because I did not want to drive up to Roseville, but I'm glad I did. Heather was really nice and said some very wonderful things to me about how well I will do in life. It was nice because she was being sincere to me and it just made me feel really special. Oh well, enough with that emotional shit, I gotta get back to work.

The shit storm that is!  Lol. Adrienne, my part time assistant, was sick over the weekend and I can fully understand she was sick but it really sucked that she couldn't come in. I'm not mad about it, she's a friend of mine and I would prefer she take care of herself and get better then make the long drive to my office and spend the day working. But with that said, having to do all the work for my clients on my own was a gigantic pain in the ass. Fortunately I was able to get everything taken care of but I wasn't able to update my personal blog. That is my goal today, to get MathewGuiver.com updated.

Ahh, so I'm working a few other potential clients. One prospect is looking really good and has said that he wants to move forward. So knock on wood because nothing is final until the payment clears. Ugh and I'm having problems with my online payroll service, PayCycle. I have already made a few calls to their some what unhelpful customer service and it looks like I am going to have to call again sometime today.

Thank God it's Thursday!

So things are going really great and I couldn't be more excited.  I'm about to sign a new client for a high service order, which could really help me get things going. There are also two other warm prospects that I'm working, but neither of them have a very large budget :(.  Oh well. And I am also going to do some free local SEO for one of my work's franchisees. I have not really done much local SEO before so that is why I offered it to her for free. There was actually some talk of pushing the service on other franchisees but I just felt like it was too soon to try. Hopefully if the campaign is successful then I can offer it to other franchisees next year.

So what else is new? God I can't explain how nice it is having Adrienne helping me out. It's so nice not having to do all the work myself, and Adrienne is so enjoyable to work with. She is a very smart girl and although she doesn't have too much Internet makreting experience she is ready and willing to learn. I'm really excited that she is the first person to officially join the Guiver Consulting team, and I look forward to expanding my team over the next few years. I think it's important to surround yourself with good people and Adrienne definitely fits that bill.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I know Tuesday's are no Fridays, but their better than Mondays! Well, I'm busy as always today. Lots of stuff to do at work and lots of stuff to do for business. Today is one of the two days a week Adrienne is helping me out, so it's a long day for me. She helps me from 3 to 9 pm, this is after I've been at work from 6am to 2:30 pm. Just another day in the life of an overworking entrepreneur.

Ahh, so earlier today I sent over a lengthy proposal to a potential new client. It's a large work order, so it would mean great things if they wanted to move forward. Also, I got approval to begin work on a new local campaign. However, I'm offering services free of charge as the client presents a good opportunity to expand next year. I'm taking a loss by offering free service but it could turn out to make me a lot of money next year.

Well, I better get going I need to get back to work. Oh, and I think I've finally gotten everything sorted out for payroll. God, I had no idea what a pain in the add hiring wage earning employees is!

Good morning everyone! Boy it seems like every day that goes by I get a little busier and busier. But its good, I'm really excited about how well thinks are going for me, but I never forget to stop and take a break. I took all of Saturday off and spent the day with my family then the evening with friends. It's refreshing to get away from a computer every now and then.

So yesterday was the first day Adrienne helped me out in my new office. I felt so official having her fill out W-2 and employment forms. We worked for 8 hours and got a lot done, the time actually went by pretty fast. After we finished working I watched a few episodes of Sarah Silverman's show and I laughed my ass off! It was so funny.

Oh, so today I need to get a new proposal put together. I was hoping to get it done yesterday but I got too busy. It's for a pretty interested lead, so I've got my fingers crossed. I also need to write entries for MathewGuiver.com. Ugh, only a month's been by and I'm already slacking on my new years resolution to blog more often. It's just I'm so busy that it's hard to focus on writing a quality blog entry.

Good morning everyone! Yes it sure is a good morning. I had quite a relaxing afternoon yesterday, I didn't do any work what so ever. I got home a lil before 3 and took a nice two hour long nap. Then I bullshitted online and watched a movie before I went to hang out with my neighbor. I got the signed agreement yesterday for the link building campaign for Roni's websites. The contract takes effect on February first, so yesterday was probably my last day in a while to just do nothing. It felt good too, but then kinda wasteful. It's like when I'm not doing something I feel like I'm just wasting my time. But it's good to take time out to relax.

Ahhh, so what else is new? Business insurance is a pain in the ass. I have to get general liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. Between the two of them it's going to cost me like $2,500 per year. And as I hire more employees and expand that number is going to get higher and higher. I guess that is just the price you pay. Umm, I have a few good leads I've been working and two proposals I need to put together by tomorrow. I probably should have been working on them last night but fuck it. I also need to update my blog, and get my new business license. But the problem with the business license is that I have to go down town to pick up the forms, fight traffic and find a parking spot, etc. Ugh.

So this weekend is looking exciting. Sunday Adrienne is going to help me out. I'm really excited because with more revenue coming into my business I'm going to get more help from Adrienne. I need to get all this employment shit figured out so I can start listing her as a wage earning employee though. Well, have a good day ya'll.

God I hate Mondays. But the thing is, I don't really have a reason to. I pretty much work 7 days a week, so it's not like I'm really off on the Weekends… But there's something about sleeping past 6 am on Saturday and Sunday that I just love! Lol.

Ugh, I've got another busy day today. I'm on my morning break at work right now, and Mondays are always busy for me at work. I also need to finish the local proposal for Heather and get that sent to her. Additionally, I am trying to stay ahead of the game during this week so that I'll be less busy over the weekend.

Oh, today is going to be my first day working out of my new office! I'm going this afternoon to pick up my key fobs and make sure my Internet is connected. I'm thinking of enlisting the help of Tim to get my new furniture put together. It's easier to buy him dinner for helping me then it is to do it all myself! Well, ttyl ya'll.

P.s. word is Britney is finally getting psychiatric help! Good for her! :D

Good afternoon! Ugh, today has been a sleepy Sunday. I just woke up from a 2 hour nap about 15 minutes ago, and boy did I need it! I woke up at about 8 this morning and got quite a bit of work done in the morning. I'm still working on a new blog entry and I need to get a proposal prepared. I also need to begin some keyword research for a new client. So much to do so little time!

Oh so I moved some stuff into my office with the help of my parents and brother yesterday afternoon. I moved the desk and chair from my apartment as well as a chair of my parents. Then I was going to buy one desk at Ikea, but they were so cheap ($25) that I decided to buy two desks and move my expensive desk back to my apartment. Oh, and I found out I can get 2 free used chairs from work. So all the stuff I moved in on Saturday needs to be moved back out. Lol. Oh well, at least I burned a few calories moving all that shit back and forth.

YAY! I just got off the phone with the real estate agent and I was approved for my new office! I'm going to sign the papers and hopefully get the keys this afternoon. I just got the leasing agreement mailed to me and it's 12 pages long, with very tiny font. I need to read it and make sure I fully understand it before I sign anything. Then I need to go get a new desk and computer chair to put in the office, lordy the expenses are just piling up!

I'm also working two pretty hot leads. One if a PPC campaign and the lead was referred by a current client of mine. The other one is a Roni Deutch Tax Center area developer who needs help with their real estate site. Cross your fingers ya'll!
