The Pre After-Party Show is a new comedy show hosted by The Sarcastic Squad at Berlin.
‘Squad
will use a dueling stage arena with two stages, facing each other and
separated by fifteen feet where the standing room audience will
congregate. Each act will alternate stages and some will roam freely
through the crowd during their performance. The sprawl structure makes
the audience the center of the show combining short, fast-paced
stand-up, sketch and musical improvisation to create an innovative and
interactive event.
The Sarcastic Squad have had two successful
seasons respectively at The Playground Theater and Kitty Moon Cabaret
as well as have been featured at The Edge Comedy Club, Art Haus
Graffiti, and consists of a rotating cast featuring some of Chicago’s
strongest comedy talent.
‘Squad is founded by Adam Guerino
(creator and host of The Filmmakers’ Lounge, co-creator and host of Art
Haus, writer and producer of Mattress Matters.) Other cast members
include Eric Lutz (former cast of Improv Kitchen and founder of Kids
First Improv), Beth Stelling (finalist in “National Funniest Woman
Competition” held in California and host of Entertaining Julia) and a
rotating cast of top local and national talent.
The first
two shows are Friday, April 24th & Friday, May 29th featuring Adam
Guerino & Beth Stelling with Eric Lutz, Cameron Esposito, &
Mike Lee
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSarcasticSquad http://www.thesarcasticsquad.com 10pm to 11:30pm $5 includes "Cosmix" Berlin's popular alternative/electronica dance party with DJ Greg Haus until 4am.

Tantrum's Birthday Party!!!! JD Samson
(MEN) (LeTigre) Jobot(Yellow Fever) $2 PBR $3 Berlin Bombs $5 Absolut Cocktails Hosted by Scott Cramer, Rew, Bobby Pins, Tantrum and Miss Mini Shaina RSVP at Stardust@Berlinchicago.com JD Samson is a member of the feminist electropunk band Le Tigre. Samson grew up in the Cleveland suburb of Pepper Pike, Ohio. She came out as a lesbian at age 15. At 17 she left Ohio for Sarah Lawrence College in New York and went to school to pursue her interests in queer studies and feminist experimental film. She joined Le Tigre in 2000 after touring as their projectionist. Since then, she co-formed ‘Dykes Can Dance’ with Emily Roysdon and Tara Mateik. The troupe, was started as a conceptual dance group which choreographs dances that are performed unannounced, as interventions in New York City. The group was formed in hopes that Lesbians would take pride in their dancing and break the chains of the ‘lesbian as bad dancer’ stereotype. Once again working to challenge the image of gender and the butch lesbian, she made a calendar called JD's Lesbian Calendar 2003 with her old friend Cass Bird, a Los Angeles based photographer. I She has also worked on musical side project band, ‘The New England Roses’ as well as with Le Tigre bandmate Johanna Fateman on a remix project titled 'Men'. She continues to challenge gender roles with her androgenous persona, dashing mustache and impeccable nerdy cool syle. http://www.myspace.com/djjdsamsonhttp://www.letigreworld.com

BUNNY RABBIT (Live) w/ FIRE4EFKT & Nina Ramone
Doors open at 10pm Show at 12am, Ages 21+ $2 PBR /$3 Bomb Shots / $ 5 Absolut Cocktails Hosted By Scott Cramer, Miss Mini Shaina, Tantrum, Bobby Pins, & Rew
As for those unfamiliar, a quick introduction
Bunny Rabbit and producer Black Cracker’s debut album, Lovers and Crypts, received world-wide critical acclaim from audiences and publications including VIBE MAGAZINE, THE NEW YORKER, DAZED AND CONFUSED, THE WIRE, PLAYBOY MAGAZINE, and many others. Bunny Rabbit’s unique rap style, Black Cracker’s genre-bending musicality, combined with their theatrically driven live performance amazed and surprised critics. Working in the confines of their home built studio in Brooklyn, they created a world where hip hop met fantasy and conceptual art. Combining influences ranging from post punk to Matthew Barney to booty bass, they birthed outrageous hits readymade for the dance floor.
Now Bunny Rabbit + Black Cracker have created the next chapter, BOOMBOOM!!, a new album that is a huge leap foward creatively and musically, the future of hip hop and pop music born out of today’s melting pot of influence and inspiration. BOOMBOOM!! is an arsenal of pop hits that are original, seductive, and totally infectious with a wink and a nod to the avante guarde. The procative and visionary sounds of Bunny Rabbit + Black Cracker are now more realized than ever, and with three world tours, college radio chart-topping hits, and a devoted fan base they are ready to dominate the music world.

You may recognize these fine fellas’
DJs Zach and Albert (FIRE4EFKT) are members of Ssion (pronounced "shun") is a ten-years-strong art-punk dance/design/film collective from Kansas City, Missouri. Ssion has gained notoriety not only for their gaydisco- meets-punk-rock musical stylings, but for their outrageous stage shows and videos, which incorporate a harem of dancers and backup singers, comically cheap home-made props, supersized video projections, over-the-top costumes and make-up, and a visual sense of wonder recalling something between twisted humor of Pee Wee’s Playhouse and the decadence of the cult musical, The Apple.
Equipped with gothic face paint, undeniable boyish charm and dances of animae characters in their heads, this duo is slated to take Chicago by storm with their enchanted industrial beats.
