The new album should be out today and I must say i am a bit excited. i've almost forgot how it did sound. I mean I've been busy with writing new songs and doing other stuff so this is certainly something of a new thing to me as well to all of you who supports Bergraven and who can finally now buy or download the new album. There has been one interview for noisecreep.com if you want to feel updated about my contemporary thoughts. Don't know if it's posted yet though. There are also some awsome new shirts made by hydrahead so check them out.

It has been a very silent time, a very long winter and somekind of break from everything. Spring is getting its grip of the town where I dwell. I now present news that should be interpreted as good for the ones who cares about the deeds of Bergraven and its creator P. Gustafsson. The upcoming album "Till makabert väsen" is actually ready to be printed. I have recived tespressings of the vinyls and it sounded really good and by that we can only await the powers of the united states to hand down this book of revelations upon us. It is soon one year after the recording and I don't blame anyone for its delay, I am satisfied with the explainations so there is really no need to explain this further. For those who still cares about artwork this is published on mr. Aaron Turners blog who made it all a beautiful creation of vanilla white in golden frames. I will try to update this more frequent (as said before...) but the most certain source of knowledge about the release is probably hydra heads website.

I have not been lazy though!!! I have completed almost a complete new album and demorecordings have certainly started. I will try to update on this as well and to make you belive I give you some photos of last weekend which you'll find in the gallery. I really hope this long process will soon be over so that a new era can start!

Finally I have uploaded something new from the creative force of Bergraven. This is not from the album to come (album 3 that is) but instead it is something I have written for a thought 4th album. There is already 5 songs finished for that but I guess it will be some time before there will be any plans for it to be recorded in a better way. This piece you now hear is recorded only in my home with drummachine and my own crappy recordingequipment and limited knowledge och producing. Even though I think it has a certain feeling of strangeness around it and that is why I share it. Lyrics is written but I have not had the time to record some vocals lately.

Concerning the 3rd album "Asketens enda prydnad" (The sole adornment of the ascet), recordings will start at the first of May this year and I hope it will be a lot of atmosphere also this time. The work will be done in Necromorbus studio once again which is now moved to another part of Stockholm but I hope that will only be for the better. Hope everyone of you will continue to support the works of my mind even through my evolution hell!

Bergraven is my soul, Bergraven is the thing that controls my mind. Now it is once again time to record a new eerie and darkened album. I will enter the studio this spring, probably may, and for three weeks I will unleash all that Bergraven is. From within the notes and chords comes, on the outside everything will be as it has always been. Apathetic calm and without any sign of inner angst. I can not say when this will be released but I hope this summer will be darker than your last one while seeing the sun and be afraid of what awaits in the dark. The writing process started when I recorded Dödsvisioner so some of the material is actually already a bit old but do not think that it will sound like Dödsvisioner for that matter. Much have happened within my mind and my creations are struggling for more strangeness and unexpected turns. I think the material is a bit more straight forward but I guess that will be up the listener to decide when that time comes.

As soon as everything is settled I will tell you what label who will release this stuff and also hopfully be able to announce some liveshows, but that is far from decided yet. I will handle most of the artwork myself at least the creative part of it (taking photos and so on). There will be at least one guest performance except for the mighty drummer Perra of Nominon who will once again handle the drums. More about these people later when that to is settled. The working title is Asketens enda prydad (The sole adornment of the ascet) but as everything else that can be changed.

I have also started to write new material again and at least two songs are ready for future recording and these are more strange and eerie that I can handle myself. Bergraven is not far from taking over the soul I once controlled!

New tracks now shipped out and I hope they will be welcomed and understod by the recievers. This time I really used the possibilities of the guitar and with some hard training I have gained yet another level near my goal to achieve darkness. Working title for the album is still "Asketens enda prydnad " (The sole adornment of the ascet) and it is almost a concept album about everyone carrying his own death . An itching death who never lets go. A disturbance in the everyday life. Also about the fear of not knowing anything at all.

I have still not used any keybord instrument which people continue to think. And most important I am from Sweden and my lyrics are written and performed in swedish and not in german or any other language that I can not speak. I bet you can all read that I am almost not capable of writing in english.

A big interview will be featured in the coming issue of Metal maniacs and also one page in the fantastic magazine Zero Tolerance (written by the most kind man John Norby). Thank you all for your support.

The HydraHead version of "Dödsvisioner" is now out and it seems as it has got some good reviews, 9/10 in Decibel mag i e. There is interviews coming up both in printed zines and here on the net, I hope they will sort out things which is not clear by any reason. Be sure to check out Revolver, Decibel and Rock sound who have been most supportive to this release.

Concerning Bergraven there is still plans for playing live and there is also a new record finished but I guess it will take some time before I find the time to record it. While waiting do not do as me and get depressed from the sound of your neighbours bad techno music. Listen to Bergraven god damn it!

Now there will be light upon death. The release of the Dödsvisioner "Deathvisions" album is set for the 22nd of may through HydraHead in the US and through Total Holocaust Records in scandinavia. The album will consist of 8 songs and is about the travelling from dying to the the actual death. There will be interviews in Revolver magazine and in Decibel, read them if you want to know more about Bergraven in general. There will also be one preorder shirt and one regular available through HydraHead in connections to the release.

Plans are in the making for doing live perfomances but I have to come back on that later.

A new album is ready and it is a lot stronger than Deathvisions and will also take some time to finish. Updates will be posted here irregular.
