ESKAPO "Wind of Hell" CD

The latest offering from these Bay Area Fil-Am hardcore punk stalwarts known as Eskapo. 14 tracks of raging hardcore punk with some occasional hints of thrash which are sung in Tagalog (native language of the Philippines) and English. As always , the bands political stance is being manifested on most of the songs here which dealt with topics like religious oppression, assimilation, urban gentrification, working class struggle, legalization of marijuana (right on! Light it up!) among other things. As an added treat there is 20 minutes worth of live set here wherein the band crank up more tunes from their 1st album and some newer tracks, that alone would be enough reason for you to get this!! Total rager!!

PEOPLE AGAIN / SARJAN HASSAN split 7’[Halo Of Flies]
Midwestern crustmetal vs. Malaysian thrash. People Again knocks out two bulldozers of hesh crust and Sarjan Hassan repsonds with 5 tracks of thrash that are over before you know it. This fucker comes with a screened cover and a poster insert.

PROTESTANT "s/t " 7" [Halo of Flies]
3 songs of fucking pissed and heavy hardcore straight from Milwaukee. This record is anger personified!! The perfect soundtrack for the upcoming Apocalypse! One of my favorite band nowadays. This 7" is on marble grey/trash vinyl, 2nd pressing so don’t miss out!

RIISTETYT "KAHLEET" 7’ [Havoc]
Latest material from Finland’s long running hardcore powerhouse. Riistetyt blaze through five tracks of pulverizing hardcore intensity. Four strong tracks of 80’s Finnish thrash crossed with modern Scandinavian hc/crust and one track which is more of a droning, dark, tense number in the true Finnish style.SOLD OUT!!!

RIISTETYT "TERVETUOLA KUOLEMA" 7’ [Havoc]
Riistetyt (pronounced reestatoot, means Exploited in Finnish) was one of the greatest Finnish hardcore bands of the early 80’s. Their Skitsofrenia 12" is my personal favorite Finnish HC record. Riistetyt changed it’s line up in the mid 80s and eventually mutated into a totally different glam sounding band called Holy Dolls. When I heard that Riistetyt would be playing at the Lepakko festival in 1999 I was a little dubious. Would they play glam or hardcore? Would it be washed up, or still have some fire and power. I was really suprised when they played, one of the best performances of the weekend. Riistetyt had returned and playing some awesome traditional Finnish hardcore mixed with some modern crust influence. Fight records released this 7" and asked if I would be interested in doing a US pressing with a bonus track. Finally the end result is a 7" that stacks up with Riistetyt’s material of the 80s or with more contemporary Scandinavian hardcore bands like Kaaos, Totalitar or Skitystem. Really heavy, driving hardcore that will make you question your bleak soulless existence on this doomed earth.

RIISTETYT "TUOMIOPAIVA" 7’ [Havoc]
Originally recorded in 1984 this 7" was originally released by Kill City in 1991. The Havoc re issue of this ripper includes two bonus tracks from the same 1984 session not on the Kill City/Propaganda version. Scathing raw 1980’s Finnish hardcore punk at it’s best.SOLD OUT!!!

SCREAMING AFTERBIRTH/REINFECTION [Curse Surgery ]
Screaming Afterbirth side offers an all cover set featuring songs from The Dead Youth, Squash Bowels, Mortician and Terrorizer. Polish REINFECTION offers 4 live tracks taken from their set at the Soulgrind Festival in France.

SLEEPING AT THE POPES S/T 7" [Broderkont]
SLEEPING AT THE POPES were an anarcho-punk band based in South Africa that were active during 2004-2006.Musically the thrashy anarcho-punk with wandering baselines and dual vocalists along the lines ofearly CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE meets A//POLITICAL. Their urgently defiant lyrics cover a range of subjects, including animal liberation and anarchism, and are all sung in English."The aim of this band was for a bunch of great friends to come together and play music we love, whilst educating and informing the local punk scene about issues we keep near and dear in our hearts..."
Unfortunately this EP was not released until after the band ended -mainly due to the impossibly high cost of producing records in South Africa.

SPACE TO BEING/ TASTE OF FLESH (TSS)
Czech powerviolence meets thrashcore from Indonesia. Space to Being contributes 4 songs of crazed hardcore thrash including a cover from Charles Bronson. TOF delivers 5 songs of thrash attack Indonesian style!!!.

THE KLF VS EXTREME NOISE TERROR "3 a.m. Eternal" [KLF Coms]
In Januray 1992, The KLF released a limited edition mail order only single containing a new version of "3 a.m." featuring the grindcore heavy metal band Extreme Noise Terror. The two bands also performed a live version of the song at that year’s BRIT Awards ceremony. This grindcore reworking was the soundtrack to The KLF’s controversial retirement. A definite must have!

TIERRA DE NADIE "Sordos a la Tierra" [Mundo En Kaos]
The brand new project that includes long-time veteran Bob DK and a motley cast of characters from the Madison and Chicago scenes. Five tracks of ultra brutal, D-beat thrash with a serious early 80’s style rawness to the degree you’d associate with broken teeth and road rash. The lyrics are angry diatribes, stripped down to the basic gut-wrenching rage, so poinientlet underscored by the barking vocals and machine-gun drumming. The words are in both English and Spanish, with translations provided for each song. This is raw essence of rage with a truly no nonsensical, punk-as-fuck approach.

TOXIC DEATH KOMMANDO MILITA - s/t 7" [Broederkont]
"Sleeved up in a black and white jacket featuring penned drawings of gasmasks and machine guns, South Africa’s TDKM predictably play scratchy raw hardcore with vocals screeching anarcho lyrics with an over the top Japanese flair (as per the band name). Musically, there’s a heavy UK82 influence and a 1-2-1-2 delivery with pointed (and sometimes sore thumbed in the mix) bass lines. Combined with the lower-fi recording and harsh vocals it becomes reminiscent of early ’90’s East Coast anarcho punk bands like The Pist, Aus Rotten, Mankind? etc., or even the current straight-up delivery of something like The Restarts. Lyrics are stream of conciousness musings on unemployment, being punk etc. Solid." (KS) Maximum Rock ’n Roll 297, February 2008

TRAQUENARD ’We are the frime’ EP [Rudeboi]
Traquenard is a punk / oi ! band, apolitic. Sympathic skinheads compose this band . The songs spoke about Provocation, and drunken delirium. There’s 4 tracks on this EP, with great sound about police girls, drunken men, drug addicts and ’pas de chance’ a song about unlucky guy. Punk/oi band take’s on a humorous and sarcastic approach, sarcasm on a different level.

YOUSSOUF TODAY / OPERATION EAT SHIT [emergence]
French double thrash attack!!! 10 song of frantic mad thrashcore from these crazy ass motherfuckers!! Excellent!!

LP

NIHILIST / DREGS OF HUMANITY [Tasmanian Alcoholic]
2 x heavy duty thrashin’ from down under. NIHILIST are more straight up old-school thrash done the SSD USHC way. Mosh away the nite! Includes a Poison Idea cover. DREGS OF HUMANITY are more crusty grind, full speed ahead. Just plain brutal!

TAPES
All tapes are professionally pressed with glossy covers.

BATTLE-OF-DISARM /SATELLITE [Punk Holocaust ]
BATTLE OF DISARM are playing fast and noisy, crusty hardcore punk with lyrics mostly about animal rights. They are one of the best crust punk bands out of Japan for sure. SATELLITE from Indonesia delivers 10 tracks of vicious ripping d-beat raw punk in your face! They also cover "Karnvapen Attack" by MOB 47 for good measure.

CHAIN OF STRENGTH "The One Thing That Still Holds True" [Eye]
We are proud to bring back the definitive release of this classic straight edge band from Southern California. During the hardcore years of the late eighties, Chain of Strength showcased its straight power with this album. They did several passes through the states and did shows with bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Sick of it All, Youth of Today, Bold, Soulside, Social Distortion, and the Cro Mags. This amazing release also includes the 7" release "True Till Death" from Revelation and the self released 7" "What Holds Us Apart" plus an unreleased track. Chain of Strength brings you hardcore straight edge in the purest form. Most of you already know, others are still learning. –RevHQSOLD OUT!!!

DEADLY GROUND - self titled [self release]
mix of old and new school hardcore from Bandung, Indonesia.

DEMILITARIZE "Kotasinga Jawbreakers" [Azadghei ]
A new breed of politically charge crust/grind act from SingaporeFine City... 13 tracks of vicious crust/grind match with lyrics that deals with Militarization, War, Earth..s Destruction , Discrimination, poser punks, etc. Lyrics are sang in English and their native Bahasa Malay.

DISTRUST- "World of Tomorrow" [Azadghei ]
One of Singapore’s best kept d-beat crust band strikes back after years of hiatus. 7 brand new tracks of raging crust madness. This also contains 7 bonus songs taken from their "After the War" demo which was release back in 2000.

HASRAT "Social coma" [Avail]
9 tunes of pissed off thrashcore crust straight from Sabah , North Borneo.

INGROWING "Sunrape" [Symphonic Blast]
After two years almost legendary Czech INGROWING retuned to make a sacrifice on Cult of Grind’s altar!!! Totally grinding, scattering and highly explosive bomb of extraordinary gauge is made of twelve C4 slices and two detonators!!! High sound quality, extremely fast ass blasting drums, steam-rolling strings and excellent vocal suicides - that is "Sunrape"!!! Let’s get sunraped!!!

MAGNICIDE s/t [Strain Eyes]
Debut cassette of the newly formed Grind trio from Lion City featuring members of HASRAT(Sabah), ex DEMISOR/BOMBARDE guitarist Amirul and the damn so good skin basher and our good pal Jali from SECRET SEVEN . Imagine a mixture of 324, Cyness and a modernized Fear Of God. Do you think you can handle this?

PARKINSON "Peace Now or Die" [Broken Noise]
2nd full length tape by Johor Bahru..s premier crust unit. Originally release in 2001.

PARKINSON "Demo 2002" [Broken Noise]
This tape is a benefit project by the band for a Collective in Kuala Terennganu to help them with their Free food for the poor project. 7 tracks rage filled crust/grind.

PEACE OR ANNIHILATION "Horrific Disturbing Visions of War"[Punk Holocaust]
It’s quite obvious this Indonesia band takes inspiration of early DISCHARGE and CRUCIFIX simply by their titles and imagery on the packaging: lots of mutilated war victims onthe cover and song subjects, and lots of studs, spikes, and bulletbelts elsewhere. Musically this is a super raw take on the early DISCHARGE sound, sounding somewhere between the "Why?" 12" and "Hear Nothing, See, Nothing, Say Nothing" LP but with a raw recording quality of the early EP’s. Of all the DISCHARGE inspired bands I’ve heard in my years, I would say this ranks up near the top with DISCLOSE and DISASTER! One really remarkable feature of this release is that it does not have a plastic cassette case, rather it comes in a printed cardstock box of roughly the same dimensions.

PHOBIA "Grind Your Fucking Head In" [Blastwork]
Seventeen more tracks from Southern California’s grind masters. Political and angry, with an earache assault of brutal noise to back it up, Phobia doesn’t disappoint with this ragin’ assembly of power violence tracks and deep vocal growling. This also include songs that came out on the split with Resist & Exist under Profane Existence.

THE IDIOTS "What’s Left... We’re Still in Here" [Anti-Music ]
The IDIOTS are a legendary DIY punk band from Jakarta, Indonesia and have been at it since the early 1990s. This cassette contains 14 brand new tracks of powerful punk rock of which the styles could be traced to both Japanese and Scandinavian origins. All of the songs are sung in Indonesian, but English translations are provided. Top quality and thoroughly enjoyable!!

THE JHAI ALAI "S/T " [Sangsara]
The only full- length album by this legendary screamo hardcore from Lion City!!

THE RUTHLESS/ ROT [Strike]
The Ruthless (ind) plays raging crustcore while Brazil’s very own ROT delivers 11 tracks of raw grindcore tunes.

SELF MADE GOD / MASS SEPARATION [Strain Eyes]
The cassette version of their split 7" released by Jerk Off Records, Epidemic, Deep One, and Nihilus Records. SMG is a 3 piece no-bass grinding powerviolence from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. MASS SEPARATION strikes back with their hyper-grinding thrash madness. All newly recorded tracks.

STRONZA "S/T" TAPE [Azadghei]
The first release by these all female d-beat unit from Lion city, the raw and crisp sound recording adds more fury to the songs these girls had. One of the few all female bands that i’ve heard from Singapore lately, should be fun watching them live. Total of 7 tracks.

VOCO PROTESTA/ BLINDEAD HUMANITY "You Don’t need Weapons to Win the Fight" [Azadghei]
Voco Protesta are an anarcho crust punk band from Japan that sings in ESPERANTO. 5 songs of fuzzy and distorted crust tunes. Blindead Humanity is new band from Singapore that plays crust with a strong political stance on their lyrics. They contributed 4 songs here.

V/A "Path To True Independence" [Pissed Off]
It contains 4 bands from Japan. Except from Beyond Description we have Asbestos, Totsugeki Sensya and Destruction, Beyond Description is always good and that hasn’t changed here either. Asbestos contributes with only one song but what a song, it’s really great and has been one of my favourite songs. Asbestos stands for the metal on this one - worth checking out. Then comes Totsugeki Sensya with the chaos and distortion. Solid dis-hardcore, there’s really nothing more to say here. Last but not least we have the more mid-tempo, melodic Destruction with a really catchy song that reminds of Ekkaia and Madame Germen but a lot more interesting. Four great bands on one compilation - it doesn’t get better then this.10 songs in 22 plus minutes .Comes with colorful sleeve. Originally released in CD format by Forest Records, Japan.SOLD OUT!!!

Here’s the 1st distro update we have for 2008! I’m very sorry it took a while to post this list , been busy with various shit nowadays, don’t bother asking what the hell I’m busy with as I ain’t going to tell haha!! Moving forward most of the titles we have here are quite minimal in quantity (mostly 3-4 copies) thus there’s no assurance that once you requested for that stuff to be reserve your going to get it right away, as this would be in a first come first serve basis, would appreciate if you can at least cover a partial payment to ensure that you’ll have that title set aside asap. That’s all for now, nothing much to say here so I’ll go ahead and do some errands!! Spread the Love!!

Cheers and beers,
EMMAN aka THE MOTHERFUCKER IN CHARGE

CHISPAS "Relax! Nothing is Under Control" [Acclaim] 1 COPY LEFT
"We were able to support a great band again! This one is a long-awaited new album of Americano-German anarcho-punk band CHISPAS. They play anarcho-punk sound that give priority to the melody, and it is raw & rough but very powerful. We think it is like the sound somewhere in the middle of Lost World and Harum-Scarum. The political lyrics of personal expression with energy also are inspirational. They reclaim the life that we lead and the life for which we hope from all the lying things and persons who has power that rules it to obscure our existence. Only the Acclaim’s distribution puts a Japanese translations of their lyrics. This CD version is co-released with Tofu Guerrilla, Behind The Scenes and Soroll." – Acclaim.

Along with the god-like chaotic noise of this band (members include a cadre of secret Japanese scenesters) you get full color Japanese anime-styled artwork and a 12 page booklet that totally amazes the eye. DISKONTO "We are the people our parents warned us about" CD [Sixweeks]
DISKONTO, one of the longer running hardcore brigades from Sweden have led the charge of killing mad hardcore from their country for over a decade. After releasing 3 exceptional LP’s and a long list of EP’s and split EP releases, Six Weeks is happy as hell to unleash a new full length from this amazing thrash band. With influences based primarily on DISCHARGE and ANTI-CIMEX, this band has honed and crafted a deadly original sound, combining influence from those past masters of destruction with the speed and fury of GAUZE and NEGATIVE FX to make one of the fiercest records to come from Sweden to date?.23 tracks of reckless, breakneck time-changes and negative over-doses of hardcore thrash!!

DYSMORFIC "Suffer and Die" [Extremist]
15 new songs, the songs from the "Born to be Fucked" EP, the songs from the split EP w/ULCERRHOEA, the songs from the split CD w/DROGHEDA and a song previously released on a comp tape, for a total of 35 grind bombs. The rapid guitars, exploding drums, guttural growling and tormented screams are all doing their part to make this as brutal as it is. But unlike many bands in the genre, Dysmorfic doesn’t sing about cutting up bodies and such. Their lyrics are socio-personal and political. This new shit is the band’s fastest, most raging, most pissed-off to date.

ESKAPO "Kalayaan" (Self-Released)

Light it up!) among other things. As an added treat there is 20 minutes worth of live set here wherein the band crank up more tunes from their 1st album and some newer tracks, that alone would be enough reason for you to get this!! Seriously, this needs to be heard to be believed. No tech, no minimalist noise, this is pure, straight forward, raw grindcore that no other band seems able to deliver these days. JILTED 1998-2005 CD [Angry Records] 1 COPY LEFT
JILTED are to modern Italian hardcore punk as what WRETCHED and IMPACT were back in the day: a volatile cocktail of raw and raging thrashcore with intense and angry lyrics. Included on this CD are all of their studio recordings to date, which include comp and unrelease tracks, their first two EP’s, and splits with MURDER DISCO EXPERIENCE and BEYOND DESCRIPTION. MANIFESTO JUKEBOX "Strain" [Old Skool Kids]
Finnish four-piece Manifesto Jukebox unleashes their third album ’Strain’. Showcasing their imaginative approach to contemporary punk/hardcore, Manifesto Jukebox are obviously as interested in technique and delivery as their lyrics which deal in alienation, desperation, paranoia with an anti-statist angle. There’s an obvious care and attention to detail, eschewing any headlong manic dashes for subtle and clever use of bass lines and guitar, with shards of sparky riffs colliding with regularly changing pace and rhythms that all requires more than an obligatory listen. Apparently recorded and mixed in 12 days, Manifesto Jukebox had obviously done their homework to create this kind of engaging guitar led rock punk that brings to mind the mid period work of Husker Du. A refreshing take on the medium that is far from tedium. -Punk & Oi in the UK

"Out of the barren wastelands of the late-80s/ early-90s, came PLEASANT VALLEY CHILDREN, unique both sonically and lyrically, a warped collision between early BLACK FLAG, early RUDIMENTARY PENI, and vintage BORN AGAINST. Included are some great critical reflections on the world around us, which are just as relevant now, as they were then. You’ve got one chance, and one chance only, to own everything this band ever did, or live in regret for eternity." Andy Shocker, PUNK SHOCKER FANZINE, briefly out of retirement. - includes: ’Fuck Kill Destroy’ LP, ’What the World Needs Now’ EP,

A bone crushing onslaught of raging thrash meets moody crust marks this re-mixed and remastered collection of early works from Milwaukee’s PROTESTANT. Include are their songs form their LP, their split 7" with RHINO CHARGE and their 2005 demo CD-R. While PROTESTANT plays what is easily categorized as what is now being called "Neo Crust," their style is much less formulaic and reminds one of the mid 90’s pioneering days, when 2nd generation European crust bands like AMBUSH, ABC DIABOLO and HIATUS were first pushing the style forward. Another fine example of the renewed vigor that has energized the eastern Wisconsin scene during the last couple of years, after being declared officially dead in the late 90’s and early part of this decade.

PROJECT HOPELESS "Hit Men Inte Längre Utan Skyddshjälm" Discography CD 2001-2004 [Bullwhip]

RAW POWER has defined hardcore punk not only in their homeland of Italy, but all over the world for over 20 years. This is true hardcore through and through...bulldozer guitar attack with the trademark screaming vocals that made Italian punk history what it is today. Sadly, shortly after this new recording, the band lost their founder and leader Giuseppe Codeluppi to heart disease. Six Weeks is honored that the band has chosen the label to release their final testament to Giussepe; his dedication and resolve lives in all of us.

Absentium Existence picks up where "ill winds from outopia" and "half lit world" left off and carries on their legacy of brutal epic melodic crust. For the uninformed, SCHIFOSI are from Australia and plays broodingly dark heavy hardcore with female vocals. From the first tortured drum beat this will have you grooving and dancing whilst crying about the demise of mother earth. Totally morose lyrics completing the dark music. An excruciating aural pummeling to complement the coming apocalypse.

SHANK "Coded Messages in Slowed Down Songs" [Deepsix]
Originally to be released on Slap A Ham, this is now being put out by Deep Six and 625. This is by far the best shit they have ever done. VRYKOLAKAS "Spawned from Hellfire and Brimstones " [Vrykoblast Prod]
VRYKOLAKAS’ debut album. 11 songs of brutal death metal influenced by American and European bands, namely GRAVE and INCANTATION, as well as the inevitable but controlled NILE-ish influences here and there. Demonic brutal death. .

NUNSLAUGHTER/SPAWN OF SATAN [Rhapsodeath ]
NUNSLAUGHTER have assaults the senses with fiendishly morbid tales of the macabre. For the uninitiated, Nun Slaughter is a seething boil of hard-core sound that has been festering beneath the skin of death metal for the past 15 years. Legendary in the death metal underground, Nun Slaughter was one of the first American bands to harness this deathly form of music. Their raw sound and gut churning vocals are as demonic as ever. Mid-80’s Satanic Death Metal compared to Massacre, Sodom, Death, Slaughter, Morbid Angel, Venom and other contemporaries. SPAWN OF SATAN unleash a blend of Thrash and Death Metal with an unrelenting level of aggression rarely seen in today’s Metal bands! Images of Hell, the Evil sides of religion, and the supernatural elements of the Black Arts are the forces that drive these Metal horde into demonic fury! Every Metal fanatic of early Death Metal, will be put in their grave by this style of old school madness you haven’t heard thrashing Death Metal this good in a long time!! Fronted by Jim Sadist of NUNSLAUGHTER and featuring members of SOULLESS, ALL THAT IS EVIL, DECREPIT, DEAD OF NIGHT, and BLOOD OF CHRIST (R.I.P.)!!

SHOS delivered a very energetic live recorded sound . The music is an onslaught of power that can be described as the inbred bastard of Detestation and His Hero Is Gone with a distorted beast on vocal duties, while Scum Noise is a legendary crazy Brazilian thrash crust unit, they also throw in a couple of covers from Driller Killer and Olho Seco.

WATCH ME BURN/ SPERMBLAST [Life On the Edge ]
WATCH ME BURN from California, USA contributed 12 songs of Grindcore mixed up with bits of sludge, thrash and psychedelic ambience. I guess Avant Garde Grindcore would be the best term to describe their sound. I couldn’t get their "Sabbat" song out of my head. And their female vox Sarah really delivers the goods. 7"VYNILS

ACTIVE MINDS / VOCO PROTESTA [Aktiva Protesta]
Two tracks of raw UK hardcore punk from ACTIVE MINDS, paired with chaotic noise crust mongers from Japan known as Voco Protesta. Musically VP reminds me a lot of another Japanese crust act, Peaceful Protest, lyrics are all sang in Esperanto language. Excellent songs on both sides.

ANY LAST WORDS S/T [Havoc]
St. Paul Minnesota the other half of the Twin Cities Hardcore scene has a long tradition of raw fast Hardcore from the days of Willful Neglect and Blind Approach. From those same St. Paul streets comes Any Last Words. High energy fast Hardcore which brings to mind recent bands like Lifes Halt and No Justice and the faster late 80’s SE bands like early Youth of Today or No For an Answer. Any Last Words have a cult following in the upper midwest but are practically unknown beyond this region. This 7" should open up the eyes of thrash fans world wide to their awesome power. The songs on this 7" are the best from their demo and some new tracks all recorded by Tim Mac and produced with his trademark crunch. (Mac recorded Damage Deposit and Holding On as well) Critical Colin who did double duty in Damage Deposit provides some great artwork on the front and back cover. Lyrically Any Last Words are a sincere and thoughtful band with current political commentary while still being incredibly pissed off at everything. ALW takes on GW Bush and his war, emo, work, fashioncore and society and still finds time to contribute the uproarious song "I wish I could skate". Critical Twin Cities Hardcore!
Sadly, Any Last Words broke up after recording another demo.

ARTORTURED/CRISIS REBIRTH [Riotous Assembly]
Hardcore-Metal with some heavy breakdowns paired with raw and harsh Grindcore.

ASSEMBLY OF GOD "SUBMISSION OBEDIENCE DENIAL" [Havoc]
Assembly of God was a hardcore punk band from Oklahoma (none of the members lived in the same city, they all met in Oklahoma city to practice). Chad from Brother Inferior sang and played guitar, with the Drummer of Burnpile and the Bassist of Subsanity. Burnpile being a fast SEHC band, Subsanity a grind band and Brother Inferior a punk/hc band you can see that there are several different musical influences coming together on this release. That said, I would liken the sound mostly to the last Brother Inferior material, which was much faster and more aggressive than the earlier more anthemic stuff. Assembly of God recorded this 7" and some comp tracks and sadly, broke up. They only played a few out of town shows, one of which was Thrash Fest 2. Chad went on to form the Levelling which took things into an even faster realm. As with all of Chad’s projects you can see that much thought was put into the lyrics. Chad has always approached issues from a very punk working man’s perspective. His no nonsense point of view makes for lyrics that hit the nail on the head every time.

AUTHORITY ABUSE / KAKISTOCRACY [self release]
Authority Abuse is about fast fucking balls out old school hardcore thrash punk? Less thrashy though and more old-school hardcore.
Kakistocracy is harsh crusty hardcore that reminds me of the very early Neurosis, Christ On Parade and Nausea. Really cool!

BROTHER INFERIOR/NONE OF THE ABOVE SPLIT 7" EP [Havoc]
Anyone who knows me is aware that I don’t really care for split records (despite the fact Destroy was on two) but this split was sort of a natural. Tulsa Oklahoma has produced two excellent hardcore punk bands in the last 20 years and here they are on one record. None of the Above were one of my favorite bands in the 80’s powerful hardcore that was very catchy and lyrics any working class punk kid could relate to first hand. The songs here show a more matured NOTA who have mellowed somewhat but still are very catchy. NOTA put out an LP on Rabid Cat around ’84 that is a hardcore classic. There was also the Moscow 7" and Toy Soldiers 7" from the same time period. NOTA’s reunion period saw the release of this 7" as well as the HellHole EP and Give ’Em Enough Dope CD, which includes a killer live set. Prank Records also re issued the Live at the Crystal Pistol cassette on vinyl NOTA have since broken up again. It’s most unfortunate the the 1985 LP and both original 7"s are still out of print due to contractual reasons. NOTA is one of the very best bands of the 80’s and I will put cash money on the table any day to re issue these classic gems. Until then, dub or download the 1985 LP if you can, crucial!
Brother Inferior caught my attention with their Blasphemy and Treason and Bound and Gagged EP’s both on their own Sensual Underground Ministries label. Brother Inferior play hardcore punk which is powerful and melodic reminding me of old Youth Brigade and other classic Cali bands of the early 80’s. I hate to categorize them though because their sound is their own and you can hear the thrash and street punk influences present in their music as well. Brother Inferior released their own LP on Sensual Underground and it has sold very well. Brother Inferior toured Europe in 1999 and released a tour 7" as well as a split 7" with Whorehouse of Representatives and the outstanding "Six More Reasons" 7". Brother Inferior broke up in 2000. Chad sang and and played guitar in Assembly of God and is now in the Leveling.

BURNING THE PROSPECT / SILENCE (Acclaim)
These new songs of Poland’s SILENCE may be called their best stuff. We think that they are the most melodious and have an emotional element in the great bands under the influenced of a lot of Tragedy/From Ashes Rise around the world (but it is a range which we know). And a crushing rhythm that raises it further is also powerful. The vocalist is powerful too, and the lyrics have treated a political theme of "standardization of earth and mass". Two songs in all. Amazing. While Britain’s BURNING THE PROSPECT that has split up already unfortunately collects three songs recorded by Bri Doom at the Bradford’s autonomous space "1 in 12 club". They are dark and heavy crust hardcore-punk with a harsh Swedish sound, and the Bri’s work also fit in splendidly and is finished in the very ferocious sound. "Arise! a new age is upon us"

CHAROGNEXSTONE [emergence]
Yeah!! This is the first EP of this glorious local heros! CHAROGNE STONE is a band from La Machine (France) and play crazy and fast crustcore with powerviolence touch! Imagine SPAZZ, the old NAPALM DEATH, a punk version of BRUTAL TRUTH, MONSTER X, PHOBIA... You can’t stop rock’n’roll baby!

CLUSTERBOMBUNIT "AND THE DIRTY LITTLE WEAPONS" 7’ [Havoc]
From Stuttgart, Germany, Clusterbombunit plays brutal Dis-core which reminds me a lot of Discharge’s Why? 12" with maybe more added crunch and brutality. The lyrics are bleak and desperate to match the muisc, dealing with the insanity of war and oppression. CBU have a 7" and 10" on Thought Crime Records from Berlin and a long out of print split flexi with Resist, a split 7" with Disclose, a US tour ep and a split 7" with RAGG. They have done European and US tours. This 7" was recorded in 1997 for Pushead’s label and finally saw the light of day on Havoc. CBU is one of my absolute favorite bands of the 90’s and probably the best band I saw live in Europe on tour in 1999 (well, tied with DS 13). CBU released a new LP on Tribal War Asia in the summer of 2001, and the Last Band Standing EP in 2003. Clusterbombunit is one of those bands that no one is on the fence about. Those who like this band are really into them, the intensity, power and brutality of it all. Everyone else, just doesn’t get it. If you can dub or download the 10"especially, check it out.SOLD OUT!!!

CODE 13 "DOOMED SOCIETY" 7’ [Havoc]
After Destroy broke up I hooked up with Tattoo Shane and Trevor Trend and began jamming with a series of Drummers. We put up an ad at Extreme Noise and attracted Criminal Shane on Drums. Code 13 was an attempt on my part to move past the grind and metal influence on Destroy back to a more old school hardcore sound. Still, Code 13 is not a retro-80’s band by any respect, although the 80’s influence is there, many of our songs clock in at speeds undreamed of in ’82. Code 13’s music is hard for me to describe because we mix several different styles. I’m not saying we’re particularly original or groundbreaking, but our music was far from generic as well. Simply put, we didn’t all listen to just one style of music so our playing wasn’t rigidly influenced by one style either. We mixed sing-a-long 80’s hardcore like early 7 Seconds and Youth Brigade with fast-core like Drop Dead and a touch of early DRI, Straight Edge Hardcore, Swedish HC/ Japanese Thrash, 80’s Anarcho-punk and some grind/Powerviolence for a fast and powerful punk sound. Lyrically I’d have to say the individual versus society and issues of social control predominate. The name Code 13 comes from the police radio code for "officer down" and as you can guess our lyrics were heavily anti-police and authority. For a while four out of five of our shows were broken up by the man, but hardcore survives on the underground and so did we. At the time I felt like the hardcore/punk scene was too complacent and needed some really radical thrashing punk to bring band the anger and energy. I went out of my way to write radical, aggressive lyrics to go with the music. We stirred up no small controvery, posing with automatic weapons and singing about shooting cops. One anarchist squat in Paris actually wouldn’t let us play because we were "too militant" I knew we were doing something right then.SOLD OUT!!!

CODE 13 "THEY MADE A WASTELAND AND CALLED IT PEACE" 7 [Havoc]
Coming hot on the heels of the Doomed Society EP They Made a Wasteland is sort of a State of the Scene Address from the hardcore underground. A breathless report from the front as hardcore experienced a massive explosion of popularity and renewed interest as well as an assault of commercialism and regressive attitudes. Larger political issues to a back seat to confronting poseurs, sell-outs and religious extremists trying to corrupt the true spirit of hardcore. The line-up is the same as the first 7" although we had two different second guitar players around this time neither stuck with us. Musically very similar to the first 7" fast paced straight ahead hardcore with a variety of influences. Hardcore for the Kids and Shady Acres are downright melodic in the old California 80’s style while Armed to the Teeth is total grindcore and the rest are punk thrashers.SOLD OUT!!!

DAMAGE DEPOSIT "DO DAMAGE" 7’ [Havoc]
Midwest DIY hardcore, with members of Code 13, Any Last Words, Sweet Jap, Encroach, Miles Ahead and lots other bands you’ve never heard. Damage Deposit plays critical thrash with sick breakdowns. Frequently compared to DYS mixed with contemporary bands like Tear It Up and Shark Attack. Lyrically this record takes on issues in the contemporary scene, political corruption and the destruction of the environment.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT "STRAIGHT TO THE BOTTOM" 7’ [Havoc]
Second ep from these Twin Cities new Hardcore insurgents. 8 tracks of positively charged aggressive Hardcore thrash. Musically similar to bands like Tear It Up, No Time Left, Infest, or Shark Attack. Lyrics deal with political corruption, all ages shows, dancefloor injustice, and the erosion of the rights of the individual in the face of corporate globalization. Features extremely sick artwork by Critical Colin and Bill Hauser.
Damage Deposit toured in the summer of 2004, played farwell shows in Winnipeg and Minneapolis and split up. Critical Colin now plays drums in Formaldehyde Junkies, Nic Attack is in Listen Up, and Ben Crew has a new project The Dive Bomb Honey and is still doing 1-2 Go Crew and is playing hardcore again in In Defence.

DISCHANGE/ EXCREMENT OF WAR [Finn]
Having a band with Dis- in the name is clear what you should expect. DISCHANGE’s side is as Discharge as it can get .D-beat riffs and singing style coming straight from the old good Discharge days. Nothing more nothing less but pure Discharge d-beat. EXCREMENT OF WAR have a d-beat hardcore feeling reminding Doom. Fast rhythms, shouting gruff vocals and Stick (Doom, Extreme Noise Terror etc) beats the drums the way he knows. Fuckin Ace!

DOWN TO AGONY "Requiem Por un Mundo Enferno" [Acclaim]
"The brand new 4 songs 7" from the Spanish powerful & crushing Neo-Crust hardcore-punk band who recorded after the first LP "No-Vida". This band is a sound that mixed His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy and Fear Is The Path To The Darkside but they’ve their own "darkness". And, the vocalist who does scream in tragic voice expresses misery and death of ourselves invented by this sick world. But in their words, there’s a conviction to the reality of our own desires to the last. That is, this one is a just "Requiem por un mundo enfermo (Requiem for a sick world)" as told by the record’s title. We (A)cclaim Collective didn’t know this band at all until there’s contact from them. But we felt that our and their standpoint and purpose were the same, so we decided to participate in this co-release. because they have said like this?"we still live, we still burn, we still love". Great artwork. "

KAAOS "NUKKE" 7’ [Havoc]
Finland had one of the best hardcore scene’s in the world in 80’s. Taking their inspiration from UK bands like Discharge, Disorder and Chaos UK the Finnish band produced a pretty unique and aggressive style of hardcore. Kaaos was one of the best bands from this period. They released a split 7" with the Cadgers, an LP, a 7" and a split LP with Terveet Kadet. Hailing from Tampere (Finland’s second largest city) Kaaos included members of Riistetyt, the Bastards, Varaus, Protesti, Kuolleet Kukat, and Kohu-63. Singer Jakke is still going strong in Positive Negative. This 7" was recorded in 1985 and originally released by Fight Records of Tampere, Finland in the early 90’s. Havoc has licensed it for international release as part of an ongoing collaboration with Fight Records to re-release unheard classic Finnish hardcore.SOLD OUT!!!

KAKISTOCRACY "And so you spill your Childrens Blood" [Arson]
Kakistocracy are back at it again. This time blasting out six, count ’em six, blasts of anarcho-punk/hardcore.

LACERATED "S/T" [self release]
4 tracks of Swedish hardcore sort of like Accursed. This one is a rager!

LAST MINUTE/MORTAL COMBAT [Thrash Steady Syndicate]
LAST MINUTE ,Socially aware female fronted furious old school hardcore from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hard hitting and undoubtly vehement spitting in the face of sexual/social crisis. MORTAL COMBAT, Blazing manic hardcore thrash at breakneck hyper speed akin to Charles Bronson from Yogjakarta, Indonesia. Fuckin crazy in their live sets, this recording will floor you as much as it did us!!!

MEMENTO MORI "S/T" [Agipunk]
Ex-Confusione, fast and furious Torino HC, very well played and structured. Outstanding lyrics as well.

MENTALLY PARASITES/TESTIMONY [Epidemie]
Awesome HC-grind from Mentally Parasites, precision HC thrash from TESTIMONY.

MOB 47 "1984 EP (KARNVAPEN ATTACK)" 7’ [Havoc]
At long last an official re issue of this most classic Swedish hardcore 7". Mob 47 took the anger and intensity of early 80’s Swedish hardcore and injected it with the speed and high energy of American Thrash. The result is some of the most powerful hardcore of the early 1980s. Recorded in 1984 these 8 tracks, one of which appeared on the PEACE comp, sent a shockwave through the world of hardcore. Powerful, fast and angry hardcore from some amped up young Swedes. This record has been bootlegged and re issued several times in different forms, but it’s my intention to re produce the record as close to the way it dropped back in the 80’s. The packaging is almost the same as the original except we’ve added a bunch of never before seen photos on the back of the insert.
Mob 47’s lyrics are the product of the cold war era and the shadow of nuclear war that hung over the 80’s. While the cold war might be over, the cry for social change and protest against oppression of songs like "Ingen Framtid" (without freedom) and "Polisstat" (Police State) ring just as true today. And we can’t disagree with the sentiments of a song like "Det Är Upp Till Oss" (It’s up to us). Perhaps these are sentiments borne of youthful idealism, but the 20 plus years since this records release shows that there is no shortage of war and injustice in the world to provoke outrage. This record has been highly influential in the world of hardcore from crust, to grind to thrash.
Mob 47 have been playing gigs again and we hope to bring them to the USA to play some time in the future. Also looking into releasing more Mob 47 material soon, their new tracks rip just as hard as the classics. You can check out Mob 47’s website at http://www.mob47.se for more up to date info. I’m not too crazy about Myspace, but there are some new tracks and videos posted on there as well.
Incidentally, this is the 47th 7" release on Havoc.SOLD OUT!!!

MODERAT LIKVIDATION "MARIONETT I KEDJOR" 7’ [Havoc]
Important notice: We screwed up the catalog numbers on the Moderat Likvidation 7"s-The tracks for NITAD wound up on Marionett I Kedjor and the Marionett I Kedjor tracks are on the Nitad ep. The songs and track order are correct, just that the center labels don’t match the music. We think it would cause more confusion to switch the vinyl since the labels don’t match, so if you order this EP you actually get the Nitad tracks. We assumed most people are ordering all three so if you like you can swap the vinyl yourself.
Originally recorded and released as a demo tape in 1983 these songs have been re mastered from the original tapes. More original 1983 raw Swedish hardcore punk from the original ragers. This was a lot of material to fit onto a 7", but still sounds quite good considering it’s source.SOLD OUT!!!

Originally released by the band in 1983, this is a classic of early 80’s Swedish Hardcore Punk. Like their contemporaries Anti Cimex and Shitlickers, Moderat Likvidation took the sound of bands like Discharge, Disorder and Chaos UK to the complete next level with a faster, more aggressive attack. Often imitated, this is the original in your face sound of 1980s Swedish raw punks!SOLD OUT!!!

MODERAT LIKVIDATION "KOTTAHUVE" 7’ [Havoc]
Recorded in 1983 by the Swedish Public Service Radio, this was originally released as a cassette in the 80’s. More raw, fast and powerful Swedish punk all remastered from the original master tapes.SOLD OUT!!!

MURDERERS "S/T" 7’ [Havoc]
Totally chaotic Punk/HC in the Disorder, Bad Posture tradition. At the heart of the Murderers is the legendary Bob Murderer who has kept versions of this band going since the early 80’s. One incarnation backed GG Allin for a while. Bob also played in the Vampire Lesbos and many other bands in the 80’s. Moving to Minnesota Bob got a new line up together and recorded these songs, some new, some from the mid 80’s. Totally irreverent drunk drugged chaos punk with a ton of energy and power. This 7" is a blast of pure chaos. The Murderers lineup changed several times. Sid From Misery took over on drums when Mitch Useless left to play in Servitude and later Code 13. The Murderers sound changed somewhat later on. Their subsequent recordings sounded more like the US Bombs or Sex Pistols. But this 7" is pure, hate filled hardcore punk. The Murderers released a split 12" picture disk with the Jerkoffs on Beer City in 1999. They played a final show and broke up in 2000. Rumors continue about a reunion. Dennis of the Murderers is now in A Bomb Nation with Trevor of Code 13. SOLD OUT!!!
