Current mood:  jolly

Hello.

We'd like to give warm thanks to all who came to our shows this year - your audience skills have us in toothy grins, and are noted and always appreciated.

A bunch of new songs have been committed to rehearsals and it seems a new new record is well underway. Early odds for a slab of flatwound fuzz-pop are 2/1. More news on that soon though.

Before the decade slips away, we're looking forward to a few more shows in and around our icy coast:

27th Dec - Edinburgh - Sneaky Pete's - w/ Dropkick -Tickets Here

28th Dec - Dundee - Duke's Corner - w/ The Strangers Almanac - Tickets Here

31st Dec - Perth Concert Hall - w/ The Treacherous Orchestra - Tickets Here

Hope you can make it along to one of them.

Have a stout festive period,

tHJx

We'd like to express our gratitude to each and every one of you who came along to the show at Fat Sams on Friday; a great evening all round. A hefty thank you also to Rush Hour Soul who were excellent and to Kaput, who would bring a tear to a cloth eye... in a good way. Two wonderful bands with lovely folk in.

Tune your big old plasma screens to Sky 168 or Freesat 110 this Wednesday, 11th February, at 10pm and you're likely to see us performing on BBC Alba's 'Rapal'. BBC Alba is a new, healthy and often handsome TV channel who's Gaelic programmes are almost all made in Scotland. BBC Alba will be repeating the show on Friday 13th February at 11pm and on Saturday 14th at 7.30pm.

Also, we're glad to say we have a few more dates to look forward to this month, including opening for Snow Patrol at Glasgow's SECC on the 25th!

Hope you can make it along to one of them.

Hello friends, welcome to the end of the year...

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, we're still developing our appetite for 'blogging'. To the delightful and receptive who came and spent their time with us over the summer at V Festival, Oxegen and T in the Park (especially the latter); we were gleeful all the way to County Kildare. To the generous, helping 'New York' reach the Indie Charts in May; more new jams shortly. Benevolent folk of Palma; the turnout was hugely flattering...and your olives are addictive. Shout out to the Andreus! The brains behind our firework-accompanied finale on Lunan Beach; quite absurd and quite amazing. To the drowsy orthopaedist, despite the absence of a cast, the break seems to have healed true. To the forgotten, who's paths we've crossed this year; hello again, we hope you're well.

We'll have plans and news at the beginning of the new year, we look forward to sharing them with you.

Until then, have a pleasant December…

Why does it always end up being a complete nightmare trying to post anything here? Anyway...

Many thanks to all of you who went out and bought the new single. With your help 'New York' reached number 16 in the Independent Singles Chart during its week of release - much appreciated. Those of you who have yet to order your copy of the 7", we highly recommend Norman Records.

In other news, we're very pleased to announce we'll be playing a bunch of festivals during the course of the summer, including T In The Park, Oxegen in Ireland and V Festival down south. Check out the stages and times on our page!

"There's a bit of a Strokes-ish vibe going on here with the chugging guitars and sharp drum rhythm. Simple, upbeat pop that puts a smile on your face" - Piccadilly Records
Pre-order your copy of the 7" vinyl here. Download link coming soon.
See you at one of the shows (or instores) in May...
Also, look out for the New York promo video!

May 19th 2008 will see the release of 'New York', the first single from our brand new record. The release will be available on limited edition 7" vinyl and also as a download, with both formats featuring an exclusive b-side.

As you can see, we have a UK tour confirmed for May, including some instore performances that will be taking place during the week of release. We hope you can make it along. All we need now is for 'someone's' fractured wrist to heal.....sorry Aberdeen!

More soon,

Just a quick note about the show on December 8th at the City Function Suite. We're delighted to be playing with two of the best bands to come out of Dundee in a long time, Alamos and Avast! . Both are incredible live acts so make sure you come down in time to check them out. We'll also be spinning some vinyl once the bands are done, so it should be a fun night all round.
Secondly, we are featured in the new issue of NY-based magazine The Big Takeover. Anyone bemoaning the state of the music press in this country should check the magazine out, it is a great read. We're in there between Saturday Looks Good To Me and Mary Weiss. Lovely stuff.
Stay tuned for more live dates and new songs...
