April 9, 2009 - Thursday
April 7th, 2009 is a day that will forever stay with me. Unfortunately. Since I got hurt there have been a few times that I have thought about what I would do if I were in the house by myself and god forbid there was a fire or something and I had to get out. I thought about if I would be able to get out myself? What if someone else in the house needed help getting out and what help would I be to them or would I be more of a hindrance? Could I get my dog out? What about all the things I would want to grab and could I? All of those things scare me a bit and honestly make me feel pretty vulnerable. I mean I know anybody in that situation would be vulnerable, but being a little less able can put you in some precarious situations. Yesterday was a somewhat different kind of scary and something that I hadn’t put too much thought into. Until now.

My best buddy Aaron and I had planned a bike ride and were both happy to get back on our bikes after a handful of days off. He did me a huge favor by driving down to me since I had just driven home from Palm Springs and was still practically unpacking.
I knew we were going to ride the River Trail, but just had to sort out where we were going to take-off from. After a quick discussion we figured starting off at Kraemer and the 91-freeway riding towards the beach would be good. We got off to a bit of a late start, but got there around 2:30pm and started to get ready. We parked in a really small strip mall right next to a veterinarian’s office that my mom and I had parked in before when we had gone for a ride. We were in an accessible parking spot and there were only two other cars in the entire lot. While Aaron and I were getting ready the veterinarian’s wife came out to talk to us. She had chatted briefly to my mom and I last time as well. She was really nice and asked how I got hurt and she told me that she knew I would do it and that I would be fine. We talked for about 10 minutes and then Aaron and I left for our ride.
We ended up doing 20 miles and had a decent tailwind on the way home, which is always nice. I knew at about the 15-mile mark that I needed to use the restroom so I just stayed focused until we got back to Aaron’s van. Once we got there it took a few minutes to get the van open, get my wheelchair out and to have Aaron help me out of my handcycle. I got out and started trying to figure out what my plan of action was going to be. So I rolled into the veterinarian’s office to ask if I might be able to use their restroom. When I rolled in I couldn’t see anyone over the countertop and there wasn’t anybody in the office. I waited a minute thinking someone might walk out of the back, but nobody did. There was a restroom right in the lobby and as it turned out it was really big and easy for me to use. So I was in there for a minute or so and when I came out there was a man standing right at the door and this is how the next approximately 5 minutes went….(I know the grammar isn’t quite on par, but I know you’ll get it)

Man: Immediately he started yelling at me telling me that, “this wasn’t a public bathroom and that I couldn’t just go in and use it!”

Me: I explained to him very calmly that, “I was sorry and that I was looking around to ask if I could use it, but there wasn’t anybody around to ask.”

Man: He kept yelling saying, “it wasn’t for just anybody and I can’t just come in off the street using it!”

Me: I told him that, “I wasn’t just some bum walking off the street and that I wasn’t going to graffiti the place up, but that it wasn’t that easy for me to find a restroom and that if I had waited any longer it could have made me really sick.

- As he kept yelling at me I just rolled out the door because clearly what I was saying was not getting through to him. I rolled down to the van and he followed me outside raising his voice.

Me: I asked “how he knew I wasn’t a customer and what if I actually did bring my dog to that veterinarian’s office?”

Man: He got quiet for just a minute realizing that he maybe had been yelling at a customer the whole time and then he looked at me and called me a “four-legged motherfucker!”

A four-legged motherfucker! I couldn’t believe what he had just said to me. I was maybe about 5-8 feet away from him and when he said that to me I rolled back towards him and asked him what he said and when I asked him to repeat it he cocked his left leg back and he kicked me. He hauled off and punted me in the shin of my right leg. Let me repeat this. This man kicked me!! It was so hard that I rolled back a couple feet. This grown man probably in his mid-40’s not only kicked someone, but a woman in a wheelchair because I used a restroom.
Aaron saw the whole thing, but unfortunately couldn’t do much about it other than tell the guy to stop. After he kicked me he kind of retreated and went back into the vet hospital and I looked at Aaron like, “did that just happen?” I picked up my phone and called the police and I remember thinking during that entire conversation with 911 how absolutely helpless I felt. I mean this man just fully assaulted me and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it. Many of you that read this know me personally and many of you don’t, but let me tell you that if this were before my accident I wouldn’t take any shit from anybody. I mean I don’t take shit from anybody now however there is a big difference in being able to protect yourself and just sitting there while someone beats up on you. The feeling I had was one of the worst feelings I have ever felt.
I was on the phone with 911 when I heard a car door shut. I rolled up and saw that the man had got in his little while Mazda and started to drive off. I tried to get his license plate, but couldn’t read of from where I was. The cops finally came and took a statement from both Aaron and I and they also went in and talked to the owner. They were able to pull up a picture of him and I confirmed that that’s who it was. I told the officer that I wanted to make a private persons arrest so I did everything I was supposed to do meanwhile still in shock that this guy fully kicked me and broke the skin.
The officer had to drive to the guys’ house to see if he was there and if he was then he would call me and we’d drive over to confirm that that was the guy in person. Hours later Aaron and I were waiting in the same parking lot waiting and the owner/vet walked out. He stopped to talk to us and he let us know that he not only sent the guy home, but he fired him on the spot. He didn’t want someone like that working for him. While that did make me feel good that he took the right course of action in firing someone as mentally unstable as that I was still very angry. We talked to the owner for just a bit and he let us know that we were more than welcome to park there and use his restroom when we needed to, which was nice of him.
Right after he left we got a phone call to meet the officer, which we did. I identified the guy and will take his ass to court. He told the officer that he is going to fight it. You know what buddy…BRING IT!! I will never let you make me feel like that EVER again!!

So that was yesterday and yeah I’ve thought about it quite a bit. As much as I tried to not let it get under my skin it did, but it won’t for long. I’m too damn strong to let that little man bother me anymore.

Okay I want to address the fact that I was not wearing a helmet in any of those "Hell Ride 09'" videos and pics. Here is the reason....

"yeah i figured i would have to address the helmet question. basically i am borrowing a handcycle right now the pad that i have to sit on comes up behind my head and flares out behind my neck. well it doesn't fit me so when i wear a helmet it not only chokes me, but i have to hold my head up the entire ride instead of letting it rest. i wasn't about to do that for 50 miles on a bike path! i am however working on getting a new neck pad so i can wear a helmet."

I want to make it clear that I have always ridden with a helmet and it is extremely important to do so. I just knew that I wasn't going to be able to pull off a ride that long while holding my head forward. I knew we were going to be on the bike path so cars would not be an issue. So anyway I hope that clears some things up.

In other news I just got home from racing the Redlands Time Trial and can I just say that it was retardedly steep! I mean when it wasn't a 16% grade it was either 11% or a false flat. Good freakin' times!! So my first time out I finished in 2nd place so not too bad. I of course wanted to win, but next time. The woman that won (Monica) was super cool and super fast. Her time was the 5th fastest of ALL the handcycles. Men included!! She finished in 24 minutes and I came in at 34 minutes. She killed it basically. It was crazy too because her bike was totally different than mine. As you can see in those "Hell Ride" pics I am really laid back and aerodynamic, which wasn't really helping me out any while climbing. But she was sitting up and way forward and pushing down on her cranks. She was seriously hauling ass. On the second climb I could hear someone coming up on me (she started 1 minute behind me) like she had a disc wheel on...that's how much faster she was going. She flew by me and my jaw hit the ground. Hmmm...maybe that's what was dragging!! Hehe. Anyway, once she went by I tried to keep her pace and I did for just a bit. And when I say bit I mean like 3 seconds. LOL! Anyway, after that I just tried to get in the right gear and pace it out. The last couple hills were just soo hard. Some of the guys right in front of me were traversing them. Not me man! I hit it straight up! There will be no traversing for me. ;)

I came across the line and my arms just felt like they were gonna explode. It was crazy though because I wasn't breathing hard throughout the race. I mean when I saw my mom while I was climbing the second to last climb I was talking to her while she was walking next to me. YEAH...WALKING next to me. That is somewhat demoralizing. So I just need to get my arms even stronger I guess.

I want to thank CAF (www.challengedathletes.org) , Team Possabilities (www.teampossabilities.org) , my mom for being my mechanic and feed zone (hehe) , Giant Bicycles (www.giantbicycles.com) , Giant for Women (www.giantforwomen.com) , Shimano (www.shimano.com) , Troy Lee Designs (www.troyleedesigns.com) , Michelin (www.michelin.com) , Smith (www.smithoptics.com) , and the guys and girls at Two Wheeler Dealer in Brea for helping mount my new Garmin and just always helping me out (www.twowheelerdealer.com). Also, thanks again to Ricky for letting me use his bike and to David for doing some riding with me. And of course to Els for lugging my bike in and out of the car numerous times and letting me drag her on rides. :)

I wish I could have raced the whole weekend. There is a road race and a crit, but I am off to Santa Cruz tomorrow to visit some friends and meet with everyone from the Perfect Pushup www.perfectpushup.com. I'll be taking my, well Ricky's bike with me so I can get some miles in so that'll be good.

Okay, well I've got to go pack and then meet up with my friend Sergio tonight so we can get my new t-shirt design down on paper and then get it to Dave over at Hot Shoppe so we can hopefully get them done for Sea Otter. Busy busy as always! Oh and I also just got an email from Patrick at Giant and he let me know that my "Hell Ride 09'" story is on the Bicycle Retailer site. It's on the bottom left. Here's the link..www.bicycleretailer.com.

Cheers!

What the hell am I doing up is what I want to know!! It's 11:15pm and I've got to be up at 4:30am for the Redlands Time Trial. I'm a kook and missed the meeting tonight so I have no idea what the course looks like. All I know is that it's supposed to be 5k long at a 16% grade. Good freakin' times!! So I want to get there early enough before they close the roads to hurry up and drive it. Dontcha' just love the night before a race. How stuff is always last minute, blah, blah, blah. Haha!!

Anyway, I'll try to let you all know how it went. Wish me luck! I have no idea how I'll do and if I'll have enough gearing. Yikes! Nah...no worries. I'll be fine.

Cheers!

March 24, 2009 - Tuesday
Holy moses this past weekend was a bit nutty! Let me start off by telling you about the freakin' awesome concert Elladee and I went to Saturday night. It was a Missy Higgins (www.missyhiggins.com ) concert, but a couple other artists were going to be performing that I had never heard of. Justin Nozuka (www.justinnozuka.com ) and Lenka ( www.lenkamusic.com ) and they were both super amazing! We were soo stoked on the entire concert and if you're into their kind of music I would for sure check them out.

Okay so anyway we watched the concert and then we were going to hangout afterward to meet Missy. My friend Claire had been to two of her concerts and waited about 30-40 min. after and apparently Missy was super cool and talked to her for quite a bit. Well I ended parking about 20 feet from her tour bus when we got there so after we cruised back and waited. And waited. And waited. A guy came over and asked who we were there to see. So we told him and he said he'd be sure to bring her over to us. We were stoked!! We did happen to notice we were the only ones out there, which was strange. Hmmm. So 30 min. went by then an hour, and then an hour and a half. We kind of didn't notice the time cuz' we were taking silly pics passing the time having fun, and watching a bunch of drunk chicks stumble out with drunk guy and proceed to back up into a little valet hut. Then the guy that backed up into it rolls the window down and like a dumbass says, "When did they put that there?" HAHA!! When the parking lot went in you idiot! HAHA! Okay back to my story. So then the other artists and the bands started coming out and we gave it another "hmmmm". When her tour bus started up and began driving away we just started laughing and were like, "What the hell!!!" So that guy came over and said, "Ummm...I"m sorry, but she went out the front like an hour ago." We just thought it was soo funny, but Justin Nozuka walked over and was super cool. So we took some pics with him and he chatted to Els a bit because they are both from Canada, eh! Good times..good times!

So because of our epic wait for Missy we didn't get back to my place till' like 3am and we had to be up at 7:30am to go for a 50 mile ride with David. UGH!!! I swear when that alarm went off my eyes were glued shut and I couldn't even move. So we waited till' 8:00 rolled around and knew we had to make a move. So we actually leave on time and were supposed to meet at 10:00am. Oh and the whole time we were getting ready it was raining, which we knew it was supposed to but it would really start to pour at times and we would just look at each other like holy crap! So at 9:48am I get a voicemail from David saying that he was bailing on the ride because it was raining pretty hard where he was and I was PISSED to say the least. I pull off the freeway and call him and basically gave him shit for calling me 10 minutes till. So I told him it wasn't raining (which it wasn't where we were) and that there were patches of sun (i'm sure there were somewhere in the continental US) on the drive there. I finally convinced him to come so we were good to go. HAAA!!

We met up at Green River in Corona and were going to ride to the beach and back, but who knew there was going to be a tsunami in Orange County. When we started the ride it was a bit chilly, but the rain had stopped and the sun was actually coming out. At about the halfway mark, which is the Honda Center (not like any of you will know where that is!) we took off a layer and had a little snack. Once we took off from there the wind started to pick up. The closer we got to the beach the wind picked up more and more. And let me just say that when I say picked up I mean from like 10 miles an hour to about 20 and then it just got f'n ridiculous!!! I mean there were these patches of sand and it was blowing so hard that I got a freakin' facial for free!! My front wheel was blowing all over the place and it was all I could do to go 7-8 mph. I mean christ...birds weren't even out flying because they knew better!! David was just shaking his head telling me that it was retarded out. I think we saw maybe 10 other people the entire time on the path because nobody was as stupid as us. And it was hilarious because at the beginning of the ride Els, David, and myself were all chatty taking pictures and laughing and then when the wind hit we were all quiet and silently pissed off. LOL!!

I knew I needed to eat, but David said the beach was about 40 minutes away so I waited. Els was smart and ate her PB&J with about that much time before we got there. I ended up I think doing pretty well and was just having some issues coming back up the climbs because the wind would hit so hard when you had about 5-8 feet left of the climb that it was just gnarly and it didn't help that just about every time I'd go to shift I'd hit my brake at the same time. Ahhhhh!! I kept pushing on until we got there. The ride was about 30 miles and that 30 miles took us almost exactly 4 hours. 4 hours!! That 30 miles was like 50 miles as far as I'm concerned. I have pics and videos that I'm going to upload so you can see the crazyness of it. I mean ultimately of course I'm stoked I did it because that is the kind of weather that I will be facing in Kona if I make it. I took today off, but I'll be riding again tomorrow and then I have a time trial race in Redlands on Thursday that is 5k but at a 16% grade. That outta be a fun time. Hehe. I'll let you know how that goes.

In other news I want to apologize, which I feel that I'm always doing when it comes to the messages but I have not got back to like a zillion people and I'm sorry about that. I have SOOO many messages and I just haven't had the time to return them so I want to say I'm sorry for that and I'll do my best on getting back to you. It may take until 2010, but I'll do it dang it! :)

Also, I called my www.tarallanesroadtorecovery.com website guy and got the issues fixed regarding ordering hoodies and t's so thank you all for waiting. Please send me a message if you still see the problem. And hopefully I'll get back to you by 2010. Kidding!!

K, it's way late again and I still want to try and upload some pics/vids so hope you all had a good weekend and cheers!

March 20, 2009 - Friday
So last night I drove out to Costa Mesa for a Women's Night at Two Wheels One Planet www.twowheelsoneplanet.com and it was awesome! A bunch of really cool women came out and had a little wine and cheese before we got started. Will the owner of the shop has sort of updated things inside and now has a women's section of bikes and clothing and the shop looks great. They've got a full line up of both mens and women's bike road and mountain and probably every part imaginable!

Anyway, the night went really well and I think all the women were happy they came and maybe met a few other women that they can go on rides with. I LOVE that! Just having women be stoked on riding and going out and shredding it! So I want to thank all of them for coming and checking out the line up of women's bikes. You can also check them out at www.giantforwomen.com. And thanks to everyone at the bike shop for being so cool. I used to drop by Will's shop when I was racing to snag some bike boxes for when I traveled so it was kinda cool to go back and meet all of them again.

I also wanted to address my www.tarallanesroadtorecovery.com site issue. I know that when you try to buy a hoodie or t-shirt or anything it shown some kind of certificate of authenticity or something. I called my website guy and it should be fixed in the next few days. I'm sorry about that, but thank you all for letting me know.

Another thing that I don't think I mentioned was that I am now a proud spokeswoman for the Perfect Pushup. www.theperfectpushup.com I don't know if you've heard of it, but I had awhile ago and actually thought it was a pretty cool concept. I hadn't ever used it, but they contacted me and asked if they could send me some product to try out. So they did and I took it to therapy to try and I just want to say that I loved it! Because I am using my wrist so much for everyday things like transfers, weight shifts, and not to mention therapy my wrists are worked and get REALLY sore. But when I used the perfect pushup I could last so much longer and therapy. I am really happy to be a spokeswoman for them and hope to be for years to come. They also have the perfect pullup and a mobile kit. It's a fairly simple design that works wonders! Who knows...you might just see me in an infomercial!! ;) They are based out of Marin, CA. so I'll be heading up there in a week to meet with them and discuss the future so I'll let you know how it goes.

Okay, I know there was something else that I wanted to tell you but now I forgot. I'll let you know when I remember. Haha! That's what you get when you hit your head as much as I have! K, I'm off for a ride. Elladee and I are going to head out for a couple hours and then I plan on going on a ride with David on Sunday for about 50 miles. Let's hope I make it! :)

Cheers!

March 18, 2009 - Wednesday
One word. Ironman. Or wait is that two? Whatever..either way there you have it. I am finally saying it out loud. I am going to try and qualify for the Ironman. I had kept it under wraps because I didn't want to jinx myself, but you know what I need ALL the support I can get. I had met up with my friend Ricky James months ago and his dad told me that no female in a chair has ever completed the Ironman in Kona, Hawaii let along win it so that pretty much made the decision for me. I want to not only finish the damn thing I want to win it!

I am very much at a time in my life that I need a goal and I figure this is a good one. Now there is A LOT of training and preparation involved and I have been talking to David Bailey a bunch and will be riding with him as well in order to get ready for this. David was hurt 22 years ago and had competed in the Ironman three times. He knows what it takes and knows where I need to be and by when. That is the biggest thing right now is that this is something I don't know anything about and don't know where exactly my progress should be and by when. He and I have talked about different races I need to be at so I have those in my sights. Right now I am just putting in base miles and have been doing 20-25 mile rides, but am uping that over the weekend when I ride with him. I think we'll do a 50 miler over the weekend and see how I do.

I started swimming as well, but unfortunately with an SCI (Spinal Cord Injury) comes issues. My mom got me a sweet pair of Nikes for Xmas. Well, I didn't feel it when they rubbed on the outside of the bone on my right foot. There was a little raw spot that was just healing up about 2-3 weeks ago when I decided to start swimming. Well, only after I had gone swimming a couple times did I realize the chlorine totally screwed with it and now it's way worse. I have this open sore about the size of a quarter and chances are it won't be healed for another couple of months. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do about that yet, but I'm hitting up the podiatrist aggressively to get it sorted out.

Besides that it's training full steam ahead and I am soo excited!! I also just got some good news from US Paraplegic Team. My best buddy Aaron Baker and I were invited to the Paralympic Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Funny...I was never invited when I raced mtn. bikes, but I am now! Weird how things work huh?! Anyway, Aaron and I will be able to put in some good training miles while we're there and learn a few things hopefully.

So you see I haven't been just sitting on the couch drinking beer stuffing potato chips down my throat...I have actually been doing things!! Haha!! Ahhh come on you knew I was up to something right?

Oh and if I can pull it off I will hopefully make it back up to Whistler to visit Elladee and do the whole sit-ski thing again. Thanks to Rob and Brian up there at Whistler Mountain I had a sick time and would love to do it again!!

Okay, well it's almost 1am and I have a full day of physio tomorrow so I'll write more later and also put some pics up. I know I've been sucking at that!! Oh and if I have time I'll get some of my new designs on some t's or hoodies and get a 2009 version out for my Road to Recovery. We still have some t's and hoodies left for those who haven't ordered them yet. :)

Cheers!

Oh my gawd...I haven't written since Feb. 20th! I've been going back and forth a bit to Vancouver and a lot has been happening, but what's new right? Hehe.

Okay well I'll write more, but I've gotta get going. I've got quite the busy day and it includes going on a ride with my mom for a couple hours. I'll try to not slack like this again! :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all of you that are there supporting me. I really can't thank you enough for the orders for t's and hoodies!! You help pay for my therapy and I just want to tell you how much it means to me!

I'll write more later. I hope everyone is having a great week!

I just received this email from Steve Boehmke yesterday and was shocked. I knew Brent a little bit and he was such a great guy with an amazing passion for mountain biking and keeping Bootleg Canyon alive. He will be missed.

Brent Thomson R.I.P.
Industry Legend Leaves - PayPal Donations Still Needed

Las Vegas, NV - February 18, 2009 - - Brent Thomson, Mountain Bike Industry Legend and Trail Master of Bootleg Canyon has lost his battle with complications from the Quadruple Bypass surgery he underwent in January.

While surgery went well and Brent was coherent and talking after recovery, a series of post-operative strokes took him back to the Intensive Care Unit where he eventually succumbed to complications from the surgery.

Brent's son Barret was at his side with relatives as his condition worsened. "Brent appreciated and was aware of all of the love and support that the mountain bike industry has shown through this difficult time" said Barret. "There's been an outpouring of emotion and support from all of his friends and the industry, and we're making plans for a memorial event to be held at Bootleg Canyon over St. Patrick's Day Weekend (March 14-15.)"

PayPal - Click Here to Donate, thanks...
Please Continue to Support Brent Through PayPal Donations
Barret can still use financial support as there are many loose ends to tie up. Please continue to support the cause by donating to the paypal account listed above.

Stay tuned for more information, and make plans to attend the memorial for Brent Thomson at Bootleg Canyon over the March 14-15th weekend.

Thanks Brent for all the good times. We'll miss you and think of you when we are out on the trails. Peace.

February 13, 2009 - Friday
WOW!! The last couple weeks have just been bananas and I love it! Okay, so I just got home from my first of many trips to Vancouver/Whistler, BC. I flew up there last week and my friend Elladee and her cousin Kim picked me up. I couldn’t believe it when my plane got in 20 min. early. That never happens! Anyway, so Els came in and got me and we started our drive up to Whistler. It took about an hour and a half to get up to the mountain where we checked into our sweet room with the best fireplace EVER! Girls you know what I’m talkin’ about. ☺ That night (Thursday) night we met up with another friend Chantal for some Sachi Sushi and it was sooo good. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. We made it an early night since we were getting up Friday morning at the crack o’ dawn to do a little sit-skiing.
Holy crap when that alarm went off I wanted to throw it against the wall! But I finally drug my butt out of bed since I take the longest. Oh and let me just say for the record that I used to take 15-20min. tops, but things are a little different now. Anyhoo…we get all geared up, grabbed a bagel, and got over to the office. We met up with Carol and Brian and Chris my instructors for the day. Brian was the main guy and it seemed like Chris was sort of learning the ropes. Honestly I kinda could have done without Chris since he stuck me in his prototype funky sled to get me from the gondola into the little hut where the sit-skis were. Basically the conversation on the way up the lift was equivalent to this. “Hey I’m Chris and I have this prototype sled that I’m workin’ on.” “Oh hey Chris nice to meet you. I’m the moron guinea pig that is gonna get in your silly sled and eat shit when you attempt to pull me on it!” Yup, that’s what happened. I could’ve killed the guy. Okay not really. But I really wanted to throw some snowballs at him. Luckily when I tipped back Brian caught me. Elladee really wanted to, but froze in terror. Lol!
Anyway, let’s cut to the chase. I got in the sit-ski and headed up the hill on the magic carpet ride next to the bunny slope. Brian was great with explaining what I needed to do and I think I picked it up pretty good. The best part was that Els and Kim were skiing next to me the whole time taking pics and videos. I had the biggest smile I swear! Around lunchtime we got in the gondola to go get some lunch at the top and to do the peak to peak gondola. It’s this 53 million dollar gondola that goes from the peak of Whistler Mountain to the peak of Blackcomb Mountain and it was sick. It was such an insanely beautiful day and I’ll post some piccies as soon as I get them from Els. Hint hint. So we skied down from the top once we got back and then did a few more bunny slopes and then called it a day. We had a party to go to that night so we needed our rest! Lol. I want to thank Rob McSkimming from Whistler for hooking me up with the sit-ski day. I had a great time and I really appreciate it!
We hung out in Whistler for another couple days and had a great time. I met some of the coolest chicks ever and met up with some that I hadn’t seen in years. I of course can’t wait to go back and who knows it might be a lot sooner than later. ☺ So keep an eye out for the new pics and videos. I’ll do my best at getting those up.
Ever since I got home it’s of course still been hectic. I finally went in to get my tattoo from Dejah last night and it came out awesome. It took about 3 hours and it was harder to sit in one spot that get the tat, but I got to watch 2 movies so not too shabby. It’s a bit sore today, but it’ll heal up.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention that when I got back from Vancouver there were 3 new hot of the press German VIEW magazines at my door. I did an interview with them a few weeks back and I had no that it wasn't a mtn. bike mag. It's a pretty mainstream mag I guess. I mean Johnny Depp and Amy Winehouse are on the cover so that's pretty sick and I have I think 6 pages in it. Suweeet!
Today I had therapy for 4 hours and I am SOO tired so I’m gonna have to cut the jokes short and get to bed. I have more therapy tomorrow and then am heading straight to Palm Springs for the Tour de Palm Springs where I am competing on Saturday in my first handcycle race. Here goes!!
Cheers!
