Hey guys, So finally I have something to show for myself in the way of videos...(I don't own a video camera so it can be tricky making this happen.) You can find them on my youtube channel by just searching my name OR watch them on my myspace profile. :)
One is from a recent full band show to give you a taste of not just what we're like live but what the album will be like. The other one is from some blessed stranger who caught a Christmas show of mine. He only caught the end of one of my songs, but as I always say, you can never get enough of Silent Night...you'll see. :)
Enjoy & feel free to leave comments. Becky

Hey guys, So this is Part 2 from the previous blog I wrote about recording a new full-band record. I go into the studio later this month and have an A-list roster of musicians and creative minds involved. I’m so excited and honored to get to work with such great people, many friends, to make the album I’ve always wanted to make...and consequently continue to pursue this God-given dream. So this is my shameless moment of asking for help... Yes, I am a broke musician and am solely funding this project which means at this point, I am severely out of funds and won’t be able to eat pretty soon. If you are able to help and would like to donate to the cause of this album out of the utter goodness of your heart, please click the Donate button below or from the main page. The goal is $9,400. Every penny or dollar counts, no matter how small it seems. And you’d have my eternal gratitude & possibly a hug (if you live nearby). :) Oh, and I have a few extras for you extra generous givers: $15+ donation: Advanced copy of the cd $25+ donation: Signed advanced copy of the cd plus some goodies like stickers & buttons $50+ donation: The previous plus the "Repercussions EP" $100+ donation: The previous plus a personal thank you on the cd ...anything in the 4-digits....well, we’ll talk. Your own house concert, a dinner, tears of joy...the list goes on. :) Thank you guys for being so supportive and encouraging me to continue what I do. It means more than you know. Becky

Hey guys,
So I guess this is my official announcement that I’m finally headed back into the studio this coming April to record a new record at Salim Nourallah’s studio! I’m so freakin’ excited. It’s not only gonna be a full band effort but my first full-length record. I’ve enlisted the help of some stellar musicians, some of whom happen to be great friends as well. Look out for the details soon.
And on a more serious note, I am looking for financial support/investors for this project. Please contact me if you are able to help...even the "smallest" amount is not too small. Thank you guys for supporting the music and sticking with me these past few years!
Becky :)

Thank you SO much to everyone who voted for me over the past few weeks in the ACL Fest contest! You guys are the greatest, truly! Alas, I did not make the top 100, BUT my rank was 103 and that ain't bad at all. :) If you didn't get to hear the new tune we've cut in the studio, you still can HERE! Enjoy!

So...the Dallas Morning News Quick Guide was kind enough to do a podcast interview with me this week. It's a short one with a live song and a sneak peek of what we've been working on in the studio. (Thanks Paul!) To listen go here and scroll down for me (pay no attention to the dates). :)

So this is funny. I took my good friend, Aaron's, advice and have really been trying to take the "non-glamourous" gigs. Basically, get out there and play anywhere you can during the week. So I signed myself up for Dallas' 95.3 The Range Songwriter Night at a saloon. My thought was, "Hey, if they like what they hear, maybe they'll play the music on the radio." I brought my guitar along, played 2 songs, and got hit on by a dancer we'll call Tony. Turns out, I entered myself in the 6th week of a 13-week competition where they pick a winner every week, those ppl play in the semi's, and 6 ppl are picked to play in the finals. The top 3 win good cash, and 1st place gets to play on the radio. So, um, I won! As the radio DJ quoted on stage, "We normally hate female singers but..." And this leads me to 3 points:
-I love saloons! -God's not through with me yet :) -I'm most thankful for guidance from a good friend -COME OUT to the semi's in about 4 weeks (I'll let you guys know when it is.)
Ok, that was 4, but really, who's counting....
UPDATE: SO I MADE THE FINALS! I'm really excited and honored. AND THIS MEANS this Monday, June 25 I'll be competing against a quagmire of country characters at the Copper Spur Saloon in Dallas (7-9pm). Good times all around. :)
