I'm offering a number of shirts for sale for the low price of just $10. The following designs are included:

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Isaac Newton invented calculus. Albert Einstein came up with the mathematical equation for relativity. Stephen Hawking adds up numbers all the time. Together, these science all-stars make up the "Faces of Math."

Sure, Pythagoras has his theorems and Johnny Algebra may have invented algebra, but who knows what those guys look like? Market research shows that people only recognize three men of science (four, if you count Bill Nye, the Science Guy).

This design is based on the popular "Faces of Meth" concept that formed in newspapers and TV news programs a few years back. It also calls to mind the popular "Faces of Death" series which still lingers on VHS tapes on dusty video store shelves to this day.

Printed on 100% cotton shirt from American Apparel on a lovely baby blue.

Looky! It's Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Engels, and Marx! Together at last and fighting for the workers right...to party hard! Some of these guys are pretty bad dudes, but don't let that stop you from owning this commemorative shirt design.

You see, the term "party" here has two meanings...for the price of one!

Buy today and maybe I'll include a set of party hats and a balloon so you can recreate this famous scene.

Printed on a 100% cotton shirt from Hanes. Or, if you prefer good clean American-made shirts and don't mind waiting a few extra days, it can be printed on American Apparel brand.

This design is based on the VERY popular "Tripping Hazard" signs that you will find at all of the hottest construction sites around town. I'm telling you right now, this up and coming sign is miles ahead of last year's "No Trespassing" which, let's face it, hasn't been popular since Taft was in office.

Squares, as you know, are the fastest growing killer in America. Wearing this shirt will be a constant reminder to your friends and loved ones to watch out for these silent, deadly shapes. You want to keep your loved ones safe don't you?

The term "squares" can also mean "uncool people," so, you know, the shirts got levels and stuff.

Printed on 100% Hanes brand T-shirts. Or American Apparel, if you can wait a few additional days.

Also be sure to ask about our custom shirt printing. Customize a shirt for a loved one for around 20 bucks!

Once again, all of the entries made me very happy, but the entry that made me the happiest was Mark Mendez's "Ain't no party like a communist party" design.

Thanks once again to all who entered. Look for a new contest in the next month or so.

Our latest t-shirt design blogtest is a "choose-a-caption" style contest. The image we are using is a portrait of communism's finest. Marx, Engels, Lennin, Stallin, and Mao grace this free poster found in some garage sale free box by roommate/revolutionary Milo Arr. The deadline is the end of May so keep those captions coming! Guest celebrity judge Milo Arr will announce the winner in June!

We're back with an all new t-shirt design contest.
As most of you probably don't know, every November, we all celebrate Hanksgiving: a time to love and appreciate the works of Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. Now that December has rolled around, we now celebrate two new holidays: Goldie Hawn-ika and Kris Kristofferson-mas.

Your job this month is to come up with a t-shirt design that celebrates actors as holidays. Simple as that. Good luck!

After much deliberation (seriously) I have picked the winners for last month's contest. Remember, these winners are based on the criteria of nonsensical pop culture references that don't really necessarily have anything to do with Star Wars at all.

1. The Boba Fett caption winner:
"Support our Troops" from JD Fisher  (it's topical and ridiculous!)

2. C3PO and ewoks caption winner:
"A Prize Every Time"  Trip Ross (what does that even mean?)

3. Yoda caption winner:
"Wanna Start Something?" Shauna (Sorry it's not the Diabetis one...almost as obscure as the Bruce Jenner one).

Added bonus:
I will also be printing a run of all three designs by Mark Mendez since they are all awesome and he did all the hard photoshop work!
 Congratulations!

Bad news:
Since clearly this season is too busy for Brown and myself to keep up with our Myspace page, there will be no contest for November. Stay tuned for the December contest. In December.

This fall we're excited to announce a line of shirts designed by fashion superstar Dr, Goodtimes (check out his myspace page on our top friends). One of his many innovations combines popular Star Wars characters with popular phrases that often don't actually go together. Like this:

Or this:

Or the upcoming Han Solo shooting a blaster with the words "Rhinestone Cowboy" underneath. You get the idea, it's like badly translated japanese combined with pop culture references.

This month, we will provide three Star Wars images and will require from you, a phrase to accompany said picture. Here they are:

2.

Remember, the more nonsensical, the better.

Sorry for the delayed post but the judges have been deliberating for the last 111 hours straight, locked in a room with nothing but their wits and a bare 100 watt light bulb dangling above. Here's the much anticipated announcement for the Karaoke-themed contest:

****Third place:
"Karaoke: Giving irony a bad name since 1972"
~Former KJ (and precursor/mentor to your favorite Love Doctor) Brad Bush!

****Second Place:
"Karaoke - 'Cause I'm sick of singing to my junk." (With a tasteful picure of a person singing in the shower).
~Karaoke master/ photoshop enthusiast Nick Franck: the man with two first names!

****And the first place winner is the simple and childish:
"Karaoke-Dokey!" (With a picture of a big Thumbs-Up)
~Part-time KJ/full time boring job haver, Shauna Rybolt!

There were many almost-winners but these were the ones we went with. Stay tuned for October's contest theme tonight!

This month's contest ties into Campbell and Brown's other interest: Karaoke! Your assignment is to come up with a motto for the art of karaoke (ie. "Karaoke: It's not about not sucking..."). If you get stumped, try coming up with a clever pun involving the song lyrics to an often-sung karaoke song. Feel free to add a graphic or clipart if your design requires.

The winnig design may be displayed and sold at the Boiler Room (if Nikki approves). Good luck!
