Hey Everyone,

Over the next couple months we really have a lot going on. We will be sorta revamping everything from the pages to new photos and even new slightly different music. One of the things we want to do is start a promo team. While we can not pay anyone at this moment we will take care of you when we can. Free entry to specific shows, cd's, merch, etc.. We will make sure you are properly taken care of for your work. You will get your own personal email address from my management company and really be part of the team.

If you are interested in being part of this and would like more details please email my manager Kris at Unlimited Ent (KShewokis@unlimitedent.net) Thanks for the continued support !!

I had the pleasure of spending the day/night with Mat Kearney last week and i wanted so share with you something. Mat is very sincere and it is what draws me to his music. It was very surreal to meet and talk about life with Mat. I wanted to share how inspired for not only musical reasons but for life as well. Mat had a very refreshing take on things in general and his love for old school things like 8mm film was fascinating.
i know to Mat it was a night of drinks after a show with some new people but it was way more than that to me. Thanks to both him and tyler burkrum for making it a night to remeber. Check out Mat's new single closer to love its quite amazing.

After 3 years of playing together I write this blog to inform you  that I will be saying goodbye to part of our team. Bryan and Anna Kelly have decided to move on from the band to explore life away from this project and explore future endevours. Bryan and Anna brought a great deal of their unique sound to my CD and to my live shows. I wish them happiness in their lives and future musical projects.
Bryan and I have been creating music since 1999! It was a great ride and without him I would have never gotten this far.
As with all music I am entering a new and exciting phase with many new things on the horizon. I am in no rush to replace these band members at the moment but some of the shows will feature a trio line up.
Hears to success for all involved in 2009 and beyond

Cheers
Brian

I hope everyone who reads this is ready for new music because I surely am. I have been writing alot lately and cant wait to share my music with the co writers i have enlisted to get this thing going.
Alot of the new songs are more simplistic in nature and put more focus on the words and melodies than trying to fool your ear with all kinds of rythms. You could say that i am developing more into a songwriter. I also will be experementing with different styles of music like R & B as I will be pitching a song to a R and B artist. (Ill keep you posted on that)

I hope 2009 finds you feeling healthy and re-energized for a new year. I just really hope that mr groundhog see's his shadow this year cause winter brings the blues but lots of songs apparently!

So i stole this idea from my good friend Melissa its great and i thought  I would try it out as well...

its a quick synopsis of all the things i learned this year....going into 2009

Keep in mind alot of this is inside jokes!

Life is never going to be easy but show up and do it with a smile no matter what

That having your team win a championship eases 18 years of pain in an instant

At the end of everything you're chasing Family and Friends are what I cherish the most

Playing music is healing in so many ways

Even though you're a good person you can still be capable of bad things

I have the best group of friends that I love dearly

Alcohol doesn't make things go away but its still tasty

A great buzz beats being drunk

Nothing beats a good hoody

Caffeine is my friend

Nothing can enhance a feeling like music

Cell phone chargers aren't cheap

.Colorado Springs is a lot different from Denver, CO

Toronto is very clean until Americans show up

I am famous in Niagara Falls and Ryan makes for a good PR person

The Red Sox aren't invincible L but still make me very proud

Don't ever try moving a freezer on your own unless you like stitches

Male greyhounds are really Labradors are in disguise

No hats are safe in my house

Magners is very tasty and goes down very easily

John Harvards is no longer and "open" mic

Sometimes your problems need to take a backseat so you can be there for your friends

I find strength through my friends

Melissa and Kaleena have great heads on their shoulders

 bass players have amazing personalities

Chad Perronne is still the most amazing songwriter

Coldplay kicks my butt

You can never change who you are you can only be conscious of your flaws

If you work really hard you can do it

Giving back is always better than receiving

Mike P is the best friend a musician/person can ask for

My sister is awesome when she is sober, even more awesome when she's not

Scott Haney still has no idea who the hell I am

The term "neck tears" should never be used EVER again

When its your best friend getting married you will cry

I am a softie

Brian Moroney is the real deal and this shit really is platinum

I am constantly in awe with the musicians I get to work with

I so told you Renata would be famous

The Webster Theatre still bites the big one

I'll never get tired of pictures of you

Holidays are overrated

Crocs are actually pretty comfortable

The dark knight rules my world

Alan Veniscofsky makes hit records

Its still weird to pump gas to your own songs

Being 27 is a very scary thing

You can still learn something new about yourself everyday

There is still a fire inside me that can be lit

Steve Leighton gives better advice than DR PHIL

You can't just mail it in anymore, it doesn't fly

Playing bars with NO a/c is as bad as it sounds

You can fix a hole in the wall but it will still always leak a little bit

You can't be everything to everyone

Your boy will always be your boy no matter what

K money is the funniest dude ive ever met

Toronto cross walks had no idea what was waiting for them on floor 4

Strippers in Niagara are very nice they give cab rides

You can make people believe you really are british

Birthdays really are meant to be lived through foggy eyes

Apparently I LOVE HOOTERS

It never gets old saying 18-1

Family is still family

My brother can actually talk and be personable J

Getting hit on @ concerts doesn't mean I am still not really insecure

There are some really beautiful people in the world

I am hotter than Gavin Degraw because he is paler than me

I still hate winter

Running still is the best drug

I really can ride 50 miles on a bike in the worst heat of all time

Just because he is not my neighbor doesn't mean he still isn't the best neighbor alive

Patience is a trait I cherish

Myspace is still the devil , Facebook isn't

When a photo of me is tagged it means "Brian was drunk last night"

I am capable of things I never knew I was both good and bad

I am learning to be selfish

I love to be missed

My dad really is one of my best friends

Cheers to 2009

Drawn To Revolving Doors

Just wanted to give a quick update as to what 2009 will look like for any BJ fans ( i know that sounds dirty)  but bare with me here.

2009 will be all about new songs. I have arranged several different co-writers and song writing sessions that will take place along with the recording of a new single which i hope to have completed soon called " There she goes again" which has been getting played at all the shows lately. Damon Scott of 96.5 really likes the song and we will do our best to get a studio version of this tune out there. Also look for me at the bushnell theatre in January with Damon as part of Ha Ha Hartford!

Some of the songwriters I will be enlisting are great local, regional and national writers. Including Chad Perrone who am i super excited to work with. For those of you who know I have a major fascination with Chad's writing and most recently I went to play and sit in with his band in Haverhill,MA the night was filled with songs he wrote for his old band Averi and his solo project. Getting to see his vast catalogue of tunes from a wide time span showed me just how strong of a songwriter he really is. There isnt one song i dont love and his knack for arrangment and unbelievable emotional capture is at such a high consistency its amazing.

getting the chance to work with Chad is the equivelent of getting to work with someone as well versed as a Rob Thomas. Chad is that good of a writer. Also i will be doing some work with Kala Farnham and Mike P two local singer songwriters who also have great ideas outside of my comfort zone. Mike P actually helped co-write "there she goes again":

We will be spending alot of time in and out of several studios with several  songs and doing our best to shop them around. Also your feedback on the tunes will be most appreciated as we post them to myspace and dont worry we will be playing plenty of shows this year as well!

Thanks for a fabulous 08

Cheers

I am not going to go on for hours spilling my heart out about how grateful I am for how things went on Saturday night but I do want to express my gratitude.

Getting to see so many of my great friends, new friends and hearing my favorite bands was a night I will never forget. If you missed it you defientely missed out.

Chad Perrone and Columbia Fields  I cant say enough about how awesome your sets were and how much of a guilty pleasure for me it was to sit there and listen. It was incredible.

Thank you to my great friends, family members and of course you for coming out. Alot of hard work has gone into the last 2 years of playing music and this was a huge payoff for me. There is still more work to do always but i must say being able to stand up there and seeing some of my great friends and new friends singing those songs back to me was something i had always dreamed of. Even if i never get to where i am going in this industry those moments will be the ones I cherish the most.

Thank You
