Current mood: working
When one speaks about Jean-Felix Lalanne at his beginnings, it is often as "exceptionally gifted of the guitar". After he has touched his first guitar at 11 years old, he gives one year later his first solo concert. Thus, he will divide the scene at the sides of Marcel Dadi who consequently becomes his mentor. At only 14 years, Jean Felix Lalanne is aligned with the elite of the guitarists of the academy of guitar of Marseilles at the time of an album recorded in public. Force is to note his talent, he obtains the licence in traditional concert of guitar and intervenes henceforth as a teacher. But it is at 17 years old that Jean Felix undertakes his first musical project: an album in which he transcribes the Night ones, Valses, and Polish of Chopin. Original and complex exercise which does nothing but poke its artistic apetite. He then becomes arranger, very solicited producer and studies at the same time the orchestration, art which has fascined him for always. It is quite naturally, whereas he is only 20 years old, that he creates his first symphony. "The Romantique symphony" which will be played by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the RTBF at the time of the Festival of guitar of Liege, Bruxelles. Several other symphonic concertos and parts followed from there, which some were played in various festivals in Europe and in the United States. Arrive finally the years of consecration, in 1986, he is nominated with the Victories of the Music for the movies soundtracks of "the Passage" with Alain Delon, and more recently, in 2004 with "Dédales" of René Manzor with Lambert Wilson. Other movies where he composed were born, with actor international such as Jean Réno, Vanessa Paradis or Jeanne Moreau. True "chameleon" of the music, Jean-Félix Lalanne maintains the footbridges between the various musical vaults with brilliance. In turn leader, instrumentalist, type-setter, arranger, or producer, he remains one of the most talented guitarists of his generation but especially one of most prolific. To date the artist recorded more than 23 albums. On his artistic way, it crosses his guitar with that of Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed at "Chet Atkins convention" and becomes very close to them. Or with the most beautiful French voices in his album "Autour de la guitare". "Autour de la guitare", show which is born in 2000, account like one of most beautiful musical adventures of Jean Felix Lalanne. An ambitious concept which leads him to join together around the instrument a multitude of artists who come to pay homage to him. From now on, make annual, these evenings very awaited by the in love ones with the guitar and the neophytes, are given to counter closed in Olympia, the Casino of Paris, and even at the Palais des Sports... But in 2005, caught up with by his passion for the symphonic music, Jean-Felix Lalanne writes a new orchestral part: "THE ASTRAL SYMPHONY". A work including 12 movements, each one illustrating the principal characters of the signs of the zodiac. In addition to the universal matter and federator whom one henceforth in Jean Felix Lalanne, this symphony is also illustrated by the originality of triangular soloists: the toothing-stone, the piano, and well evidemment the guitar. Three instruments which in addition evolve inside a symphonic formation. Always advancing same step, Jean Felix offers to us in 2006 the last born of his projects "guitaristic". The album live "Ensemble", in duet with the guitarist Michel Haumont. Album which shows a new facet of the artistic personality of Jean Felix: play without stake...
