Since Johnny Cash’s death in 2003 numerous tribute artists across the globe have paid homage to their music hero while his popularity continues to grow year after year.....

One tribute show honoring The Man in Black includes a level of authenticity the others can not claim. The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute, starring Cash’s legendary drummer of nearly 40 years, W.S. “Fluke” ....Holland...., is set for an appearance in ....Holland....’s hometown of ....Jackson.., ..Tennessee.... next month.....

W.S. Holland, also the first drummer for rock and roll pioneer Carl Perkins,  is the only drummer Cash ever employed and played on the original recordings of classics such as Ring of Fire, I Walk The Line, Boy Named Sue and blockbuster Cash albums including Live at Folsom Prison and others.....

The show, that also stars Cash tribute artist Frank Hamilton and The New ....Tennessee.... 3 will play ....Union.. ..University....’s G.M. Savage Auditorium Saturday, April 4, at ..7:30p.m... ....

....Hamilton....’s uncanny vocal, and even physical, resemblance to Cash has earned him a following all his own over the past three decades he has paid musical homage to his hero. W.S. All my life I had wanted to go to America, but even though I was a proffesional and have woked for the Americans all over France and Germany, the chance never came to go to the States!  In Oct 2000 my luck changed in two ways bad and good!  The bad news that struck suddenly on the 19th of Oct, was me being rushed into hospital with massive internal bleeding from my stomach, leaving me twenty minutes to live, on arrival at Rochdale infirmary!  The good news is I got better!  The problem was caused by continuous drinking throughout my forty years in show_biz.  So from that day to this I have never longed for, or wanted, or touched a drink!  it took me about two years to walk straight and I got better, against all the odds, because the doctors said if I got past the first five years I would be rather lucky! Now I am enjoying my life, and writing and singing my own music, and kind of chasing or following my dreams,at last!  My dreams are what I write about because I feel that I have so much to tell to young people, and try to lead the way, for everybody to follow your dreams!
