More Prayers for Mom Please!
Mom told me she believes the prayers are working
Some good news and some that requires prayer;
Mom is in the hospital after her first series of chemo treatments preexisting chrones has flaired up. Doctors are recommending a transfusion and say with it she will feel much better.
Good news; testing so far indicates she is in an early controllable stage of multiple myeloma. Bone marrow test results are good.
I would like to share an experience she related to me that happened recently. Before she was hospitalized she drove to the store to get a battery for her phone (turns out phone co. had accidently cut her line when doing repair work nearby.) She said it was pouring rain and she had forgotten her glasses and was afraid to drive home. Her thought was ; "God please help me, I can't see!"
She asked a clerk at the store for paper towels to clean her windshield and when she returned to her car she looked down at a puddle in the empty parking space next to her car and there sat a pair of glasses! She wiped them off, tried them on and was able to see clearly!
I reminded her of this answered prayer to help bolster her faith. Mom and I have experienced some pretty awesome, unusual things in our lifetime including having the same dream at the same time.
Mom and I would like to thank everyone for the prayer and support, it means so much!

Simultaneous Dream
One morning years ago Mom walked into the kitchen and told me she had an unusual dream the night before. I asked her if she wanted to talk about it and she proceeded to tell me a dream that was the same dream I had that night!
I let her finish telling of her experience she concluded with; " I felt I should write it down but I was too afraid to get out of bed"
I told her to follow me to my room, reached under my bed and pulled out a notebook in which I had written everything down. She knew I never left the room when she told me the story.
I asked her if she would have believed I experienced the same thing if I hadn't produced the notebook. Oddly enough we didn't see each other in the dream.
She said yes she would though I'm sure the fact that I had written it down would remove any possibility of doubt.

A friend asked if I had any experience I'd like to share and it prompted the memory of this event. (one of many)

Years ago Cleveland was celebrating thier bicentennial. I was asked to draw caricature portraits and perform mime.

I usually stroll as a mime so when I was told they may want 20min performances on stages distributed around the Cuyahoga River, I thought "What do do?"

I decided to practice playing the recorder (this is years b4 the popularity of "the Secret" etc.)
I don't read music so I just played songs that I could remember the music to. Two in particular came to mind; 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens and "He's a Rebel" by the Crystals. (2 oldies)

Ended up never having to play the flute.
A few months later I was asked to draw caricatures during an intermission at an oldies concert. My daughter was with me facepainting and when intermission was done, she said she was hungry and wanted to go home.

2 boys had been hanging around us the entire time said, " don't go we want you to stay" I explained my daughter is hungry etc.
One of the boys said; "There's lots of food backstage" I told him we didn't have backstage passes so he and the other boy said:"Everyone knows who we are back there" and handed us their passes.

As we entered the backstage area one of the singers from the Tokens and one of the singers from the Crystals were singing a duet. When I was sketching the singer from the crystals one of the boys came up to me pointed out a man and said; "You should draw him, he's the one who wrote "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

So I did, I drew him with a lion sleeping next to him with a spilled bottle of nodoze LOL

There were other bands performing, but the only one's backstage when I was there were the one's I played on my flute!

About a month after that I was at an artist friends house playing scrabble with him and his wife. When he was absorbed in his move for the game I decided to tell his wife about what happened.

As soon as I mentioned "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" the alternative style music they had playing on their stereo stopped and the first few notes of "the Lion" played. She looked at me wide-eyed and said; "That's weird!" then the song went back to alternative.

When I resumed it started to play "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" again. The timing was uncanny and absolutely perfect! I didn't plan this, they had the stereo on when I arrived and I had never heard the music they were playing before.

I didn't vizualize meeting these performers when I played my flute. I was just playing what I remembered...or so I thought. I also didn't plan what happened during the scrabble game.

I am grateful to have fascinating experiences like this!
