The Collective-Era artisans (of which this website hereby documents) are, in these times of restriction and cloudy skied conservatism, as dedicated as ever to producing, for your consumption, the very best (as they can reasonably manage) in high grade visual quarks and quirks. Their ever expanding vocabulary of villainary will next be displayed (with new works a plentiful) at the Customs House Gallery in South Shields in the early moments of 2008. If you'd care to join them be prepared to up sticks and rush Tyneward on our signal. The rewards promise to be tantalising!

Collective-Era present new collaborative paintings. Each painting has been worked on by up to four artists whose separate styles and viewpoints collide and combine on the canvas. An amalgamation of abstract, surreal and graffiti  like artwork, each painting is a manifestation of the larger group consciousness.

Exhibition: We already managed to blag our way into an exhibition intended for immigrant & refugee artists (see newspaper article), and now we seem to have stumbled into a show for people with mentle health problems! We're confused too...

Currently working on 2 pieces in the Bullers studio.

On the left is what is provisionally entitled "Human Landscape no.1" older version here. A piece already 5 months in development - seemingly the lumbering unformed monster in my collection- I'm finally getting the oil paint layers on.. Pushing myself with multiple light sources, explosions, soap bubbles and waterfalls aplenty using explorative techniques and styles.

On the right is a present I'm working on for my sis currently untitled it's more of a foray into automatic painting than I'm used to.
