Hi All, this time I am recording with a turkish salsa project. Traditional turkish music in clave...instead of the common 4/4 or 6/8, the rhythms are different: 9/8, 14/8, 9/4, 10/4.

Other musicians are Reno Steba, Lucas van Merwijk, Marc Bisschof and Hasan, the band is called "HASAN BAND".

And there is also great news about TIMBAZO...we played at the worlds biggest indoor Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, on a main stage right after the Herbie Hancock
5-tet! - in front of a 4000 people audience. We had the complete Band plus Brian Lynch and Pepe Espinosa. Later I will put movies, pictures links etc on my site[s].
At the afterparty we jammed with musicians from Italuba and the great great drummer Ernesto Simpson.
Before NSJF, TIMBAZO played at the Latin Village Festival in Holland at a major stage, together with Colombia's Sonora Carusseles.

We will play on 9 august at the festival in Vlaardingen, close to Rotterdam...

Dear friends - The concert at Rasa, Utrecht was again a great succes...we received lots of kudos...there was a great dancing and listening crowd!!!

On this session we [Lucas v. Merwijk, Marc Bischoff, Wigbert Martina, Pedro Pardo and me] recorded for the metropole orchestra starring famous bandoneon player Carel Crayenhof. It will be released in october 2008 by Universal.
Cd presentation on october 01. Concertgebouw Amsterdam...

I am right now recording with the great percussionist/singer Armando Vidal. The Cd repertoire is mainly composed and arranged by Cuban composer Antonio Perez, who also penned for Issac Delgado [Luz Viajera on Otra Idea]. On piano Marc Bischoff, bass ex-AfroCuba's Denis Nicles. The Cd will come out 2008.

The Timbazo concert was a huge success!!! The venue was packed, completely sold out, a great party!
