I Have Lived
I have run across the fields of time,
And felt the refreshing showers of blessings.
I know that some of the flowers
By the roadside are mine.
I have felt the sun of toil and the wind of pain.
I have sat in the shade of peace,
and ridden the waves of sorrow.
I've learned that today's sunshine
Can turn into tommorrow's rain,
And if tommorrow never comes, I don't worry,
For I have touched the hand of the future,
And I know that God holds the future in His hands.
I have lived in the joy of my family,
I have lived in the love of Jesus,
And if I die tommorrow,
I still shall live.
