It is clear by now that IMPALEMENT is short a bassist. However, the show must go on.
While we await a prospect for the bass player position, IMPALEMENT is beginning work on a lot of new things.
Right now, IMPALEMENT is in the process of finding a new rehearsal space. Here are a few things that will be going on soon after that:
Over at N.E.W.(Next Era Wrestling), star and co-owner, Brian Eminon, has asked IMPALEMENT to create him a new song for his entrance music. The song titled, "Pain Don't Hurt", an ode to the late Patrick Swayze from his famous line in Road House, is a song about physical and mental strength. Undoubtedly these are two things that it takes to perform as a wrestler, as well as a musician. IMPALEMENT is hoping to record the song at Up Country Studios, which is owned and operated by members of the well known Buffalo band, Nobody Lives Forever. Kudos to Brian, Nobody Lives Forever, and N.E.W.
Also, IMPALEMENT has begun the writing for the 8th and final song that will be featured on a new album, which we hope to see released in 2010. This will be IMPALEMENT's first studio album since 2004's, "This is the Beginning of the End" The only information that can be givin at this time, is that the album will also feature the tracks "Battle Cry" and "The Central Tendency" from the 2009 demo, which you can hear on the myspace now. The songs will be touched up to fit the album, of course, and IMPALEMENT promises production on this album to be stellar.
A couple of months ago, IMPALEMENT said that we were going to be updating our myspace. With recent developments as they have been, such as losing our bassist, that was slowed down. We are in touch with a company that is going to be updating our myspace very soon. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. The graphics have been done for some time now, and the myspace is going to look very nice.
Thank you for reading! Kudos go out to all of our friends, fans, and family: Thank you for your support, to Annie Vicaretti (photos, merch, and site updates), the McDonald Family(Christine, Chip, Jimmy, Sam) for your support and promotional help, all of the members of Malformed (may your band go above and beyond), Beyond this Day, Twelve Gauge Apocalypse, His Name Was Yesterday, Intox, and many many more bands of the Rochester area and beyond. Tyger Smith and all of N.E.W. Wrestling, The Sunday Night Shakedown with Frank DeBlaze, all of those venues of Rochester (you all rock), and to anyone we missed, you know who you are. Kudos to you all!!! See you soon. -IMPALEMENT

We need someone who is going to be able to TOUR!!! We
are about to be under a management contract and it is very important
that anyone who tries out for us understands the weight of these
priorities.
IMPALEMENT is going past the local level and transitioning to the regional level, and we need YOU!
We
have a good amount of music complete, and you will sorta just be
slipping into an existing situation, should be a fairly smooth
transition. The majority of what we do is our own music. Once in a great while we slip in a cover, but just for fun.
We are very serious about our goals in the music business! Going for the big time is something we plan to do NOW!
Please feel free to contact us if you are an aspiring bass player with ambition, music ability such as writing skills, and gear.

IMPALEMENT- ESTABLISHED PROGRESSIVE THRASH METAL BAND NEEDS BASSIST. Our bassist quit when we had a lineup of shows. Unfortunately, we did have to cancel our previous engagements. It is unfortunate to announce that bassist Josh Alonzo, has quit IMPALEMENT. Josh is a good friend and was always great to work with. Unfortunately,
Josh told us that he feels that his heart is not in it enough to make
the sacrifices that are necessary to make a career out of music.
IMPALEMENT
is on the verge of taking some heavy leaps, and some large endeavors.
Other than doing shows, things have sort of been at a stand still while
we make these adjustments, but at this point IMPALEMENT is 100%
dedicated to crossing over into the business world and doing everything
that is necessary to do that.
We are seeking a new bassist. Any
bassists who inquire need to know that you NEED to be fully dedicated
to making it in the music world. If you are married with kids and a
house, or have a job that you can not get free from, you are not a good
candidate. If you feel that you have what it takes and would be able to benefit us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Friend bands, any help you can provide is welcome and would be greatly appreciated.
We are starting auditions NOW! For anyone who is interested, please contact us here at our myspace, or call 810-334-6186
Thank you for reading. -IMPALEMENT |

Battle Cry Lyrics: Michael Joseph Blood
Destruction. Mass genocide. Methods of causing you pain. Dying. The war is on us. Blowing out your fucking brains. You're fucked, cause I see red. What does all of this mean? Fuck you. I want you dead? Your life don't mean jack shit to me.
No doubt you'll win this war But the battle belongs to me. One final blow to even the score. The taste of war, give me more.
You have no idea the pain that kills, building up inside. You might kill me, but before I die, You will hear my... Battle cry Battle cry Battle cry You will know my wrath.
Motherfucker. Hurt some more. Barely penetrating the skin. Twisting. Internal damage. I hope that this does you in. You lose, in hand to hand. Now blackness is filling your sight. Thank god. You're finally dead. Embrace eternal, the end of your life.
No doubt you'll win this war But the battle belongs to me. One final blow to even the score. The smell of war, more, more, more.
You have no idea the rage that burns, keeping me alive. I win - you lose, now you die. Now you know my... Battle cry Battle cry Battle cry Battle cry
Savage, the beast within. Enforcing power, your life for your sins. Manifesting destiny, your death on my soul. Birthing of lust, loss of control. Blood drained, knife pulled from your chest. Bullet to head, laid you to rest. Why now, but never before? Because mother fucker, this is a war.
Paint me red, crave the blood, down face first, in the mud. Paint me red, pour the blood, on your own. Die alone.
I can't let you take my life No matter what you've done to me. I'm going to leave it behind Go ahead fucker, set my soul free.
Battle cry Battle cry Battle cry Set my soul free.

See Pitch Black Lyrics: Micah "The Core" Etzel
It seems I am stuck, Forever in a box, I try to get out, But I can't see the top, The more I claw at nothing, Harder pound my fists, To break out and rid my life of this. Continuous beatings from the maxim whip, As I'm forced to bow to all this stupid shit, To the kings of nothing, On their thrones of self absorbed, You will never take my rite of mind.
Look into my eyes, See pitch black.
I wish you could only know just how much I see, But I'm held in such a low esteem, I know that I am a slave, I'll escape, and when I do, I'm coming the fuck after you.
It's a compromising position, Shackled to this concrete floor, Pushed and pulled for reasons beyond reckon, Bruised, branded, and scored. My body abstains from so much pain, That no normal man could ever endure, I've Been through the worst of worst and nothing will stop me, Stab a hole through my fucking heart, You'll never stop me.
Look into my eyes, See pitch black.
I wish you could only hear what I have to say, But I'm put in such a lowly place, I know that I am a slave, I'll get free, and when I do, I'm coming the fuck after you.
I run through the halls like a laboratory rat, Walls slam down as I search for my prize, One final opening to bare it all, Tonight will be the night you die. I break in the door with a bold faced title, Clenching bony fingers around your fucking neck, The blade of my knife finds its home in your throat, No pity, no sorrow, no remorse, nothing said. No regrets,
As you look into my eyes and see pitch black.

Into the Fray Lyrics: Micah "The Core" Etzel
Your life is shit when you're the infantry man, Risking your life for nothing again and again. Fear and anger, frustrations you emit. I am fed up with this real time bullshit. I want to feel the power, I want to see the melee. I don't wanna feel no fucking delay. I wanna see the good stuff, artillery and metal, ahhh There aint nothing better.
Why should I render myself helpless? It's not an option, Gonna tear you limb from limb. Why should I take this shit from you? Why not? Huh? Because I'm in a machine of war.
When I think of these things the word tank comes to mind. To smash and explode and leave time to fucking grind. Making all decisions going into the fight, My gun turret cares not who's wrong or who's right. Breaking through barriers, pummeling through walls. Crushing fucking watch towers forty feet tall. It's all coming down and there's nothing much to say. It's all coming down and it's fucking coming down today.
Now that I wreak havoc in my tank, I'm gonna take it now. I have the advantage. Your life is doomed. If you're the enemy, goodbye, because you're going down.
After all the mayhem passes straight by, It's hard not to wonder what it would be like to die. Piles of masses all over the ground, From the soldiers that went down and hit earth bound. Cash in your death chips to see who won or run, According to the intercom, the battle is done. A lot of dead bodies all over the ground, So you better watch your back because what goes around comes around.
It's coming back, the sky is black, And it recycles itself again. It's only a matter of time until the dawn of the day, And then it's back, Into the Fray.

With Aggression Lyrics: Micah "The Core" Etzel
Why do people have to care About what other people think about them? Is there a reason for people pissing me off? You try to fuck me into believing I don't fit in. People just keep on taking other people's shit. When are they gonna realize, It's not worth it?
Think this, wear that. Follow this. Fuck that! You're a puppet.
Never gonna be no one but someone else. Stop conforming and be your own self. It really is sad how people are judged by What they wear, who they've screwed, And not what they've done.
What exactly makes a man what they are? A job, a girl, and a new fucking car? Every time I hear a stupid bitch talk about it I just wanna take a knife and rip her fucking guts out with it. People these days are so closed minded. If they had half a brain they wouldn't need to find it. Just imitate someone else.
Be like the the crowd, Don't worry, you'll fit. Become one of us. Bullshit.
Never gonna be yourself. Stop conforming and be your own self. It really is sad how people are judged by What they wear, who they've screwed, And not what they've done.
Your sorry trends Are insignificant. You think we'll bend? We stay true to the statement.
Making little rules to determine Who belongs and who doesn't. Think this, wear that. Follow this. Fuck that!

The First Revelation
Lyrics: Michael Joseph Blood
God dammit, what the fuck have I been handed?
Just blood and death and misery,
Things my mind has chosen not to see.
Ahhh
I'm nothing short of being scared.
Things are happening (so fast) I'm not prepared.
Shit is gonna eventually balance itself out, isn't it?
I wish I knew, but I'm not sure.
I am just a hopeful.
This can't be my pain,
Everyone else's burden floats on to me in vein.
This can't be my pain,
Everyone else's burden floats on to me,
Can't you see I can't do anything?
I can't help but think my life fucking sucks.
I can not tell so here I am, hopeless as before.
Transcending further, and in deeper than before.
Never running away, not again, not this time.
Never running away again, I stand straight... waiting.
This can't be my pain,
Everyone else's burden floats on to me in vein.
This can't be my pain,
Everyone else's burden floats on to me,
Can't you see I can't do anything?
I can't help but think my life fucking sucks.
Oh yeah, it sucks!
I don't know whats come over me,
It's like static electricity.
It's guiding me, I feel its surge,
Indulging on my flesh.
It's riding up my spine,
Like fingers rolling over my chest.
A tingling sensation I can not fight.
My mind is flooded with a cascading voice.
It's got me by the throat, nose at the sky.
I must listen, I have no choice.
I'm told my life's meaning in the blink of an eye.
Everything I need to know, now, becomes mine.
I can't deny.
I am now its vessel, I die, I'm reborn sublime,
This vision mine,
This vision mine.
My pain has been released from me.
Everyone else's burden floats on to me.
Once I thought I could'nt do anything.
Now I'm the guide, its up to me.
My pain has been released from me.
Everyone else's burden floats on to me.
Once I thought I could'nt do anything.
Now I'm the guide, its up to me.
Don't blame me for opening your eyes.
Don't hate me for opening your mind,
and don't thank me, cause I'm not god,
and I don't want your praise.
I am no better man.
